    Update: I ended up sending this back to ewheels, so they could add the spacers behind the bearings.
    Great company to buy from.

      According to all the Kingsong user manuals I've read, nobody over 50 should be riding its EUCs. I mean, if Kingsong's EUCs turn to crap for anyone > 50 then, as a 58 year old, I do not want one of those.

    My Lynx made that noise also, I just kept riding it and it's gone. Haven't heard it again in over 300 miles. Crunchy power button went away also.

    Hey Jerry, this is Gary from OKC. Not sure how your fix is supposed to work. Is the bearing sliding on the axle shaft on the right hand side? Are you securing the bearing by affixing it to the outer hub cover using Loctite? Loctite in lieu of spacers? Very interested in this fix. Thanks for posting.

    • @oueuc2
      @oueuc2  9 месяцев назад +2

      Turned out it wasn't sliding on the shaft. It was spinning in the hub instead. This will turn a slip fit into a press fit for the sleeve.
      Another way is to make a spacer to go in the hub between it and the outer race of the bearing to take up any slack.

    Well I bet e-wheels ended up putting a new hub and bearing after that locktite job.

    Did you get the knocking only while riding or did it happen if you spun the wheel by hand too?
    I currently have a knocking while riding only.

    • @oueuc2
      @oueuc2  7 месяцев назад +1

      Only while riding. Mainly on turns, and breaking.
      I could get a faint hint of it pushing it across the floor.
      I could also feel it in my feet.

    Hey Jerry loving the videos man! I’ve been patiently waiting for your Lynx update as I’ve been having the exact same problem also:( Have they been able to confirm exactly what the issue is 100%? I was almost wondering if it’s possibly the fender jostling about maybe? Idk..Anyways hope you get it back soon!

      They've added a spacer on the shaft before pressing on the bearing to take up the slack.

  • @liamventer
    @liamventer 9 месяцев назад +2

    Nice work but very dissappinting you had to fix this using Permatex Bearing Retaining Compund. The bearing should be a press fit into the wheel cover and onto the axle shaft.
    But a better option than making up a thin aluminum shim spacer, they almost never work..as they work loose over time and make it very hard to press the bearing in place without buggering up the shim.

    • @oueuc2
      @oueuc2  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah, I realized later that I should've done it to both sides while I had the wheel apart too.
      I'm going to leave it be, unless it starts making noise again.
      Thanks!
