We work extremely hard to serve you guys the highest quality story reading content. Each video takes a lot of effort when it comes to thinking of topics, ideation, editing, voice-acting, recording, etc. All the content in these videos are owned by us!
Our Work Process:
1. Come up with questions, research, script, come up with opinions/commentary, polish until ready for recording.
2. Record voice acting the stories/questions, sharing thoughts and opinions and performing it in a creative and transformative fashion for viewers to enjoy.
3. Record gameplay until there is enough interesting footage to use for the background
4. Throw the gameplay in the editing software and then begin typing up the captions, cutting/trimming the voice acting, adding SFX, color correction, removing/adding clips, etc.
5. Final review of the video, if video is not up to the quality desired for this channel. Either go back into the editing software, re-record some lines, change opinions/commentaries.
This is why in Discord and most apps that support it, I have a warning tone/voice to indicate when I’m muted or unmuted, and I also have it setup on my keyboard to light up red or green on my mute/unmute keys depending on their state.
The rhyme is 'red touches yellow kills a fellow' and 'yellow touches red, soon you'll be dead'.
Many coral snakes that are not venemous have are red, yellow, and black but only the one where red and yellow touch is venemous - the rest have black in between.
Also, cats have extremely fast reflexes. Probably faster than the snake.
It's worth noting: this mnemonic only holds true (usually, because mutations do happen) in certain regions of North America. There are also some regions where the coral snake is the only black/yellow/red banded snake in town, in which case the mnemonic isn't even needed.
The coral snakes that aren't venomous aren't coral snakes, they're milk snakes lol

I was a girl guide leader (canadian girl scouts) from 2018 to 2022. once the pandemic hit, we had to do online zoom meetings, which didn't really work very well. Especially since my group was 5 and 6 year olds. One girl usually had her mom cleaning up from dinner in the background while we held our meetingss, and once we had the girls leave their mics on cause of an activity we were doing. Well while we did it every time the girl fidgeted in her seat or sang or spoke, her mom would yell at her to sit still and shut up, while loudly talking on her phone in the background. We could barely hear eachother speak on the meeting cause her mom was so loud the whole time, and the girl looked like she was going to cry and was scared to speak.
I ended up emailing our area leader about it who had all the leaders present document what they witnessed, and she whipped up a quick 'guidelines' document we sent to all the parents to sign about etiquette for meetings that said something along the lines of "any domestic violence witnessed will be documented and reported to the proper authorities" After that the mother never did that again. I still think about that girl and hope she's doing okay
I hope she's doing ok too, but I kind of doubt it :/
My friend had a situation kind of like this. One of his assignments was to record a presentation is Spanish and upload it to the teacher. He gave the presentation, but missed one little edit so right at the end after he finishes talking, he stands there for a minute then goes "Nailed it!" with accompanying pullup-style arm motion, and then cuts the video. He only realized this after it was uploaded. He still got a passing grade so he didn't have to resubmit it.
😂 My son was a senior in the Spring of 2020. They went virtual directly after spring break. The school board voted that whatever the grade was before spring break would be the final grade OR a they could continue to work online to better a grade. ( Basically no kids would fail… you know because this was a crazy stressful time.) I should also add this was a very small school and his graduation class was under 25 kids. They had NEVER done online classes BUT my son was taking mostly college classes ( through a community college nearby) so he still had to do all of those and there was no safety net. My kid actually had to study. They had not yet sent anything to parents or kids about this decision as they wanted them to still do the work.
My son is logged in to Gym … Yes high school gym class virtually 😂which was his ONLY a high school class. I can hear the teacher encouraging the students to exercise by walking outside after the zoom is over. My son was preparing to join the Army so he was actually running a few miles a day.
I think he is muted… I say “Hey what was your grade in gym class?” He says “100” I say “Then why the heck are you even logging in? It’s a waste of time because the board said your grade would be your grade. You can’t raise it more than 100 so this is pointless. You aren’t even doing any exercise!”
He quickly hits some keys and I can hear the gym teacher say “MRS X, I am giving health and nutrition information since we are not exercising. I am still trying to teach classes” 😂 I thought he was MUTED!
And then his phone blew up with kids asking if they really didn’t have to attend classes. So I accidentally spilled the beans because I was the ONLY a parent that attended the emergency Zoom school board meeting.
My kid still attended the zoom class which had shrank by more than 1/2 the students the next day. I felt like a jerk because he was logging in because he missed his friends 😢.

Not a "forgot to turn off mic", but definitely the weirdest and funniest thing to happen during a zoom lesson.
It was February 2021, when everything was still completely online. I was in my Japanese class and because Valentine's Day was coming up, our classwork/homework was to write a love letter to a partner, parent, friend or whatever in Japanese.
We are all required to have our cameras on so our sensei could see us work, but we were all muted while doing so obviously.
We're working for a minute or two in silence before our teacher suddenly says, "I'm going to put on some music to put you all in the mood."
Im expecting Careless Whisper or some other typically romantic song.
Nope.
The Baby Shark Theme Song starts playing.
You could see everyone on their cameras instantly try to hold back laughter because come on, Baby Shark Theme song to write a valentines day card in Japanese is not what we expected to be doing today 💀🤚
I think i immediately started laughing because of how random it was, but luckily I was muted and collected myself quickly. Once we were put into breakout rooms though, everyone lost it.
That was definitely one of the most memorable zoom classes.
I forgot to turn off the mic once. I was working on a tablet and it was extremely laggy. I tried to turn on the chat on teams as the teacher put a link to something on there. It wouldn’t budge so I shouted “ WHY WONT IT FUCKING WORK” my teacher was like 👁👄👁 ok it’s fine if some of you have issues with technology. My friend sent me a message laughing their ass off at me but at least the camera wasn’t on so I could remain somewhat anonymous for that 😅
So this was back in the 2020-2021 school year: I was a junior in high school and during my Spanish online class, the Spanish teacher was going over a lecture. Meanwhile, I was both listening to the call and checking Discord at the same time. Admittedly, the class was boring. Besides the point, there was something that happened in a Discord server and I was in and I said, "bro really gotta stop meat-riding." because some dude was unnecessarily chiming in after someone spoke. Then my Spanish teacher said "Please make sure you all have your mics muted." I looked at my screen and saw that my mic wasn't muted. Fearfully, I apologized for my inconsiderate self and, lucky for me, my Spanish teacher was understanding and the lecture continued. Now I've grown a habit of double checking if I've actually muted my mic ever since then.

Not technically an accident, but one time during an online college course, the professor may or may not have been teaching the zoom lecture while in a moving vehicle. I assume that someone else was driving.
Ok, in school one person in my class in high school had hearing aids and some device that acted like a mic that teachers would put around their neck so they could hear them better. The strictest teacher ever had to leave the room to ask for something from probably another, i cannot remember what but they took the thing with them and the person heard every conversation the teacher had, i have no clue what they heard but i remember the look of embarrassment on the teacher's face.
And rather similar to that, one time i had the chance to try out a similar device, i told the man who came in to show me how it worked the story above and he told me that one time he was showing another person how to use it, i believe he said it was at a primary school, the usual went to the bathroom and forgot to take the thing off story but on top of that when washing his hands he had a song stuck in his head that he was singing.
Little to say, he realised upon returning to the class what happened.
The fact those really had a good range was wild, i wonder how many other people have stories like these.
Buddy of mine (college) is living with some of his high school friends during quarantine. He usually joined the class, recorded it and followed it up later, they have been on a bender and were ready to go to sleep (class is at 9 am). He joins and forgets to turn of the mic, you can hear them rumbling in the background and a girl who we (as a group of friends) are on good terms with, but not close decides to spam him to let him know what he's doing. Meanwhile the teacher has no idea how to force his mic off.
As they are rambling he (B) and his (male) friend (F) have the following conversation?:

F- Who's ?
B- A girl from my University I don't know what she wants?
F- Is she "hot"?
B- Yeah she's pretty "hot".

I just heard a guy say, "My balls are itchy". Everyone was obviously confused, but the teacher passed it off and mafe a joke about how she has two sons and "has heard everything". The guy didn't talk for the rest of class, though.

Wasps are not "wild bees". Bees, both wild or domesticated, are their own clade within the same Order as wasps. That said, the reason the honeybees that people are most familiar with are so chill is because they are *livestock* that humans have selectively bred for docile temperment. Otherwise, any insect that lives in a hive/nest (ants, bees, hornets, yellowjackets, paper wasps, etc.), where young are collectively reared, is going to be extremely defensive of that structure.
For the record, non-domesticated honey bees are about as chill as people like to make out wasps to be. Adult African elephants nope tf out if they stumble on wild honey bee nests. I wouldn't consider any animal a "jerk" for defending its home and kin, but wild social bees have just as much f-around-and-find-out energy as social wasps.

about the story with the professor giving a muted lesson:
i had a similar experience during an online class.
the teacher went on a rant about who is in whose group for projects and explained the specific tasks of each group, all while having camera on but mic off.
well it took her only around 20 min but that is still long enough to waste a meeting.
though the most awkward part was that this teacher is usually the one to remind the students to mute themselves.

Bees are literally just a subgroup of wasps, within the superfamily Apoidea (spheciform wasps and bees).
My father was hosting a college exam over zoom and one of his students accidentally unmuted their mic and started explaining to their friend how they were cheering on the exam lol
1) Everyone in my college had to take a career development class. When it went to zoom, no one paid attention (not that we did when it was in person). Someone was taking a shower while unmuted with the camera off (luckily)
2) someone was unmuted talking about being hung over and “ripping a fat piss in the drier” when he was drunk
I was presenting an exercise in online math class and noticed a hornet in my room. I excused myself for a moment and shooed the hornet out, while talking to it. I was not on mute. My math teacher found it hilarious.
Once discord called Mr Arrow whilst on the toilet, that was embarrassing 😅

i had a teacher that was very insistent about cameras being on, so i had my cam on the bus and when i got home i needed to take a shower i just put the camera facing to the bathroom ceiling and took a shower lmao my classmates still remember that

This happened to me last year. I was in high school and they had to conduct some online classes for few days.
There were 3 classes per day. One day this guy just starts disturbing the class by playing music sometimes and writing weird names

Then came the last class. This guy just starts playing a p**n video(just the audio not video).
It would have been hilarious if I would've been alone but both my parents were in the house. I frantically exited the meeting and joined after a few minutes. Rest of the class was fine. Respect to our physics teacher for not saying anything about it ever since

one time I was off mic and dropped a chicken wing I was eating.
During the first years of covid I tutored 2 kids at home while they got online lessons. Some learn to teach their kids how to mute the mic, but not everyone knew this. During one of the lessons, a kid asked his muk to come over to help him cause he was strugglkng to understand while the teacher was busy with another kid. Mum got so upset that he shouted "Why do you have to be such a fucking idiot?". Kids were 6-7 year olds and everyone was either shocked, scared or slightly amused to hear swearing.
It was sad as hell, teacher was fuming and asked mum in a polote tone to call her later.
Not a school setting, but my husband forgot to mute his mic in his gaming room on his friend's Discord group chat, all adults. We were having sex two rooms over. Fortunately there was only one person online at the time and once he realized what those distant vocalizations were, he logged out. He was really cool about it, tho.

If you don't need mic all the time, push to talk is the best solution.
I have saved myself a few times at work by only using push to talk.

Once I started watching some edits in class because I was bored, and I found one of my celebrity crush and I screamed “OH MY GOD HE’S SO HOTTTT” thinking I was muted, I was not. Everyone started laughing, and I out of impulse, left the call out of embarrassment.

a streamer friend has a comand that will tell her that she is muted. the comand says "streamer your muted" in a cartoon voice we all find it funny since her cats like to step on her mic button a lot.

People gotta stop being mean about wasps, they're pollinators just like bees are and also help control pests that would otherwise decimate plant life. All because ppl get surprised pikachu that a wild animal with a tiny brain reacts to threatening movements and intrusions on its territory by stinging in self defense. And what bc bees are cuter than wasps?
Technically speaking, bees are wasps, not reverse. I mean, wasps isn't a taxon without bees included (it's a paraphyletic group, whereas a taxon must be a monophyletic), just like dinosaurs is not taxon without modern birds included, making birds technically surviving dinosaurs.
"Mute your mics" is not the correct suggestion in public talks. "Always behave as if your mic is unmuted" is the correct one. I mean, all this online trend makes us feel private and relaxed, as we're sitting at home and all, but really, you're on the conference (albeit online), behave as you would behave in a conference! Don't scream from the audience, don't interrupt others, be polite, et cetera.
