@ All who reads this: :/ Hummp, I was thinking... and well, I posted this because I really want to OBLITERATE the Sinnoh Gyms with my shiny Hydreigon... and Hilda, I want to turn upside down Morty's gym with my Lilligant... and Hilda, I want to ripp off the levers in Lt. I want to step into that Kanto Victory Road, then Own the league with Hilda, I want to stand in that same Kanto Victory Road but named as "Jhoto Victory Road" and destroy that Kanto League with the name of Jhoto league with Hilda, I want to boil the ocean arround Hoenn with my Typhlosion, I want to climb that waterfall and dwelve in the most confusing Victory road i've seen and DESTROY that Sinnoh league with Hilda. (P.S. Hilda is my favorite character if you havent noticed, she is No. 1, while all the Guys are No. 2) I just want to be epic using her as the avatar
if the protagonist from d/p/pl is fighting team galactic at the same time the protagonist from g/s/c/hg/ss is fighting red, then that may mean the weird sky effect that occurred whilst dialga or palkia was trying to destroy the world would be there during Ethan and Red's battle, making a truly amazing looking battle, i'd pay to see that.
That would be sick if they create an event where they'll need every single past trainer to join forced and fight an evil that would destroy the whole pokemon universe.
That would be sick! But There's already an organization that planned to destroy the whole pokemon universe and recreate a new one and that is team galactic.
I need all the main characters to create a league of their own....Ultimate and Final Pokemon Game..Eternal Rainbow...ALL REGIONS! ALL POKEMON! Customizable Character! DEX NAV! *ONLINE!*.....to take them all down...and finally RED...and his MEGA MEWTWO...hell it will probably be shiny too.
FALSE!!! Because the game would need the player to be able to catch all the legendary pokemon, it is very unlikely that red would have a mewtwo. But, he would have all of his other regular pokemon, with the ultimate finale being a level 100 mega evolved charizard!!!
Emerald was actually my favorite game. I beat it 3 times and completed the Pokedex. No other game has compelled me to do so, but Pokemon Y seems to be really great right now.
+Aye Lmao Gen 1 and Gen 3 took place first, then three years later Gen 2 and Gen 4 happened, then some time later B&W, 2 years later B&W2 and X&Y happened. Then ORAS completely fucked the cannon and now the timeline is broken.
This was the best timeline. Every other timeline I seen was this: Kanto and Hoenn happends at the same time. Sinnoh happends within Johto. But this was indeed very detalied. I knew Jasmine was in Sinnoh, but I didn't knew that after you've defeated her and you went to get the other badges, she was in Sinnoh.
The only thing I've figured out is that x and y would have happened after or during gen 4 because of the fact that Sycamore studied Rowan's theories on evolution.
There seems to be a big connection 3 and 4 to 6th Gen, Snowbelle city, there's a girl there mentioning about another snowy city, and starts playing the music (Which I think is Snowpoint?) and there's this guy in (I forgot which city lol) starts playing the emotional theme. and last but not least there's this old lady saying about a hot spring back in her region which was near a pokemon center which is Lavaridge obviously. Then there's this mysterious man about him spouting about some new region which we yet need to know. Also I think 1-4 Gen is related since its base on Japan :)
There's also some guy on a route who talks about Ghetsis. So he must have been in Kalos. Maybe that's where he went after B2W2 (assuming that X and Y take place later)? The guy going on about a new battle facility in a faraway region is almost definitely a teaser for Gen VII.
My only question is: exactly how many years did the Unova saga take place after the Johto and Sinnoh sagas? And to add to that - what about Kalos? All we know about Unova is that the BW2 saga takes place two years after the BW1 saga. If the Hoenn games are going to be remade, would it have some connection to Kalos like Johto did with Sinnoh? And since Hoenn already had a connection to Kanto... would there be 3 connections at once in Hoenn? Wrap your head around that.
Remember back in 2000 when G/S/C came out, it was sequel to R/B/G/Y and finished the storyline as a two-parter. Even GameFreak said that G/S/C was suppose to be the last in the series but due to its success, they made more Pokemon games later on starting off with Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire...
Where would X/Y take place? If I remember correctly, Colress was in Kalos, and Team Plasma was mentioned (along with Green (Gary)) so I'm guessing after B/W2 because of Fairy type, but I'm not sure.
And Pokemon X and Y starts around the same time as Red and blue. This is why we did not get a remake when Black and white were out, and the fact that Mega Pokemon have always been around do to Red having a Charizard X in pokemon origins. This also clears up the thing with fairy type pokemon, because now we know that they have also been around since the start.
Ehh, XY can't be around the same time than Red and Blue because they mention team plasma in a Pokémon center at Luminouse city, they also mention Blue being at Kalos at some point, and let's not forget the Gracidea flower so technically XY it's around the same time than Black and White two. ;w ;
so does that mean in Gen 7 if its not set around X and Y it wont have fairy type's cuz if x and y is set around red and blue and no fairy types in gen 5 4 (ect) there might not be a fairy type or there will
Christopher McCulloch There were no steel or dark type in red and blue, but there were in Fire red and leaf green. Fairy type is not going anywhere. For it to just go away would make no since.
The timelines fit in everything but the Hoenn region imo. Hoenn and Kanto being able to trade is just a gimmick GF made, while everything else actually has ties in the story, not just being "able to trade without a time machine."
Hey just to jump in the ban wagon.... Ryte when u enter the route full of stones in Gen.6 there is a guy who talks about colress.... And a guy who mentions ghetesis... Could that mean somthing?
So basicly the regions takes place in the same timeline as... Kanto/Hoenn 3 years later... Johto/Sinnoh ?5? years later... Unova 2 years later... Unova/Kalos
So Red basically is 16 in kanto/Hoenn 19 in johto/sinnoh (make sense when i see him in the new version to be honest, he look grown up and i had tears when fighting him. ?24? Unova 26... Unova/Kalos.... Man basically red are 26 years old now, its kinda match the age of the old pokemon player who begun with Yellow and Red vers Gold are 23 the protagonist of unova are probably around 18 after the timeskip. Wish i could play adult protagonist here.
***** Actually, Red started his journey at eleven, so you're about five years off. Game Freak remain tight-lipped on the time difference between Gen IV and Gen V, but the general consensus among the fandom appears to be around five years. So he'd be about twenty-one, give or take, when he appears in Black 2 and White 2. Ethan/Kris/Lyra's age was never revealed; in fact, only Red's and Leaf's ages were ever revealed and they were both eleven at the start of their journeys.
How does OR/AS fit in the timeline? Gen 1 and Gen 2 remakes took place during Gen 3 and Gen 4 so does this one take place during Gen 6? Is OR/AS a sequel to R/S/E or is it another reboot to the series? or did GameFreak say, forget the timeline.
WindowsFan2296 after you beat the champion/main story in ORAS you unlock an extra story called "Delta Episode" a post story with Rayquaza, deoxys, and Zinna.
what would be sick is we know the b/w protagonist hasnt found n yet so maybe he travels to alola region and finds us in our journey we get to battle with him or do some stuff and then he decides to go home back to unova now that would be sick
In Pokemon X and Y on route 10 (Right above Cyllage City) a backpacker dude says that "A few years back, this really strange dude named Colress told me that these big stones emit some kind of special energy." I found it cool that they decided to talk about Colress! :D
what about the hoenn does it just end... if anything that protaganist must be the best. think about it. pokemon ahs always been about being the best. and the hoenn guy is the only one who continued to train. on they need to remake ruby/sapphire/emerald or continue the hoenn story somehow, it was also my fav region
I believe they're finally getting into remaking the hoen games after years and years of being badgered about it by loyal pokemon fans who've been around for long enough to appreciate every generation of pokemon.
I prefer Red but Ruby (Brendan) is a close second for me followed by diamond then gold then the protagonist from B/W; but and the protagonist from B2/W2 can go fuck himself and his shitie design
DiabolicalPaperClip It's a hat. Look at his sideburns. By the way, I also prefer Brendan more than the other protagonists, followed closely by Ethan, then Lucas, then Hilbert, then Red. (I've only played up to Gen 5)
actually,Gold is. Heck.Let's compare Brendan,Red and Gold. Brendan: -Got 8 badges and defeated the Elite Four -Stopped Team Aqua or Magma. -Caught 3 legendaries Red: -Got 8 Badges and defeated the Elite Four -Stopped Team Rocket -Caught 1 legendary Gold: -Got 16 Badges -Defeated the Elite Four -Defeated the new and stronger Team Rocket -DEFEATED RED!(This automaticaly makes him better than Red) -Caught at least 4 legendaries. So,in term of badges,Brendan and Red are equal, but Gold wins here. So 1 to 0 to 0,for Gold. In term of evil team,Brendan defeated two, while Gold and Red only one,so yes,Brendan wins there. 1 to 1 to 0(Brendan and Gold equal so far) Brendan caugh 3 legendaries,Red caught 1 and Gold 4. 2 to 1 to 0,for Gold And Gold gets another add,as he beat Red. So the final scores are: Red:0 Gold:3 Brendan:1
People bashed B&W until B&W 2 came out, then B&W became cool again. Peraonally I thought it was great from the get go. Interesting story, great antagonists, fun gameplay. B&W 2 was just as fun but the story was weak with a capital shallow.
Jacend I guess in terms of features and gameplay, but I enjoy the stories in the games and the one for BW2 was weak sauce. Also, and this is just opinion, the Kyurem Mixed with Zekrom or Reshiram is ugly and pretty weak compared to other legendaries (cough Mega Raquaza is too fucking op cough). Sure it's stronger than Zekrom and Reshiram alone but you'd think 2 legendaries spliced together would be more competitive than that.
Wait, sooooo... Kanto and Hoenn take place at the same time. That's why you can find Pokémon of their respective regions in each others game *(1)*. We know this since when a game is remade, it uses information from that game rather than the originals *(2)*. 3 years later, Johto came, and using information from Heart Gold & Soul Silver, Johto and Sinnoh take place at the same time. 5 years later, we're introduced to Unova and then 2 years later we're introduced to their sequels, Black and White 2 *(3)*. Kalos takes place after the first 4 regions and is either at the same time as Black/White 2 or a year after *(4)*. There is evidence in Pokémon X and Y, in fact there are 2: A) -Gary MotherFucking Oak- Pokémon Trainer Blue came to Kalos to do some random shit. B) A guy mentions Colress' adventures in Team Plasma. (1): You can find Hoenn Pokémon in Kanto and vice versa. (2): So, you have the original games Red and Blue. For now, we used information from there but when they were remade into Fire Red & Leaf Green they started using information from that. Same with Gold & Silver and Heart Gold & Soul Silver. (3): So now 10 years later, we have Black/White 2. (4): A theory of my own yet a very plausible and sensible theory. Finally, my main point...There is no timeline. With Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Hoenn will take place at the same time in Kalos since it will have Mega Evolutions. It was fine for Gold and Silver to have remakes since they didn't take over anything but Hoenn remakes would take place after 3 regions that came after it, making everyone rethink the Pokémon timeline and rendering this comment invalid. It would become a time paradox, and as long as Pokémon keep on making remakes, Pokémon does not have a timeline. Thank you for reading, and as a reward, you get a cookie!
Oh, I mean that Kanto and Hoenn took place at the same time. Johto had a remake that made it take place at the same time, just with the edition of Sinnoh. Hoenn being remade (It is being remade btw) would mean it would stop being tied with Kanto as the oldest region but it would be newer than Johto, Sinnoh AND Unova, now tieing with Kalos as the latest region. THIS is what creates the time paradox. Diamond and Pearl are due for a remake now and this would mean instead of being tied with Johto, it would be the tied with the new region in Gen 7. THIS is why Pokémon is an everlasting loop.
well i would say wait until it comes out because they can explain the timeline in ORAS and how it is connected to Kalos and remember red&blue were connected to Gold&Sliver with the time capsule even with the 3 year gap
the kingkoopa Jp Well, I mean that as long as there were remakes or any remakes, they would have to rethink the whole timeline since the original Hoenn games up to this point or the original remade game. Sorry, if it's a little hard to understand what I'm saying, but if Kanto and Hoenn were the first, then came Johto, the Hoenn remakes would disrupt the Timeline by becoming later than Johto. Don't get me wrong though, I'm getting Omega Ruby on the first day it comes out XD
guys have always played as the male protagonist and girls have always played as the girl (mostly). So from everyone's first pokemon game onward they've projected their feelings towards their rival onto the opposite character. Nothing in the game changes no matter what gender you say you are except for your rival's sprite. So everyone has had the exact same experience but we still react differently to both protagonist of each generation because of their gender and our own gender. This probably happens every generation but I've noticed that this gen there is a lot of talk about how bad players feel for the female rival because of how badly she is beaten every time you battle. Where as I have those same feelings for Calem, the male protagonist, because I played as a girl. additionally, the line up of male protagonists at the end of the video is a line up of all the rivals I've defeated where as any guy watching this will see themselves. I think for any girl watching this there was a certain amount of cognitive dissonance watching their rival described as the hero.
Meep Leep I think you would be interested to know that about 45% of gamers are women. I can't say exactly what the numbers would be for pokemon though. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jun/11/report-nearly-half-gamers-are-women/?page=all
That is very interesting, however my point is still intact. It may also be noteworthy that the majority of people who watch and or play Pokemon are outside of the age demographic.
“the line up of male protagonists at the end of the video is a line up of all the rivals I've defeated” This is true for any female player, except in the kanto region, where ‘Blue’ (or ‘Gary’ in the anime) is your rival regardless of gender.
No wonder....that explains a lot why and how the timeline connects. Thank you for making this video, Because it answers my questions in both Pokemon Adventures (manga) and Pokemon games.
"you cannot even recatch most of the gen 1 and gen 2 Pokemon in the new games [Ruby and Sapphire]. Because of this, many fans decided to skip Ruby and Sapphire" Red and Blue - 27 million sold Gold and Silver - 14 million sold Ruby and Sapphire - 16 million sold Yeah OK.
Your assumption is, to be crass, stupid. He means he should make another video, or provide information in a comment, as to where X/Y lies in the timeline. It is literally that simple.
1: Charmander is super overrated 2: "Gamer Girl" really? 'Nuff said 3: wtf voting best starter pokemon for a game thats over 15 years old on a video about the TIMELINE?
I have actually never ever thought that all of these Pokemon game were all connected. Probably because I was always stuck at a certain point in game and never was able to finish a single Pokemon game XD.
The whole game plot just made so much sense now..... Back when I had played the games, I forgot most of the things characters did that didn't catch my eye at the time. But, now that I watched the video, I realized how things seemed to have a connection with each other..... huh.
Great, great video. Now let's see ya explain X and Y XD! Gosh, I really wonder when the events of Kalos happen. Definitely after Kanto/Hoenn, but besides that I'm not sure.... Oh, I'm sure they're gonna put some sort of hint in the games :)
Game Freak might havet o do another retcon now that the Hoenn remakes are coming out. SO that they can explain what the new mechanics happening in Hoenn.
For those who wonder how this relates to Pokemon X and Y: In the game, when the player heads to Geosenge Town, a town full of mysterious stones, they will meet a man on route 10. When spoken to, he says: "A few years back, this really strange dude named Colress told me that these big stones emit some kind of special energy." This shows that several years have passed since BW2, and that Colress traveled to the Kalos region, possibly for a different type of research.
They didn't recreate the gen one and two games to "fix the problem that people refused to play ruby and sapphire". They made it as a way to replay the games with better technology and no glitches. The gen 2 remakes were a way to rediscover johto, as the original games' batteries ran out from the clock in-game. So they had a purpose that was more than to make old players play again.
wow..now i feel so stupid when playing each gen of pokemon without knowing there was such a link!!! thanks for the enlightenment!! seriously made me look forward to the upcoming gen!
personally, i think that gen 3 was the best of all the pokemon games. the time it took to level up wasn't too fast or too slow, the gyms were challenging, and the story line was fantastic. :3
Gen 6 happens a few years after 5. Somewhere in the game (I forgot where) a guy says: hey, did you hear about the trouble team plasma was stirring up a while ago in Unova?
That would be a good idea. I have one too, I'd like to see a Pokémon game in which there's an that's so devastating that the normal protagonists of the games can't handle it, but instead all existing legendary Pokémon can (as a team), and you get to play as one of the legendaries (like Mew, Mewtwo or Arceus), then you set out to find all other legendaries, and once you do, you can complete the main goal of the game. How does that sound?
There should be a Simplified version of the story into ONE SINGLE GAME, I want to start in Kanto/Jhoto and travel all the way up to Sinnoh and then sail overseas to Unova :
i would like that but i don't think one 3ds cartridge can hold that much data
josh buckley Challenge accepted xD
Phoenix Craft i swear to god, if later, i see a pokemon game like gen 6 where you can change clothes, hair, and its with models instead of sprites where you start off in kanto and go all the way up to the latest region and become the ultimate pokemon master, im gonna cry :3

6:28 This kinda confirms that Platinum is the canon game .
Well, yeah, it is. Platinum was just there to give more of a story to Team Galactic and Giratina. You could still catch Giratina in D/P
if the protagonist from d/p/pl is fighting team galactic at the same time the protagonist from g/s/c/hg/ss is fighting red, then that may mean the weird sky effect that occurred whilst dialga or palkia was trying to destroy the world would be there during Ethan and Red's battle, making a truly amazing looking battle, i'd pay to see that.

That would be sick! But There's already an organization that planned to destroy the whole pokemon universe and recreate a new one and that is team galactic.
I high recommend the Pokemon Adventures manga, it's basically what you wanted
It goes from Reds adventure to OR AS
+CheeseTar they haven't finished xy yet I don't think they'll do Oras just because they didn't do any other remakes twice
This was genius linking all the games together and making the timeline. Props to you man!

Iadad that is exactly what I wanted all regions
Iadad Amazing Idea!
Zack Lopatinsky, Sounds really cool.
Emerald was actually my favorite game. I beat it 3 times and completed the Pokedex. No other game has compelled me to do so, but Pokemon Y seems to be really great right now.
how can you complete the pokedex iff you cant see all the starters in pokmeon emerald ????
Hidde Bakker Once you beat the elite 4, the region professor upgrades your pokedex? I had friends for trading? Hours of farming?
SSoH ow ok , i like gen 3 also the most
Hidde Bakker :)
My brethren! :D
If you skipped over Gen 3, you missed out on one of the best freaking Pokemon games ever
took place at the same time as gen 1
TopKek Dude What?
+Aye Lmao Gen 1 and Gen 3 took place first, then three years later Gen 2 and Gen 4 happened, then some time later B&W, 2 years later B&W2 and X&Y happened. Then ORAS completely fucked the cannon and now the timeline is broken.
MrMyriad I'm saying if you didn't play Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald you missed out on a great game, what are you talking about?
I just kinda skimmed, I translated it as "You skipped over gen 3"
This was the best timeline.
Every other timeline I seen was this:
Kanto and Hoenn happends at the same time.
Sinnoh happends within Johto.
But this was indeed very detalied.

Also I think 1-4 Gen is related since its base on Japan :)
There's also some guy on a route who talks about Ghetsis. So he must have been in Kalos. Maybe that's where he went after B2W2 (assuming that X and Y take place later)?
The guy going on about a new battle facility in a faraway region is almost definitely a teaser for Gen VII.
maybe the far off region was the orre region pokemon colliseum
I didn't think of that. There are loads of battle facilities in Orre, aren't there?
New battle facility? Battle Frontier. Now the Hoenn remakes are almost inevitable.
According to this, the Kanto-Hoenn Battle Frontier is hardly new. Again, assuming XY is at the very end of this timeline.
Cool I was shocked to find Jasmine in Sunyshore city in Pokémon Pearl
Revised version for X and Y?
My only question is: exactly how many years did the Unova saga take place after the Johto and Sinnoh sagas? And to add to that - what about Kalos? All we know about Unova is that the BW2 saga takes place two years after the BW1 saga.
If the Hoenn games are going to be remade, would it have some connection to Kalos like Johto did with Sinnoh? And since Hoenn already had a connection to Kanto... would there be 3 connections at once in Hoenn?
Wrap your head around that.
this was before that
Jess Pressel No shit, sherlock.
We know that this video was made before X & Y's release. I was referring to anyone who might know.
I hope they remake the Hoenn games. I'd like to see that.
***** Well, all we know is that Blue/Gary came to Kalos.
Soupah Mario Just Blue.
Not Gary.
Gary is the anime counterpart of Blue.
I have played every pokemon game in this world. And YOU!!! my friend have done a SPECTACULAR job on this timeline!!!!!! Keep it up!
I love how you made the connections so clear. Great video.
My brain doesn't have enough space to store this information. My mind was blown.
You'll have to update the video once all gen games are out, i'll be waiting.
THAT WAS AMAZING
I'm listening to this having SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much nostalgia.
When the outro started I got a wave of nostalgia. I will never forget my Black And White adventures...
Poor Hoenn region. I really like Hoenn. :(
The sweet nostalgia. I miss the hoenn region.
For some reason you just blew my mind
Pokemon games > pokemon anime

That's the best explaination for the pokemon timelin I've seen so far!
Where would X/Y take place? If I remember correctly, Colress was in Kalos, and Team Plasma was mentioned (along with Green (Gary)) so I'm guessing after B/W2 because of Fairy type, but I'm not sure.
Now you just need to update this for x and y
***** Your joking right? I hope your joking...
Then WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU COMMENTING ON IT? Dumb shit...
Doubt that...
***** then GTFO and get your self your OWN youtube account...jesus
***** still you dont just yell
GTFO to someone watching a pokemon video with a minecraft skin
And Pokemon X and Y starts around the same time as Red and blue. ??????????????????????????????????????????????????
BUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLL SHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTT
Prince Kendall Kidd LOL XD Its just a theory.
Ehh, XY can't be around the same time than Red and Blue because they mention team plasma in a Pokémon center at Luminouse city, they also mention Blue being at Kalos at some point, and let's not forget the Gracidea flower so technically XY it's around the same time than Black and White two. ;w ;

Very good vid. Most of your vids tend to piss me off, but I liked this one.
I love how you put N's Bridge as one of the sound tracks. I feel like it's so forgotten. But I also like your explanations
THANK YOU!! I've been searching for the name of this soundtrack for over two years! I Fucking love you bro!!!
Oh, the official name is Embracing one's duty if I'm not mistaken but you're welcome. This is a wonderful soundtrack
+Michelle Liu You say Patato, I say Patato; Nevertheless I'm under your gratitude, So with that said Thanks a lot!!!
TheChris17ish I accept your gratitude :P
The timelines fit in everything but the Hoenn region imo. Hoenn and Kanto being able to trade is just a gimmick GF made, while everything else actually has ties in the story, not just being "able to trade without a time machine."
Now I know why I caught a level 11 gyrados in the lake of rage
Hey just to jump in the ban wagon.... Ryte when u enter the route full of stones in Gen.6 there is a guy who talks about colress.... And a guy who mentions ghetesis... Could that mean somthing?
Not only that but LOOKER!!! Has been in 3 of the games... He somehow must tie in the storyline...
Ban wagon?
What the bloody feck are you on abou-- **Banned.**
Wow, I can't believe I never caught those text boxes about the red gyarados. What a cool and interesting video lol.
I got used to reading the news every time I started a new game on diamond/pearl, and never noticed it was a direct broadcast from the event on johto
make another one with ORAS and XY
So basicly the regions takes place in the same timeline as...
Kanto/Hoenn
3 years later...
Johto/Sinnoh
?5? years later...
Unova
2 years later...
Unova/Kalos
That's the official timeline. I like the question marks around the "5" signifying GameFreak's lack of comment on the Gen IV/V time skip.
So Red basically is
16 in kanto/Hoenn
19 in johto/sinnoh (make sense when i see him in the new version to be honest, he look grown up and i had tears when fighting him.
?24? Unova
26... Unova/Kalos....
Man basically red are 26 years old now, its kinda match the age of the old pokemon player who begun with Yellow and Red vers
Gold are 23
the protagonist of unova are probably around 18 after the timeskip.
Wish i could play adult protagonist here.
*****
Actually, Red started his journey at eleven, so you're about five years off.
XY/ORAS have their own time line play ORAS delta episode
*****
You mean Delta Emerald?
WindowsFan2296 after you beat the champion/main story in ORAS you unlock an extra story called "Delta Episode" a post story with Rayquaza, deoxys, and Zinna.
Oh.
*****
Actually, that alternate universe isn't explicitly stated to be RSE. It's slightly implied, but not confirmed.
this guy really clears my mind about the world of pokemon thank you
Amazing video. Subbed!
what about gen 6?
Can't wait to see how 6th gen will connect.
what would be sick is we know the b/w protagonist hasnt found n yet so maybe he travels to alola region and finds us in our journey we get to battle with him or do some stuff and then he decides to go home back to unova now that would be sick
that'd be sick. N was the best Rival and Red is a classic everyone loves too
What would his NPC name be? Pronably Black not Hilbert as Red isn't called his non version name Ash.
+Dark Unova dude big mistake ash and red are different way different their journey is different and everything is different
That was mind boggling. I Didn't think that pokemon would have such a deep and engaging story similar to other JRPGs.
amazing how thousands of hours in these pokemon games have been laid out in a simple explanation told over 8 minutes d^^b good job.
would be cool if in the future we could battle a older gen character when he is old.
U can battle red in hg/as and I'm pretty sure u can in b2/w2
+Kalzo ss*
+RareQueen yea 😂
+RareQueen :D
What if Gary Oak became a professor?
That is one complex timeline!
Try organizing the Zelda timeline then.
arcuesfanatic It becomes rather simple if you accept the split timeline theory. But good luck understanding the split timeline theory.
retromario96 It's not really that difficult.
This explains why there hasn't been a 3rd Gen remake >
5 years ago...
...
this is amazing!!! please make another video that includes x and y storyline!!! i love this
In Pokemon X and Y on route 10 (Right above Cyllage City) a backpacker dude says that "A few years back, this really strange dude named Colress told me that these big stones emit some kind of special energy." I found it cool that they decided to talk about Colress! :D
what about the hoenn does it just end... if anything that protaganist must be the best. think about it. pokemon ahs always been about being the best. and the hoenn guy is the only one who continued to train. on they need to remake ruby/sapphire/emerald or continue the hoenn story somehow, it was also my fav region
I believe they're finally getting into remaking the hoen games after years and years of being badgered about it by loyal pokemon fans who've been around for long enough to appreciate every generation of pokemon.
Brendan is the coolest protagonist
*Brendan's hat is the coolest protagonist.
I prefer Red but Ruby (Brendan) is a close second for me followed by diamond then gold then the protagonist from B/W; but and the protagonist from B2/W2 can go fuck himself and his shitie design
josh buckley But his hair is a marvel of mankind!
Brendan:
-Got 8 badges and defeated the Elite Four
-Stopped Team Aqua or Magma.
-Caught 3 legendaries
Red:
-Got 8 Badges and defeated the Elite Four
-Stopped Team Rocket
-Caught 1 legendary
Gold:
-Got 16 Badges
-Defeated the Elite Four
-Defeated the new and stronger Team Rocket
-DEFEATED RED!(This automaticaly makes him better than Red)
-Caught at least 4 legendaries.
So,in term of badges,Brendan and Red are equal, but Gold wins here. So 1 to 0 to 0,for Gold.
In term of evil team,Brendan defeated two, while Gold and Red only one,so yes,Brendan wins there. 1 to 1 to 0(Brendan and Gold equal so far)
Brendan caugh 3 legendaries,Red caught 1 and Gold 4. 2 to 1 to 0,for Gold
And Gold gets another add,as he beat Red.
So the final scores are:
Red:0
Gold:3
Brendan:1
lol its 2016.. why am I here
cause you're stupid
cause you clicked on the video
L
Because it's Pokémon
same
"Yeah this dream will last forever, this dream never die. We will rise will with the challenge every time." love that opening
You deserve a sub from me, everything's nice from narrating to posing facts.
Black and white 2 sounds most interesting to me. I've played every Pokemon game except the black and white series
B&W was much better, B&W2 was pretty weak actually. The only thing better is that there are actually pokemon from previous gens.
People bashed B&W until B&W 2 came out, then B&W became cool again. Peraonally I thought it was great from the get go. Interesting story, great antagonists, fun gameplay. B&W 2 was just as fun but the story was weak with a capital shallow.
+MrMyriad Thank you for explaining that
BW2 is MUCH better than BW, but BW is still amazing. Don't listen to him.
There is evidence in Pokémon X and Y, in fact there are 2:
A) -Gary MotherFucking Oak- Pokémon Trainer Blue came to Kalos to do some random shit.
Share my genius to the world!
Mega Evo's have been around since the events of FR/LG.
guys have always played as the male protagonist and girls have always played as the girl (mostly).
You make a fine point, however one must keep in mind that this is not overly common knowledge being that most Pokemon players are male.
It may also be noteworthy that the majority of people who watch and or play Pokemon are outside of the age demographic.
freazeezy i think youll find that includes facebook games such as farmville, so nobody really cares
“the line up of male protagonists at the end of the video is a line up of all the rivals I've defeated” This is true for any female player, except in the kanto region, where ‘Blue’ (or ‘Gary’ in the anime) is your rival regardless of gender.
Thanks for clearing this up! it's still so open to theories and additions though! PoKeMoN is so exciting.
Because of this, many fans decided to skip Ruby and Sapphire"
Red and Blue - 27 million sold
Gold and Silver - 14 million sold
Ruby and Sapphire - 16 million sold
Yeah OK.
what about x and y?
Look at the date. It was made before X/Y even came out! :P
***** That still doesn't answer the question
So, you want the video to add something about X and Y now when the video came out before the game itself? Lol okay.
Your assumption is, to be crass, stupid. He means he should make another video, or provide information in a comment, as to where X/Y lies in the timeline. It is literally that simple.
Woah man, you don't have to get so offensive. All you could of said is that he should make another video to include X/Y and this wouldn't of happened.
Now where do we fit generation 6 into all of this?
Takes place 2 years after B2/W2
X and Y takes place around the same time period as Black2 and White2.
I find after BW2 pokemon went down the gutter
It's so messy, yet so interesting at the same time :D
years of worth of explanation in just 8 mins your awsome men
soul soulver :P
heart goals
VOTE CHARMANDER FOR BEST STARTER POKEMON :D
(one like equals one vote)
1: Charmander is super overrated 2: "Gamer Girl" really? 'Nuff said 3: wtf voting best starter pokemon for a game thats over 15 years old on a video about the TIMELINE?
Blaziken beats the hell out of all the other starters stat wise though. He's banned in tournies for a reason
Jarek The Gaming Dragon no, turtwig does © is not copyright, its copyleft!
FREAKING CHARIZARD IS BETTER THAN BLAZIKEN
I have actually never ever thought that all of these Pokemon game were all connected. Probably because I was always stuck at a certain point in game and never was able to finish a single Pokemon game XD.
this was a great video! please add to this video the kalos region. it would be awesome!!! :D
In Red, blue, green, fire red, and lead green the electric-type gym leader talks about a war he took part in, which is a big plot point in X/Y
Good memories from all of those games especially FireRed! Geez so long it seems like
My mind is so blown, my mind logged in to every pokemon game I've ever played and remembered all of these key moments.... Woah....
Brain......hurt........ow
Nice video by the way,I will have to check out some more
The whole game plot just made so much sense now..... Back when I had played the games, I forgot most of the things characters did that didn't catch my eye at the time. But, now that I watched the video, I realized how things seemed to have a connection with each other..... huh.
So does this mean I traveled back and forth through time while playing these games? Siiick!
Great, great video. Now let's see ya explain X and Y XD! Gosh, I really wonder when the events of Kalos happen. Definitely after Kanto/Hoenn, but besides that I'm not sure.... Oh, I'm sure they're gonna put some sort of hint in the games :)
that was sooooooooo good i could not stop listing good job!!!!!!!!!!!!
Game Freak might havet o do another retcon now that the Hoenn remakes are coming out. SO that they can explain what the new mechanics happening in Hoenn.
Best video I liked so far!
Wow never was thinking about this!
Please update it to pokemon X and Y and keep going
what about the new games :( great vid and its amazing how many references they make :)
Great video dude!!!!
Sir, thank you for being one of the few that understand that
For those who wonder how this relates to Pokemon X and Y:
In the game, when the player heads to Geosenge Town, a town full of mysterious stones, they will meet a man on route 10. When spoken to, he says:
"A few years back, this really strange dude named Colress told me that these big stones emit some kind of special energy."
This shows that several years have passed since BW2, and that Colress traveled to the Kalos region, possibly for a different type of research.
Thank you... for explaining my entire childhood.... in 8 minutes
That was really cool and interesting.
That just blew my mind *Favorite and like!*
You should also be able to battle all of the heroes from the old games in their own respective regions, that would be epic.
wow..now i feel so stupid when playing each gen of pokemon without knowing there was such a link!!! thanks for the enlightenment!! seriously made me look forward to the upcoming gen!
I remember watching this and learning so much
Woah!!!!!!! Way mor complex than i originally thought the pokemon story was
0:20 What in the world? is that a lapras and charizard combined? cause the body looks like a lapras..the head looks like a charizard without ears.
It's probably what beta Lapras looked like.
great idea! plus they should have EVERY pokemon catchable on it like mew, mewtwo etc
Whats up with the potion(inside the P.C storage) at the beginning of the Pokemon games...???
Exactly. They dont have potions in the pc and u can't even access or have use for ur pc in BW/BW2
personally, i think that gen 3 was the best of all the pokemon games. the time it took to level up wasn't too fast or too slow, the gyms were challenging, and the story line was fantastic.
How does that sound?
you explained it very well , thank you
Loved your explanation :)
