Very informative and well presented video! I’ve got too many keyboard shortcuts to try to remember, so for one-click control, I create actions for my mostly commonly used commands. I use the Insert Menu Item when recording an action; however; I can’t get this to work when I try to record an action to turn on and off the Contextual Task Bar. Would you know of some trick to get this to work?
Good sir. I've been trying to follow your video, but for u/k reasons, there is a text of what you are saying in the way. Is there a way to remove your text of what you are saying?
13:15 The content-aware option with the crop tool has been in Photoshop for a while now. It does an ok job as long as the background detail is generic or you’re filling a small amount of the canvas as you mentioned. However, from what I’ve seen the new generative fill is far superior at extending an image. Especially if you need to extend an image by a large amount and fill it with unique content. You just have to be aware of the 1024 resolution constraint.
Good point. I wonder, however, if the tool has been updated to use the Generative Fill engine in place of the content-aware engine. I noticed while recording this tutorial that I got much better results than expected when overdoing the image extension.
Turn on "Dither" in your gradient tool. This will add noise into your gradient. You can also do this any other way you want in Photoshop-such as adding a noise layer with the overlay blending mode. The other thing that will help with banding is setting your image to 16-bit instead of 8-bit.
Thanks for the vid. How can i select a custom object with the task bar instead of the auto select if the auto select function does not choose the correct object?
You can't with the task bar. But if you activate the Object Selection tool, you can hover over the object and it will highlight in blue. Click to select.
dell xps is a good laptop to work with Ps in daily use of it ?

Thank for these highlight, didn’t know about most of these. Great about adjustment presets hover previews.

Hey Bernie, Simply click on the "CC" button in the player. It's on the bottom right, next to the gear icon.

Thanks Rikard for the clear exposition. And yeah, once I can add my own Adjustment Presets (saving them too) this new feature will become very useful.

merci pour les tips Rikard ! Thanks a lot !
Very useful video on Photoshop 2023 new features, thank you Chief.
You bet!
I have updated to 2023 but it isn't showing the new remove tool.
Try customizing your menu. It may be in your hidden tools.
Hi Rikard. Is there a way to fix the banding while using the gradient to make the image look cleaner?
Turn on "Dither" in your gradient tool. This will add noise into your gradient. You can also do this any other way you want in Photoshop-such as adding a noise layer with the overlay blending mode. The other thing that will help with banding is setting your image to 16-bit instead of 8-bit.
new gradient tool is awesome!

I downloaded it but it will not open in ps2023 it says not right kind of fine
Please make sure you've unzipped the file first. This will result in three separate files, all of which you can open in Photoshop.
Thank your for your video but the content aware crop is from 2021 no ?
Yes, although I did notice an improvement in the results. I think they switched from the content aware engine to the generative fill one.
Lovely...
recommended to watch at x2
