I feel like I've found my weather soul sister. Now I will admit that I don't like snow when we have to drive as we live in the Twin Cities of MN but we too have beautiful falls and winters. I love when it starts to get dark earlier. I love the smell of a fire and I tell my husband all the time that I want to be cozy. You describe it all so perfectly that I'm making him watch this. Thanks for what you do and for bringing peace to my anxiety disorder and PTSD. You have a gift. Have a lovely Fall.
I'm in Svalbard now. It is really beautiful and (as I love cold weather too) I'm so glad I chose to come in September. On another note, I met Grim at the suppermarket. He kissed my face and tackled me to the ground (more like I lost my balance). He's such a cutie pie! Yaaay, Grim! Celebrities of Svalbard. 🐶🥰
Celia … I was born in northern Canada but moved away for work many years ago. Last year I decided to move back home - my aging parents needed my help. Everyone who knew me said… omg.. you’re crazy… the winters ! They are so long cold and dark… but I grew up going to school in the dark and coming home in the dark and when it’s all you knew… it was just normal 😊. I was worried though I wouldn’t be able to return and re adjust to this northern world but I have and I absolutely love it. ❤ You played a large part in reminding me of it calm, quiet ,natural beauty… I’m shocked by how much I missed it while away. The smells the seasonal shift the dark cozy of the blue purple winter nights while siting in the warmth of the house with a coffee and a book. Thank you sweet Celia for helping me to know I wasn’t crazy to want to be here… the north is magical and it’s deep in my bones. I LOVE your channel 🙏🫶thank you for all that you do, - fantastic work x Joan 😊
One thing I noticed when I visite Svalbard in 2018 is how welcoming everyone was. I'm Dutch and have visited many parts of Scandinavia. My country and the Nothern ones kind of have a reputation of not being the friendliest, with people keeping to themselves a lot. That wasn't the case at all on Svalbard. I couldnt go anywhere without people asking me about myself and if I wanted to join them for activities. It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
"as the weather gets colder, I just get happier" is so true! as much as summer is nice and fun, there is something just so cozy and soothing about the cool breeze and colder weather!
😮Greetings from Oklahoma! Our cold weather has just now arrived and it was something I so anticipated with delight and joy. Nothing could quite match yours for your love of Svalgard though.. I just love you and your cozy little family
What a wonderful edition! Your enthusiasm is contagious. And Christoffer looked so cute when he asked if we wanted to join him for a raspberry crumble party! I was shouting, “I do! I do!” 😊
Christoffer's Raspberry Crumble - you would not have made a joke like that a year ago! So happy to see you more comfortable in front of the camera! Poor Grim still has issues with your floor and needs a lot of encouragement to make it into the house! What a lovely time of year for you - it's so cozy and filled with Christoffer's baked goods.
I think it is good that Grim doesn't like the kitchen floor as it keeps him from getting under their feet when in there preparing meals, animals & small children should not enter the kitchen unless they are cooking or washing the dishes. 🤣
Ahhhh….. I love watching your videos. I live in Texas and a barista that worked at my local coffee shop has family in Norway. I mentioned that I watch videos created by a person that lives in Longyearbyen. He said, “oh. Cecelia!” 🙂 I was so surprised! He has even been there too! Wow! You are known in Texas! 😊
So i laughed hysterically when I saw that Grimm didn't want to walk on the floor! 🤣 I'm glad there are some people that get energized by the cold. I am NOT one of those people. God Bless You. 🙏🏿
Anyone else watch every video twice. So magical. You do a brilliant job showing the world Svalbard, Cecilia. Your raspberry pie looks delicious Kristoffer!!
New subscriber from Florida, USA! So glad youtube recommended this channel. I am in LOVE with your content and have been binge watching for days!! Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderfully beautiful life with the rest of the world. You are such a sweet soul and GRIM, oh i just love him! ❤️
Cecilia your blog this morning was pure poetry with this landscape video. It really makes me connect with your part of the world. Watching you and Christopher and your little doggie Grimm really brings me peace and happiness. I'm having my coffee and I have my kitty in my lap while I'm watching your video and it doesn't get any better than that! Thank you for your videos and your humor and for just being you.
So funny how differently the seasons affect different people. Winter is just draining for me, my energy is so low and I have to struggle all the time to get everything done. I love the peeks at Svalbard but I really would never be able to live there during winter. But a very valuable thing I've learned from you, Cecilia, is to accept winter as an integral part of the cycle, and to take it as an opportunity to create coziness and rest. It's not always possible because society kind of expects everyone to perform at the same level during all seasons (what a dumb idea), but giving myself permission to be tired and need more rest during winter has taken some of the sting out of it. So thank you for that. :) autumn is really underway here as well, thank god not as cold yet as where you are, but I am trying to appreciate the nice things about this season; the colours, the produce, the cozy clothes, the movie nights! Excited to be inspired again this year by your love of polar night and winter. :)
This seems like the perfect season there. You can still fish, the stars twinkle, and the snow is beginning. Thank you for my cozy Sunday video sharing your life while I drink my coffee.
It makes my heart soar when I see how joyful you are every day about the weather no matter what it is. It proves how honestly content you are with where you are with your life. Literally and figuratively! Thanks for sharing your joy! 💜💜💜
Hi Cecilia. My least favorite season is winter and snow. I often feel unmotivated and depressed. Eager for spring and summer. But your love of snow and cooler seasons brings me joy and I try to reflect on that when I am struggling through the cold months. Love your posts.
I from england and its known for being grey and rainy, which is mostly true. Im surrounded by brits who moan constantly about the cold and rain but I thrive in it. I love autumn and winter and always thought i was abnormal for not liking summer. But after watching this and reading your comments, i realise there are lots of people like me which is nice.
Thanks for showing your audience a corner of the world most of us may never get the opportunity to visit. Its breathtakingly beautiful & you have a gift for bringing it to life. I know for me it provides a welcome respite from the demands of life. I've dreamed of traveling all my life, so I am ever grateful for a peek into another world far from my own. I hope you know that you bring a lot of joy & calm to the masses out here. And you manage to stay a genuinely likable & down-to-earth individual in the meantime. I enjoy your older videos (which I'm still catching up on) as much as the new. I hope you can continue this glorious ride with us as long as its feasible/enjoyable for you, Christoffer, & a little-crazy-but-loving-&-cute Grim. :) His energy is impressive. lol.
As an Aussie, I live vicariously through you and your cold season. I live for the cold. I’m surrounded by sun chasers and I dont get it. When you said you are thriving, I can completely understand that feeling. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing. ❤
As a Canadian who experiences both every year…. It’s so refreshing to have the seasons change and I love it However, you don’t know how much you miss/need the sun until you hardly have it for 4+ months Nothing worse than being absolutely freezing cold to the bone from -50 degree temperatures and 80km/h winds😅
21:50 My boxer loves fishing too. She goes nuts every single time she see a bobber move, and especially when we start reeling something in. She’s SO attentive!
Oh Cecilia, you are like a child in a toy store in every video! Your joy is infectious! I share your love of fall/winter! I could feel it through the screen! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! ❄️🏔️🌟✨💫💖
Glad to know I'm not the only one who likes colder weather! The summers here in Canada just seem to get hotter and hotter and the sky is filled with smoke from forrest fires so I find myself looking forward to fall and winter. There" just something about coming in from the cold and warming up with a nice cup of hot chocolate! Love your blog and the joy you radiate!
Cecelia, your work is absolutely incredible. With your keen eye for filmmaking and your incredible personality, you literally could have your own TV show here in the USA. It would be award winning! Sending love from Mississippi in the US. ❤
I love this, I live in Connecticut, USA and am fortunate to get all 4 seasons, but I LOVE Fall and Winter- its my time to go within, prepare for a certain amount of stillness.. I love it too!
The snow is absolutely beautiful. Feels weird watching it be cold and snowy for you whilst it's warming up here in Australia lol. But as always enjoyed my weekly dose of Cecilia, Christoffer and Grim. Thanks for sharing ❤
The view of the cabin from outside at sunset is so pretty and cozy. I loved watching Grim just loving life on the boat, he probably gets so many smells as you move along it makes him crazy! The cod was impressive, so is the amount you get from 2 fish, can't wait to see some creative dishes from Chef Christoffer. I will be taking notes. 👨🍳
The raspberry crumble looked delicious and it looked like everyone had a good time fishing. Enjoy your fall, it is my favorite season too, second only to winter.
I love that phrase! "Your soul season" Fall is my soul season. Everyday I wake up with joy in my heart. The Air gets crisp, the colors get beautiful, its magical. Once it is really cool I feel cozy and love being comfortable around a bonfire. Every thing is just better in the fall!
I’m from Alberta Canada, we have snow on the mountains yesterday. Winter usually makes me super depressed but your attitude about winter and polar night makes me feel more positive about it.
I live in Leadville Colorado, at 10,200 feet elevation--- We are right at Tundra Line in the Rockies.... I really enjoy these delightful video's--- and especially how similar the setting are here to life in Svalbard--- and we have just had our first snows too. "l'hiver, elle arrive bientôt !"..... ''winter, she comes soon !'' :)
Like most RUclipsrs we stumbled across you and are glad we did! You're an endearing personality and along with the absolute stark beauty of where you live We are drawn to each of your episodes!🎉❤
I'm in Luleå Sweden and I got so excited when I saw stars again as we began to get some darkeness at night. I made my husband take a longer walk so we could admire them and he saw his first shooting star. We also experienced the first auroras a week or so ago, my first time seeing them! The night sky at this time of year is pure magic!
Considering how much time you must spend scraping your windshield, I feel like a windshield cover could change your life. When you get back home, just pop it on and close the windows around the side flaps to secure it, and when you want to go anywhere, just take it off and you have a clean, ice-free windshield. The Svalbard winds might make this a non-option but sharing just in case. LOVE your videos by the way, thanks for sharing your life in such an amazing place.
I live in northern Montana (USA) and all four of my grandparents immigrated here from Norway so I am very much enjoying your channel. We are having a warm fall with a prediction of October 22 for our first frost. I was just checking today to see if I should tear up my cucumber plants or not, as I don't see any more blossoms but the experts say they will produce until they die from frost. Normally we get a frost sometime in September. I have to say I am quite envious of the fresh fish you are storing away for winter meals. Thank you for your video.
I totally understand how it takes a couple days to get used to the cold again! I’m DEFINITELY a fall/winter girly, and the cold weather makes me come ALIVE. A couple weeks ago it was 100+ degrees F here in the mountains of Idaho, and now in the mornings it’s in the low 40s F with highs in the 60s. The cold in the mornings is taking a few days to get used to, but I’m so excited for the cold weather!
Fantastic video! The snow and the stars are really a taste of the winter season in these latitudes and this magical event undoubtedly brings a lot of joy. Then Grim, whose happiness is just amazing, is always so cute. Thanks a lot.
I have been binge watching your videos! I adore Svalbard, what a magical place! I love fall and winter, the cosying up with candles and a fire burning in the fireplace is so relaxing! I live in Finland, in Rauma. It's a small town on the west coast, a little more north than Gävle is. We rarely have "real" winter here, it's mostly wet and windy. And very dark if there's no snow! The polar bears is the only reason I will probably never visit Svalbard, but I'm so glad to be able to follow your life there! Have a great 'polar night'! Thank You so much for the wonderful videos! Kiss Grim for me!😘 Tiina
Watching Cecilia is my seasonal ritual now. I hate the end of summer but her excitement for winter and beauty of Svalbard has helped me change how I think about the colder months. Thank you girl
I wish I was more of a winter girl but… I’m a warm/hot weather gal. I love days with lots of sun and the wonderful humid heat in Georgia and Florida. I like the days to be in the 80s and 90s(F). When I was growing up we didn’t have air conditioning so on the really hot days we would spend them in the creek near our home and I miss those days so much!
I’m not nearly as far north as you are, but within the past week it’s started getting cooler, the nights crisper, and you can feel that fall has begun. Colors are starting to change on trees. It’s my favorite time! I love cozy sweaters and the spices used in autumn drinks and dishes, and overcast rainy weather. And we’re likely less than a month away from our first little bits of snowfall here, so it makes me happy! ❤ ❄️ I’m the same as you: the cold weather makes me feel more alive! I feel so demotivated in the summer when it’s hot lol
Just getting a bit cool here and rainy . Your cozy home makes me look forward to the cold . We pray for snow here in tbe US . Im in Lancaster, PA . Global Warming has impacted our climate. Snow is now an occasional thing. 50 years ago it was a frequent thing . Seeing such an impact in a lifetime should make every senior , worldwide an agent for a green lifestyle . Our grandkids need a planet on which they can survive. Watching the glaicers melt is something thst should concern us all . Its natures not so early warning system .
I’m with you Cecilia! Fall is my soul season for sure. The cooler weather (though here in Northern Michigan we have just had several 80 degree F days- 26.6 C) and the light changes make me feel settled. I am not a summer person either.
This video is magic with its colours and sound and your joy and grim's excitement on the boat. Yummi rasberry crumble and cosy livingroom. I love the view to the sea out of your kitchen. Love from Italy where we still enjoy a swim in the lake.❤
I absolutely love you're being giddy. It is palpable! You are amazing at conveying the joy and love of the season. I thank you for bringing me along! I can't wait to see what's to come. ❤
A girl after my own ❤. Fall and cooler temps have finally arrived to the center of Washington state. The endless summer sun and heat 90°-100° is finally gone. My Labradoodles are awaiting the arrival of winter and ❄️ and cold weather.
Hi just came across your channel today and I love it ,I binged watch your videos today it's so interesting to see how you all live I'd love to live there I live in Ireland so it's rare we see snow mostly we get rain your house is so beautiful and cozy I can't wait to see your next video ❤❤
That was beautiful! Nice cod fish too, HUGE! :) Fall is my favorite season to here in the Pacific Northwest. I can see amazing sunrises coming over Mount Rainer this time of year. The rainy season has started, and the smell of the air while it's raining literally makes me smile. Love your videos, thanks for making me smile. :)
we had a pooch not liking our floor !! He slipped all over the wood which is why he hated it !! we just had little pads dotted around for him to walk on . He was so much happier xx
Thank you Cecilia for posting about your interesting life living in beautiful Svalbard. I recently started watching your videos and have learned so much about this beautiful place and surrounding areas. So glad your favorite season is here! ❤️
I felt chilly and cozy at the same time! I’d love to visit. I live in PA and shiver here in winter…. But I bet the shivering there is more beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I can believe that the skies look even more sharp and lovely there at night
The way you perceive winter is motivating. I am preparing mentally for the winter coming, I admit is not my favorite season, but your videos surely get me in mood for the colder months The effort and energy you put in your videos are clearly reflected in your art. Thank you
Fall has always been my favorite season.Watching this beautiful video,I think it would absolutely be my favorite season on Svalbard. This Is just stunning!Thank you so very much for all you share!Blessings to you ,Christopher and Grimm!
Hah. Its 21C here during the day and I am loving the fact we have warm days but crisp nights. Summer is too hot for me but spring and a nice autumn is just fantastic. Not when it rains and storms.. But those sunny days are amazing. I don’t think I could live in a cold climate like yours but even cold days are wonderfull when the weather is sunny and crisp like that. Your golden hour light is amazing.
I get it! My fave seasons are fall and winter, so you know how excited I was when it was 54° this morning (in Roswell, GA) while I enjoyed my coffee and cuddled with our 2 dogs. I 💙 the cool Svalbard vibe, the pristine glaciers and eerie moodness, your gorgeous, hygge cabin, your coffee obsession (I GET it!), and the Magnificent Grim most of all! Here's to many star-filled polar nights to you all! 🍷🌠🌌

hahah I looooove it!! 😍
You are so lucky to have met atleast one celebrity of Svalbard.
It made my day! He's such a cutie and he kissed me (okay, so I gave him a dog treat so that's probably why he kissed me 😂).
Fell flat on my ass. He was like, 🐶. Christopher helped me up. I told him I was going to sue him and Grim for the attack. 😂

I couldn’t agree more! I love Sunday mornings!
I call it my Swalbard church service!!
I too can’t start my day without Cecilia if it’s not Sunday I watch a rereun
Right??!! And I LOVE the way she never gets tired of it! Never takes it for granted! Nice!!
"This is, without a doubt, my soul season." Yes. All the yes. I *love* the cold.
That crunch of icy snow is divine.
It made me so excited for fall snow even though we are still a couple months out from that.
Totally agree!

I was thinking the same thing. You add to it Cecilia’s coloring, along with her fall jacket & fingernail color & it is perfection! 😊
I feel you Cecilia 🙌 🫶
Autumn is also my favourite season for a lot of the same reasons. ❤ ❤ ❤
Cecilia, your joy and love for life is so infectious! You inspire me to find happiness in the small things in life.
Svalbard is an artists dream, oh to paint these lovely scenes and all the colors and shades, breath taking beauty!
Why does handsome Grim have to be so far away where I can't hug him? He's such a sweetheart 😊
This channel is extremely cozy.
Your place is so beautiful! The surrounding is just *chef's kiss*. I love watching your videos while working- it calms me down.
Not loving snow in September. Glad to know someone loves it.
Me too I love autumn & winter. I love the cosy nights and cold temperatures
Yah!!! We're baking with Christopher!!
That fishing would be right up my alley..We love fishing and I like Cod, Haddock, Perch.. Winter is coming soon for us in the US..
Happy Snow ❄️ Cecilia, Cristoffer & Grim! Love you guys!🙏🏼🤍🩷
A girl after my own ❤. Fall and cooler temps have finally arrived to the center of Washington state. The endless summer sun and heat 90°-100° is finally gone. My Labradoodles are awaiting the arrival of winter and ❄️ and cold weather.
It is absolutely beautiful!😍 I understand why you use the words “beautiful “ and “amazing” because it’s truly is!🧡💙
It's nice that your neighbors aren't too close and you don't have to worry about gardening or maintaining your yard.
Beautiful sunsets, socks, pie and Grim. Happy Autumn Equinox! I feel happiest when the crows and crispier cool temps herald Autumn, as well. 💖
Cecilia it’s crazy but our dog Tully is obsessed with watching your videos and Grim. I’ve never known a dog to watch tv so intently 😂
I love that! 😂
Christoffer when he smiles making Raspberry Pie!
Thank you Cecilia for posting about your interesting life living in beautiful Svalbard. I recently started watching your videos and have learned so much about this beautiful place and surrounding areas. So glad your favorite season is here! ❤️
We don't get snow very often where I live, but I always love how quiet it is and how much softer ambient sounds are when it snows
Those are some incredible sunsets over the water and the twilight in the late late evening was stunning ❤
I felt chilly and cozy at the same time! I’d love to visit. I live in PA and shiver here in winter…. But I bet the shivering there is more beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I can believe that the skies look even more sharp and lovely there at night
Thank you for sharing this magical day and night with us. The reindeer were an extra special sight.
The way you perceive winter is motivating. I am preparing mentally for the winter coming, I admit is not my favorite season, but your videos surely get me in mood for the colder months
The effort and energy you put in your videos are clearly reflected in your art. Thank you
Your videos are always one of the best parts of a Sunday ❤
Wow, you're the best! 😍
Absolutely devine atmosphere and place. And what is more important of all is your happiness to be where you are.
Wintery days are my fave, too! I feel most alive in cold weather.
