Now THAT'S a lasagna!
Watching you guys make it is as much fun as watching you enjoy it. Bon appetite my friends...
Thanks so much
Also wanted to say that this Lasagna is the very Best I've ever had! Truly not blowing smoke- it is Fabulous. I am lucky enuff to have the Simonetti family share this wonderful meal with us shortly after it was cooked. Best dinner I've had in a while! And...guess what I had for Breakfast?? You guessed it- Lasagna! Excellent meal guys!
Lasagna is a fun dish. It’s kind of like a cake version of pasta. You slice it like cake .It has that celebration feel and many people like it.
I absolutely agree with boiling the lasagna noodles halfway. I don't care for those no-boil types of noodles.
I would easily pay 20 to 25 dollars for a piece of that. Looks so awesome
Thanks!
That sauce with 2 loaves of Italian bread, oh my my my!
I tried it using local Brooklyn goods. Top notch everything and followed the video to detail. This is the only way I will ever make lasagna again.
Great to hear! Thanks for letting us know!
I have been looking for a lasagna recipe to cook for a long time. So far its between you guys and Lydia. I'm gonna go with yours first. I can't wait!!😊
Hope you enjoy!
That looks absolutely incredible and just in case the guys and gals from Fort Hood drop by with an armored division, you've got enough to feed them and then give them some leftovers to take home back to base. It's a beautiful thing!cheers!
Sure, no problem! Just bring a bottle of wine😊
Love it, and someone “god bless” your mother sneezing in the background
Thanks! We will tell her!
The real deal fellas - thanks!!
Our pleasure!
Outstanding gentlemen!
Thanks!
I'm so glad you guys use barilla instead of Dececco Total difference in quality. Sometimes when I make Lasagna, I do the clemenza sauce from the godfafter. After cooking the clamenza sauce, I chop up the meatballs and Italian sausage. I put A little bit of basil and Oregano. I also mix the Ricotta cheese Shredded Mozzarella with fresh Burata cheese.
Great tip!
love your recipes, sorry for the loss of your mother. she's proud of you in what you do.
Thank you
I watched your lasagna making show. You make it just like I do. Love it!!!! You brother’s are fantastic.

Awesome recipe!
Thanks Michael!!!
Looks delish 😋
Thank you 😋
Nice lasagna. I make Sunday gravy meatballs and sausage and briciole refrigerate meat slice using meat in every layer like cheese sauce and noodles. I also like to let it rest 30 min. Especially using those nice deep dish trays. About 15-18 Texas size pieces.
That sounds great! Sunday Gravy Lasagna!
Yummy 🤤 😊Thank you for sharing ❤
Any time 😊
Made this recipe! Incredible..thank you!
Great to hear!
This is one of the BEST sauces I have ever consumed..Good Lord is it good..Thank you
Glad to hear that! I Make this sauce at least once a week.
I am going to try this it looked so good! Thanks
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Looks good. We add ground up Italian sausage to the meat!!!!
Thanks! Yes, A layer of ground sausage sounds great!
What is “Italian sausage”? There is no such thing as Italian sausages. Italy has many varieties of sausages (or “salsiccia” in Italian). Saying “Italian sausage” is like saying “American cars.” What kind of Italian sausage are you talking about?
Looks so delicious 😋
Thank you 😋
This looks delicious. Thank you. I am going to try this. 💯🙏
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
You guys are the best!!!
Thanks Cheryl! Appreciate the support!

Proper ... Excellent chowderThanks👌🏼
Thank you kindly
Yummy.
😋
Learned something new with adding eggs to the ricotta, I never knew that and yes my lasagna although very good, is always a bit runny.
Yes, eggs will bind the cheeses
You guys are AWESOME! Please keep it up! Wish y’all still had a restaurant, I’d definitely travel from Kentucky to eat there!!!
Thanks Steven!
That was beautiful ❤🎉😮! I'm buying my ingredients tomorrow! My heart and soul is craving this.

Oh my soul that looks faaaaantastic! I was wondering what size pan you used as I'm going to make your recipe next week!!! Thannnnk you for this video!!! 🇨🇦👍🇨🇦
Thanks!! About 20x12x4 inches
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Grazie mille!!! (Gotta love Google Translate😉)
I will try this recipe when I make lasagna again. Ps..tell whomever sneezed that I said bless you.
Awesome!
Do you have a nice recipe for biscotti's (almond or anisette)? My grandmother used to make them by the ton (almond) and I'd love to learn how to make them myself. Besides, after a Beef Lasagna, a light desert to go with my Demitasse would be perfect. Thanks.
Not yet!
Thank you, I gotta get parsley for it
Learing it..
God bless you 7:19
I make it like you guys do except instead of ground beef I use ground Italian sausage that is what I grew up with. I also add Oregano to the gravy.
That sounds great 👍
Damn! I love you guys!!!!
Thanks! We appreciate you watching!
You guys are the grater. Keep the good work. Loo ok ve u
Thank you!
Also, which is best, this original one, the eggplant or the mini meatball? Thanks!!!!!
❤❤❤
Man you guys are great chefs it must be something to be able to eat your restaurant
Thanks Jerry! We have retired from the restaurant business!
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking hopefully you could recommend a good restaurant down there that you think would be a place where you would like to eat
Yes, there is a restaurant in Addison Texas called lefties. Great seafood. And friends of ours.
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking okay thank you but I have to wonder can they cook good Italian food like you guys
Thanks for sharing. Do you have a skillet lasagna you could share?
Hi Richard! Yes, we do, here's the link ruclips.net/video/mLRSRZUdqDI/видео.html . Super easy to prepare.
The best in the biz ! Tell the truth , they kicked you guys out of Brooklyn for cooking better than everybody! Fuggeddabbbaaa it ! 🇮🇹
Ahem, you haven't met me yet 😉😁
LOL! Thanks Josh!
I use Barilla oven ready lasagna noodles. Tastes like fresh pasta eliminating a step
We’ll need to try that. We are just creatures of old habits.
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking I also use Jimmy’s sausage instead of beef, the best!
Terrific...you guys are the best! Question...What should a "texas portion" of lasagna (like yours)sell for in a restaurant?
Thanks Armando! Individual portions would range between $12 and $16. The full tray to me and $120 and $150 the tray fees about 20 people.
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking thank you so much!
👌
Great job on the channel, boys! It's blowing up! Thinking of heading to Jimmy's and making a lasagna this weekend. How do you feel about this as opposed to a Bolognese sauce lasagna?
Thank you! Did you mean the sausage at Jimmy’s? If so, that works well also.
Hi Paul and Jerilee! Hope you guys are doing well. Just watched and subscribed to The Brook,NYPD Brothers. Fantastic,! I learned a lot about cooking lasagne. So.much fun. I’m making it tonight! was thinking the lady of the house would come into the room when dinner was ready. Loved the entire video and learned a lot. Love you guys. How can we support ?
Hi Sue! All is well. How about with you? Glad you enjoyed the video. Spread the word!
Thank you so much for watching
Hi Papa P,
Can you tell us the story as to how you met Daddy Jack.
Thank you
Sure, I will tell the story during the next filming. We already have two videos in the queue, but after that we will. Great idea!
A labor of love but soooooo worth it! Have you guys ever tried the Barilla no boil lasagne, not bad! Less work too. Where's the 🍷?
Dom has. He try to get me to use that tight, but I hate change.
type *
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking you should listen to Dom, sometimes change is good 😉 all you needed with that meal was a little vino my friend, everything looked perfect! You guys are great!
Lol! Dry pasta is shit. Just make your own. Eggs and flour. That’s it. Super easy to make.
I just saw on the bottom then noodles, then meat and cheese then more sauce then I do the noodles in the opposite direction meat cheese sauce, noodles again in the original direction and continue until I'm all done. I think it makes the lasagna sturdier I end with noodles on top covered in sauce and then put Parmesan cheese on top of that.
👍
😢NO GARLIC IN THE LASAGÑA,FELLAS.🤷,,❤GARLIC IN EVERYTHING..😂..LOVE THOSE RECIPES.💪🔥
We put garlic in the sauce
@@dominicksimonetti6726 🤔,OKA GREAT,😊👍,I PUT IT IN EVERYTHING,❤️,THOSE RECIPES.💪🔥..MISS BROOKLYN.🥲☝️
Hey guys you know of a pizza recipe for a seafood pizza that has calamari , shrimp , and clams all on the same pie? I used get a pie of this sort from a pizzeria called the Pizza & Brew in Hartsdale, N.Y. it was rocking! I love seafood on my pizza.
You will love this one! Our Clams Casino Pizza Bianco Recipe

@@BrooklynBrothersCooking great stuff! I'm definitely making both pies! Love anchovies on my pizza. You guys read my mind.
What do meen 25 people thats for just 1 person with a loft of bread perfect
Loved your presentation guys! Just wish you could have included the name of a great emergency cardiologist to see after I get my heart attack after eating my first tray full! A nice Italian red wine would also go well to flush it down the food pipe! A chilled Barolo maybe and some stinky toasted garlic bread?? Luv yooze! Caio!
😂thanks!
❤😋
Texas !? I thought you were here in Bensonhurst. Must be the witness protection program 😎
Lmao
Liuzzi cheese is my cousins place in north haven ct
That’s great! Excellent products!
Boys, I have a question. I wonder if you have ever used the uncooked lasagna noodles in your lasagna. I’ve never tried it before and always cook my noodles but some people rave about the uncooked ones. I love how you guys cook so wanted your opinion. Thank you!
Thank you, but we have never use dried noodles. I hear it’s pretty good also.
Had no idea about putting in EGGS! (I've only attempted a lasagna twice in my life soo..) Question: The Bay leaves- do you Leave these in or take them out before putting the dish together- or do they cook down?
Hi Tammy- Need to remove the leaves. Good question though.
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking yes it had me stumped! I am not familiar with using all these herbs, etc and didnt know if the leaves would simply melt down or someone would get a big leafy bite! haha! Thanks for your reply!
Eggs are a binder to keep the ricotta from breaking up. Some cheap Diners are using cottage cheese, which I think is nasty in lasagna, so is cheddar cheese on top. Yuck!
Umm ummmm looks delicious. Where do you guys live? Lol. Just a question .. one onion to three pounds of ground beef? Have you ever used more? I lived in the French speaking region of Switzerland for ten years. We did a béchamel sauce instead of ricotta… it is very good that way too. Ever hear of that method? Thanks for a great video.
We live in Texas now. That will be our next lasagna recipe.
Can you prep this lasagna the day before your party and put it in the fridge? Then only bake it the day of?
Absolutely, but remove the lasagna from the refrigerator one hour before you’re ready to cook it.
Good job on draining the beef. So many people don't. Ugh! Ex: Chili
Hey guys. What lasagna sheets would you recommend?
My fav is the original!
Any frozen sheets work well. We also use the dry ones, but boil have the cook time.
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Appreciate it. Have a great weekend even with all this rain.
You said to cook the lasagna for One Hour and 45 minutes. If I'm making HALF the lasagna that you are making (feeding 12 people instead of 25), is the cooking time less or is it still One Hour and 45 minutes of cooking?
p.s. LOVE YOU GUYS
Hi Patricia! Cooking time would be about an hour. Merry Christmas!
THANK YOU for the quick response.
Btw, I made your tomato sauce the other day and it came out EXCELLENT. You guys are now my "go to" when it comes to Italian cooking.
Merry Christmas @@BrooklynBrothersCooking
