Us Zelda fans have been spoiled throughout the Switch’s lifespan. The only thing we need (other than Echoes of Wisdom) are ports of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and then Zelda fans are satisfied for the next few years.
I think 3D Mario's Switch 2's launch game, because it's been such a long time since Odyssey and it would be a great way to show what Switch 2 can do, as well as a great anniversary game and event since 2025 is Mario's 40th anniversary and a great new 3D Mario game would be a fantastic way to honor that too. I could be wrong, but 3D Mario just makes the most sense as the main launch game to me.
Japan doesn’t give a crap about MP4. You people keep thinking about yourselves. Prime 4 will not be a launch game. It doesn’t have worldwide appeal, let alone appeal in Nintendo’s own country.
MP4 is a Switch exclusive and with backwards compatibility, it will be playable on Switch 2. There WILL NOT be a Switch 2 version of Prime 4. I bet my life on it. There is ZERO logic to that.
As far as i can tell, it's definitely a Switch title. If it's playable on Switch 2 via backwards compatibility, a patch, or a native version, is the real question.
Day 1 3D Mario = more early Switch 2 console sales Day 1 Metroid Prime 4 = more Metroid sales Day 1 Mario Kart = more controller and accessory sales Day 1 Pokemon = more sales on Switch 1, because we can't trust them to make something that looks good and runs well on a new system. In my opinion it depends on if they want to boost the early hardware sales, or if they want to boost the Metroid IP. Personally, I think the health of a strong IP like Metroid is more valuable in the long term. Not to mention they have to find a way to justify all the money they spent to reboot it... But I can understand them taking a different route as well.
This should be the schedule of switch 2 March: Open world Mario game April: Nintendo Switch Sports Resort May: New Mario Sluggers June: Metroid Prime 4 July: Pokemon Legends Z-A August: Super Mario Bros 40 (Sequel to super Mario bros 35 in super Mario bros 3 style) October: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 4K November: Mario Kart X
I think a Switch 2 version of Prime 4 would outsell a Switch 1 version, despite the latter having a much larger install base. The MP fanbase is a much less "casual" group, and many of us have been ready to move on to Switch 2 for a couple years now. If Nintendo wants to expand Metroid's reach as a franchise, they should definitely launch it with the Switch. Of course there should also be other games coming as well. I think a new Mario Kart is a smart choice, with 3D Mario being the #2 option. They could also release that 4k/60 version of BotW they were apparently showing off behind closed doors, though I don't think that would be a cornerstone title (as that's probably not enough to get people hyped to buy a whole new console). I think Mario Kart + new gimmick game (like Wii Sports/Nintendo Land/1-2 Switch) + Metroid Prime 4 would be a great 1st party lineup.
I can totally see Nintendo having Prime 1 and Prime 4 available for purchase before 2 and 3 are even announced, it’s such a Nintendo move, look at how the Luigi’s Mansion series have released on Switch.
i think i have an idea what the next mario kart could have: the 2 person karts and having motorcycles and other vehicles i suggest this becouse it could be fun to have one driver and a person who uses the items and of course the driver should be able to hold more items for the support person to use shortly after
Metroid Prime 4 and Mario OpenWorld as Launch Titles. Mario Kart 6 months later. Mario will be the surprise title when showing off Switch 2, since they had ample of time and after Odyssey and experimented with the openworld in the dlc of 3D world. They had the Mario Wonder, but it has to be 2 separate teams for the 3d and 2d mario games, since those are too close in releases to be made by the same time. Mario Kart will be teased but they had to have a small team of the developers to do the dlc, meaning half the team of mario kart was working for that.
I Bet Nintendo will announced Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe Edition for all Nintendo Switch Family Systems including the Nintendo Switch 2 Console as well !!!!!
The rumored Twilight Princess and Wind Waker remakes/remasters could end up being straight remakes with modern tech for Switch 2. I always thought that those could end up on the new hardware so that more can be done with them in the development side. And the rumors have repeatedly emerged around new rumors for Switch 2 or Switch Pro.
I think it will launch with a new Nintendo ip because they already know the Switch will carry itself with backwards compatibility. Think about the long term gain from a brand new ip.
It doesn't have to be mario or zelda as an exclusive luanch title it could be a new 3d donkey kong or new 2d dkc and have other following it but I can tell you mario kart wouldn't be a system seller unless it launched with more tracks then the current one has or atleast have 40 orginal maps because I'm pretty well set on mario kart I like 8 because it has the most tracks
And if Nintendo works a deal out with Microsoft to bring Game Pass to the news switch, it’s game over for Sony. I actually think they should partner with Microsoft and bring some Nintendo games to the Xbox ecosystem. I would love to see a full size console like the series X and S play some Nintendo gameS
March: 3D Mario April: prime 2 and 3 hd May: prime 4 June: Xenoblade X July: ocarina of time remaster August: Kirby triple deluxe hd September: Yoshi’s wooly world October: new 2D donkey Kong November: GameCube and Wii online December: Mario kart 9
Metroid is not a console seller. I mean, probably metroid prime 4 will be a lauch cross-gen tittle but that alone would not be able to carry the launch of the console. So it will be for day 1: -A new 3D mario game -Metroid Prime 4 - A new casual game that will use the new features of the console ( like 1-2 switch) For the "first season" we will going to have the remake of OoT, Splatoon 4 and probably a new Mario Kart. Also my hopes ( not too sure) is a third fighter pass for smash bros ultimate but exclusive for the next console and monster hunter wilds. Pokemon Legends A-Z will be ca switch game that would be playable on switch 2 because backward compatibility.
I personally think you are putting too much stock in a March release. I think Switch 2 will come out in May. If this is the case, your whole argument for why Metroid would be disqualified breaks down. I think making Metroid the launch title makes financial sense, because it encourages more people to pick it up. Metroid historically sells around 3 Million units, but putting it out as a mature first person shooter, single person adventure will get more eyes on the game and help offset the fact that it had to restart development
@@undergroundhiphopfan6335 well I guess I am miss remembering the launch date. I am still predicting a May release for next year regardless of my bad memory

Mario Kart feels like they can't do any more with it... only geeks care about Metroid... that leaves Star Fox and F-Zero. Fururisting driving, and futuristing combat flying,. Nintendo could easily botch this launch for adult gamers, I would love them to get rid of thier 'childish games' stigma.
