I'm amazed they made him look intimidating in the cutscene, because in-game outside of the fight he's the most tame monster I've seen and only seems to have one individual brain cell.
This actually does change the dynamic of the fight significantly, tobe used to blindside you by jumping around and getting at odd angles but viper tobe is far more aggreasive and has a lot of frontal attacks that chain together. Even changing stun to para chanes it cause now you have to wirry about the fairly quick bite instead of just its normal attacks. So instead of a defending against everything when enraged, you have to watch out for its bite while play even more aggressively.
I use glaive and its feels like the dance of death. Most monsters just charge you but this guy moves around like crazy all the while firing poison darts
Lmao better have a good party for this one. Beroduas I needed a part with. That moose dude I solo'd on the expedition part (died 8 times tho. Also shout out to fish legs doing 3589 fucking damage because turf war). Hell even when anajak vs tobi, anajak fucked kadachi's shit up. Giving him 1624 damage.
@@redo_oty7173 Just happened to me. Broke every single limb he had, got the notification he was heading out. Died to him twice, one time nearly instant with a tail swipe to the back while paralyzed. Pretty frustrating.

Building against his ailments is so damn important. I used MR Pukei armour to get poison immunity and it made for a pretty easy fight, even considering that I forgot to put decos on and couldn't leave the expedition to do so.

I think what everyone has to think is that ICEBORNE isn't a start from ground zero. You are expected to be Ground 50 already having defeated Lunastra, Teostra, Vaal, Nerg and Xeno and therefore CONTINUE your journey with Iceborne where even TOUGHER monsters are. Keep that mindset in mind and keep striving!! ☺️😉 This isn't Monster Number 3. It's number 30 plus already if you included the tempered types. :D so it's gonna pack a punch definitely
Watching you play... I beat it before, thought the game is just plain unfair. I used the Switch-axe which is quite slower then the Longsword. That Viper Tobi-Kadachi loves its counters and it has very a very short lead to the other attacks too. You roll to try and attack again, but it counters right away without any chance to dodge it. Yeah I keep hear "everything is rollable"... but only if you concentrate on that and not try to attack instead! lol. I feel like, that Viper Tobi-Kadachi is probably easier with a ranged weapon, or a melee with a shield.
Everyone I fought him twice, first time I didnt eat for expedition so I bailed. Came back and almost maxed out the timer, slayed with less than 5min remaining. Now, I use kinsect so these small type creatures are my weakness. However, I did learn the key. PRESS ON HIS ASSSSS! Pay close attention to this characters position and tobis position. There is a pocket next to his front legs where you want to be for attacks. His tail swings too wide and he has to reposition to bite you. When you play defensive you are playing to his advantage because of his speed and reach and his ailments will slaughter you.
I was lucky enough to have my Palico with flash traps and I kept sending the knockout bug from my glaive. Soon as he got knocked down I'd whale on him but now and then he got lucky and that tail would hurt. I'd frantically be looking for a spot for antidote and heals. There really wasn't much cover where I first fought him. I thought he would be easy too and was thinking. Do I need better equipment to deal with this fella? Nah. I'll be fine. (A few moments later and poisoned.) Yep... This is fine. Heh.
This boss was pretty easy for me but i have to say i have had the dlc for 2 days now and only have managed to get to fighting the tigrex which is odagaron on drugs.
And people back in the old days said that Yian Garuga is annoying with the poison. But this guy is in my opinion far worse. Out of all the Monsters I faced untill now in Iceborne, this guy is my least favourite.
Haven't met him yet. Just finished Sven (on steroids for iceborne) but as long as the thing is NOT an elder dragon species you can capture it. Bring tranq bombs with you. Lots of them and spare shock and pitfall traps
I just recently got Iceborne. Saw Kadachi and thought “pshh you again?!” And then ended up thinking “please... stop using your tail...”
Izzy me too
Izzy, I went through the exact same thing. I greatly underestimated it.

That change in the eye is probably one of my favorite cutscene moments. That plus the stance makes it look so dangerous.
