    Description:
Raw food author and chef Jennifer Cornbleet shows you to make a delicious gluten-free raw granola, which is then topped with raw almond milk. From her DVD, Raw Food Made Easy.
If you enjoy a hearty breakfast, a bowl of granola with milk can be a healthy, filling way to start your day. The problem is that commercial breakfast products are often loaded with processed sugar and corn syrup and many brands are made with a great deal of fat.
In this video, Jennifer Cornbleet shows you how to wake up to a delicious, satisfying bowl of raw breakfast goodness without opening a box of sugary cereal or a carton of 'moo juice.' Instead, her healthy recipe for raw granola with dairy-free almond milk will re-define the way you think about the first meal of the day.
    Ingredients
    • Raw almonds
    • Raw sunflower seeds
    • Raw walnuts
    • Medjool dates
    • Cinnamon
    • Salt
    • Fresh fruit
Jennifer talks about soaking nuts and seeds, a raw food technique used in many recipes, and then demonstrates a simple, counter-top method for creating nut milk from soaked almonds.
Nut milk is one of the 'miracles' of raw food cooking. Made by combining soaked almonds (or Brazil nuts) and water, homemade nut milk is more nutritious than boxed non-dairy milk. And if you let the nuts soak while you sleep, you'll only need to spend a few minutes in the morning blending and straining the liquid.
And when you're feeling a little 'peckish' at night, a bowl of raw granola and almond milk is sure to hit the spot without weighing you down or interfering with your sleep.
Raw food enthusiasts are often referred to as 'crunchy granolas'...and this incredibly satisfying raw granola with almond milk recipe may be one reason why.

I Googled whether I could freeze freshly made nut milks, and the answer is YES! I find that is an easy way to make what I need and can on hand the extra amount in small containers in the freezer.
