@@StrawHatMidas I think you made a few mistakes in your video. I replayed the whole series recently and I think there's a flaw you glazed over in at least SwSh and BW/BW2 but emerald has a huge flaw too. And thats difficulty level especially in endgame. Rayquaza at lvl 70 meant e4 and champion was free in emerald if you used it. By the end of a normal bdsp playthrough my pokemon were 20 lvls overleveled and I didn't even try to do that. Same with sword and shield with the super overleveled super fast thing. Scarlet and violet did handle this better I'll admit. Black 2 endgame is slow and grindy too. Black tower and e4 rm takes countless hours of XP grinding to complete. I think emerald #1 is a given because if you don't use rayquaza it's the best paced game plus has a good flow. But I think b2/w2 above platinum is a bit of a questionable choice. HGSS had such an awful pool of pokemon to use too. If it has better pokemon it can be #1. Black was awful. Omega ruby and alpha sapphire was overleveled entire game even while skipping trainers. Black 2 redeems itself by having you gain significantly less XP if you are higher level than intended.
There was a lot of anger towards sword and shield from people like me because we’ve invested all of this time into all of these Pokémon, and were used to being able to transfer them forward from our childhood, etc, and here comes a game that says almost none of these things are going to be going forward. They said that it was going to be too expensive to make the models for it. And then they did end up adding some overtime, and then they put even more behind a DLC pay wall. They just seemed so incredibly disrespectful and did not seem to understand. The player base that has existed, like we were being abandoned. And if you want to say that, the target audience is just the new generation of young children, OK, so then let’s all just stop playing the games? People were less upset with the actual games and more upset with stuff like this. Nintendo forward March meant that their players were left behind in the same game titles because the expectation had been made by them over and over and over that would be transferable going forward. It made people like me to not want to invest more time into the game, because I’m just going to pick up a game and put it down, I may as well play some other game that I get more value out of for something like that, and is honest about it upfront
i feel like the only thing holding me back from enjoying the newest games of pokemon , are that all pokemons in ur party share experience and that the games feels a bit too easy.
The thing I don’t get about BD & SP is why didn’t they just use platinum as the base and remake that? It’s pretty universally agreed upon that it’s the best version I really doubt anyone would rather play the og Diamond & pearl instead
As a kid i played Blue and Gold a ton but then i missed a few generations. Ended up playing Sword, lets Go, Arceus with my nephew when he got into pokemon. More recently i decided to give Heartgold a shot and its by far the best pokemon game ive played. Maybe i need to give Emerald shot though, was interesting to see your rankings after playing everything. I agree with nearly everything you said about the games i have played, so ill probably like Emerald if u tried it.
That funny, had an itching for pokemon, fired up Blue (my OG from release week) and I just wasn't feeling it. Went to Platinum, and it also didn't really scratch the itch for me, so I decide to play emerald. That did it. Started looking up some stuff, and of course the yt overload algo knows what I was doing on the web and recommended this video. I 100% agree emerald ftw. Honestly "a little bit dated" is being nice, and that's coming from me, where I swear GBA was announced just a few months ago lol.
@@StrawHatMidas Platinum is great its the definitive version of Gen 4 on the DS just like how Emerald is the definitive version of gen 3. For the quality of life changes, battle frontier and story additions. However it just feels so good having a classic pokemon experience on modern hardware. I haven't played a pokemon game this much since B2W2
Great list, thanks for the video! I personally find Emerald really similar to Ruby and Sapphire and I keep wondering how it manages to make it to the #1 on other lists as well.
Even tho Emerald has the same context as Ruby and Sapphire, the changes are there: 1. Story: The battle between Magma and Aqua trying to do their plans in parallel makes more sense. Also they include Rayquaza as a principal factor in the story 2. Battles: More animations in sprites and Poke Balls. You can have rematches with trainers and Gym Leaders 3. Pokemon: When in Ruby and Sapphire you're supposes to trade between games, in Emerald you can catch almost all of the Hoenn pokemon 4. Postgame: This one is the reason why Emerald is so loved. The new Battle Frontier was an experience never seen before where you had to take different type of challenges in a more serious and difficult way. Also, you could explore more things about the region and battle against Steven in Meteor Falls. Surely there are more changes but trying to remember everything is a lot more complicated than I thought
You gained a fan from this video 👍 Sword and Shield are my favorite Pokemon games on Switch and get way too much hate. Also, Emerald is easily the best Pokemon game. Thanks for this 🤘🤘🤘
another bdsp hater, if you ranked d/p that high there is no reason you would rank bdsp last because bdsp are the definitive version of d/p, also, emerald the best? Take off your nostalgia googles dude
You and I think roughly the same but for me the best are the following (in order): - Pokemon SV: Listen, the performance issues and graphic designs do suck, that's a fact. However, it has a good storyline that connects well enough to leave a satisfying experience especially with the DLCs adding more to offer and more locations to explore and mess around in. It is a good start to something we wanted, and also Area Zero exists. - Pokemon X & Y: I do not understand how people hated it when it was a lesser Gen 5, but still good enough *for the time*. I understand Gen 7 improves graphics, but it's like Gen 4 and Gen 5. Leap in quality sure, but it's still a good experience. Plus IT GAVE US MEGA EVOS - Pokemon Black & White 2: I recently reviewed BW part 1, and I love that game a lot, but B2W2 really goes far and beyond in the content and battling. More Pokemon, Colress, the PWT, it had so much to do after the main campaign that it was insane. - Pokemon HGSS & Platinum: I have these as a tie for me because these Pokemon made me a fan of the mainline games. HGSS was my first Johto experience and I loved the additional stuff they did as a remake to GSC. Platinum, sure it's slow but it was everything as a kid. The story was fun. The Pokemon felt complete in its roster, and the music transcends time and space (lol). - Pokemon Legends Arceus: To me, this is what Pokemon should have been from the beginning of the Switch's era. It is the best looking 3D Pokemon, the mechanics are so well done, the battling si INCREDIBLE, and it was a good adventure that gave you the feeling of revisiting Sinnoh again but experiencing something entirely new in the process.
Nice list, my mainline game region order with best version in brackets (Arceus i consider a spinoff so not in list but great game). 1. Unova (B/W) 2. Galar (Sw/Sh) 3. Paldea (S/V) 4. Hoenn (OR/AS) 5. Kalos (X/Y) 6. Johto (HG/SS) 7. Kanto (LGE/LGP) 8. Sinnoh (BD/SP) 9. Alola (US/UM)
BDSP are great games. Original Diamond and Pearl were full of problems that they actually fixed in Platinum version. The only games that ruin the series are the new ones that removed over 200 and something Pokemon from existing.
I think the games were fine but they were so hyped up to be something great and they came out being just OK which made them even worse if you’re going to remake GEN four remake platinum
@@StrawHatMidas Honestly I get where you're coming from, but using that logic is like saying they should have used Emerald Version to Remake Gen 3, instead of Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, and they should have used Crystal Version instead of Gold & Silver for HG/SS. Platinum actually sold the least amount of copies of any Pokemon game, I feel like people were already done with Gen 4 by the time it came out. HGSS were the exception because they brought back Gen 2 into Gen 4.
Other than your placement for Sword and Shield, I think this list is probably the closest to the generalized opinion of the entire Pokemon community. As a result, it’s hard to argue with it
@@StrawHatMidas I think all the games have their own merit, sword and shield has cool stuff in it. I consider it to be the most outwardly lazy Pokemon game they’ve ever made, but I say the same thing about NSMB2 and I still had fun with it. But the models disappear when you walk away from them, the textures and colors are bland (subjective, but I don’t think the game looks that great), a lot of the buildings in the game look the same (which old games did too, but it comes across as incredibly lazy with a fully fledged 3D game),there wasn’t a national Pokédex but they just ripped most of the sprites from the 3DS, and dynamaxing was just never a gimmick I got into like Megas and terastilizing. SV suffer from a lot of these problems too, and in the case of hardware an even bigger problem than SwSh, but I like the pokemon, region, and gimmick more
What’s crazy is that i was born in 2006 and my most nolstalgic pokémon games are pokémon emerald and pokémon fire red and leaf green because i used to emulate them on my iphone as a kid on GBA4IOS😂 I have hundreds of hours on those games as a kid i love them
first pokemon game ever was emerald on my DS. Couldn't have asked for a better first experience. i still to this day choose it over the other games usually even though ive played through it numerous times. Only complaint is that as it was my first game to introduce me to the franchise, Nothing could ever compare quite the same due to how good it was.
Pokémon Emerald is absolutely amazing. I’m still waiting for a new Pokémon game to bring back a similar Battle Frontier. So glad I still have my original copy all these years later. And I also agree that sword and shield receive way too much hate. I actually really enjoy the max raids. I hope future games keep raids as a game mode going forward.
My Ranking: Heart Gold & Soul Silver Black 2 & White 2 Platinum Legends Arceus Black & White Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Emerald Sword & Shield Fire Red & Leaf Green XD: Gale of Darkness Colosseum Sun & Moon X & Y Let’s Go Pikachu & Let’s Go Eevee Crystal Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Scarlett & Violet (I didn’t include OG Red & Blue, Gold & Silver, Ruby & Sapphire, Diamond & Pearl, and Yellow because the remakes & enhanced versions just delete the originals for me)
@@jcarr1289I couldn't agree more. Sw and Sh, in my opinion, are F tier. Dynamax just did irreparable damage to that game and I couldn't enjoy it at all

Red and Blue are fun because of the spaghetti code the game was made with. Like there's so many glitches it's not even funny. You can get Mew as early as the second gym due to trainer fly, and there's literally dry item underflow and so many glitch items, walking through walls. I can't name them all, there's so many.
Emerald? I beat that game, I really liked it. But there's no way that thats better then HeartGold and SoulSilver Those are the best pokemon games of all time, hands down. IMO of course. Cool video though!
I haven't played Gen 8 or Gen 9 yet. Here's my ranking: 1. Sun and Moon/USUM 2. Black and White 3. Black and White 2 4. Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald 5. X and Y 6. FireRed/LeafGreen 7. Diamond/Pearl/Platinum 8. HeartGold/SoulSilver 9. Gold/Silver/Crystal 10. Red/Blue/Yellow In terms of gens: 1. Gen 7 2. Gen 5 3. Gens 3 and 6 4. Gen 4 5. Gen 2 6. Gen 1 (still great)
Sorry but all of the switch titles should be under any of the gameboy-3ds games they actually have care put into them and are paced well while the new games are boarderline unplayable
Only games I still play are R,B,Y,G,S,C,R,S,E, D,P and P. The rest were worth one playthrough. That's about it. Pokemon has been dead for at least a decade. I still buy every game just to own it. But nothing past gen 4 is worth multiple plays.
I honestly don't mind the Let's Go games and I've been playing since at least Ruby/Sapphire. I think I mostly agree with these choices, definitely putting Emerald at #1 personally. It's just the perfect Pokemon game to me.
for me, black/heargold/emerald were classic fav and my childhood. violet is my modern fav that I have so many moments with my friends. sword and shield is alright for me.
I quite literally never do this. But the “I just started talking to a girl” cutaway gag compelled me to write this comment. Very rarely does something get me to audibly laugh. I chuckle and smirk, but it takes a LOT to get a hearty laugh out of me. That joke, for whatever reason, killed me. You earned a sub my friend.
I played Unova (which I think is Black/White?) this year and honestly so surprised I could enjoy a pokemon game. I duno if it's the best story but I def appreciate how concise the dialogue were. If it's just filler text, you waste very little time reading but if it's somewhat meaningful, I couldn't help but pause at how the message was delivered with such simplicity
Either Platinum or Black and white are a good place to start! After those X and Y are underrated and have good gimmicks that feel more like the modern games :D
While I'm still not the biggest fan of the Pokémon designs of Gen 4 onward, I still gotta admit Black and White have the best story and best villains of all games. It's tied with Emerald and Heart Gold/ SoulSilver as my favorite. I haven't played Black and White 2 yet, but if they're even better than their predecessors, they'd be my number 1, hands down!
#1 Emerald #2 BW2 #3 HgSs #4 Platinum All easily top 4 games, put them in any order, but this is my preference. The only huge flaw these games really have is that HMs really suck to play around. BW2 is the best about not needing HMs for every route and you can do with having HM mons in the PC for most of a playthrough, so I'm placing it higher. Same reason why platinum is lower, introducing rock climb for some reason. Emerald gets a pass on dive because I'm biased and started playing Gen 3. For the rest of the list I'm ignoring any version of a game that's a strict downgrade. Games like DP, ORAS, etc. are just going to clutter up the list as well as just being hard to rank amongst other gens. #5 Fire red and leaf green. Kanto is just an amazing region, and this is the best way to play through it. #6 Scarlet and Violet are a little over hated, personally I rarely had performance issues aside from the lake area. The game isn't perfect but it's a lot of fun and it's a fresh take on the series. The map is very fun to explore, and I love that battles take place on the actual map. Also I actually cared about completing the Pokedex during a normal playthrough for the first time. I hope Gen 10 sticks with the open world formula and improves upon it, like battling the gyms in any order and having their Pokemon scale to that level would also be a welcome addition. #7 Arceus is a little overrated. It's not bad by any means, and i would be okay putting this at 6, but the repetitive gameplay was a little too grindy for me. Trainer battles were very underwhelming, it was weird to me that a strong wild pokemon could faint a few pokemon if you weren't careful, but a trainer just couldn't do anything. The boss battles and quests were absolutely fantastic and I hope they port those into a traditional Pokemon game. #8 XY are solid games, just a little too short and a tad too easy. A third game really could've done wonders, but we just never got it. Also, the introduction of fairy type is very good. #9 Sun and Moon- The games are just too short. Replacing gyms is fine, but replacing them with just one strong pokemon encounter, and having just 4 was not a good idea. If this game had 8 trials and bigger islands, it maybe could've been solid. I think it was here where the game production really started to feel too rushed. XY already felt like it was missing content to meet a deadline, but SM felt like half the game was missing. (Truth be told I haven't played the ultra games, aside from the new DLCs, these and gen 1+2 are the only games I haven't played) #10 SwSh- It has nothing to do with dexit or graphics, although those don't help it. The routes are incredibly boring and there's not much in the way of traversing the environment. Hidden paths, dungeons, and puzzles are all absent. It's get from point A to B and fight some unskippable trainers along the way. The only choice you'll make is whether or not you want to fight wild Pokemon. The wild area is okay, but kinda awkward. #11 Let's go- Yes it's technically a downgrade to FrLg. But it's different enough I wanted to place it, as well it being the worst Pokemon game to date.
Gen 1,2, then 3, then whatever else. I really like how there’s a Pokémon fan base, even nowadays. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside. But the first gens, particularly 1 and 2 ARE Pokémon.
When i was 11 i played gen 1 red and then yellow on GB and then GBC. Used to battled with friends and win them. Now im 36 and i downloaded emerald on a gba emulator on my smartphone. Having fun with emerald so far but im not that patient anymore as before. I also downloaded DS emulator and im going to try Platinum, only for the OST.
Scarlet violet number 1. The ease of ev/iv training, shiny hunting, the terrastilizing gimmick which made for the best strategy of any game. The story was ok and there were some enjoyable characters although I prefer the team rocket type villains. Performance and graphics could be better but I judge a game based on total content and all the aspects at which make the game fun. Needless to say I think there’s more to like about scarlet violet than any other in the series.
I love the Hoenn region but I can’t stand all the water everything else is incredible, I don’t think I can pick a favorite between HGSS, B2/W2, and Platinum. My opinion changes every other week on which is my favorite

Wait how could someone put Scarlet and Violet over Let’s Go Pikachu, one is piece a piece of trash technically and shouldn’t even be allowed to sell while the other one is a well made game, even though a bit simplifies for new audiences
I like how SV made the jump into the open world even if it struggles to do its job. Lets go was just a worse version of Kanto to me but i can understand why you would have them swapped :D
Totally agree that x and y and sword and shield get too much hate. Legends: Arceus is THE GREATEST pokemon game of all time imo tho.
I don’t know where all that heat comes from and it doesn’t make sense to me. The games are great.
Both X/Y and Sword/Shield were judged a bit too harshly
Quality video brotha. Keep it up
You know, for having less than 1.5 subs your videos are pretty good. Keep it up!
Thank you :) I appreciate it I hope to grow and learn along the way :)
i feel like the only thing holding me back from enjoying the newest games of pokemon , are that all pokemons in ur party share experience and that the games feels a bit too easy.
I wish you could turn that off and make the game more challenging :D
love your editing (new sub btw 🙏🏽)
Thank you so much I appreciate you :)
The thing I don’t get about BD & SP is why didn’t they just use platinum as the base and remake that? It’s pretty universally agreed upon that it’s the best version I really doubt anyone would rather play the og Diamond & pearl instead
Would defs boost S/M up and US/UM but tbh the rest of the list is pretty spot on with how I view the games
Fair enough! That’s a valid opinion
Your list is very based! I would switch Lets Go and S/V ( Platin > HGSS > Emerald > BW (> LG/FR)
I think you would like Emerald a lot. To me it just feels like the most engaging pokemon experience. HGSS are also just as good though :D
Absolutely love BDSP, yes it should have more platinum features but I am just so obsessed with these games
I just cant do it, i like platinum way too much and i think its better. The games are not bad though
@@ItisJGbdsp could have been a lot better but they are definitely over hated imo. There 100 percent better than the original dp
@@mannymushies5241 it could have been yes, we were so close to absolute goat status of it brought in platinum features
Great list, thanks for the video!
I personally find Emerald really similar to Ruby and Sapphire and I keep wondering how it manages to make it to the #1 on other lists as well.
Even tho Emerald has the same context as Ruby and Sapphire, the changes are there:
1. Story: The battle between Magma and Aqua trying to do their plans in parallel makes more sense. Also they include Rayquaza as a principal factor in the story
2. Battles: More animations in sprites and Poke Balls. You can have rematches with trainers and Gym Leaders
3. Pokemon: When in Ruby and Sapphire you're supposes to trade between games, in Emerald you can catch almost all of the Hoenn pokemon
Thanks for this 🤘🤘🤘
Honestly spot on review
I literally found your channel today with this video and gave a like and sub just because you put Emerald at 1. Man of culture.
another bdsp hater, if you ranked d/p that high there is no reason you would rank bdsp last because bdsp are the definitive version of d/p, also, emerald the best? Take off your nostalgia googles dude
You and I think roughly the same but for me the best are the following (in order):
- Pokemon SV: Listen, the performance issues and graphic designs do suck, that's a fact.
Plus IT GAVE US MEGA EVOS
- Pokemon Black & White 2: I recently reviewed BW part 1, and I love that game a lot, but B2W2 really goes far and beyond in the content and battling.
SV are good i just wish that they took more time on them:D I think this order is entirely valid though :D
L takes
@@MultiDarkII then what are yous?
Good point but lets not glaze legend's fights... Are cleary the worst in the series and its not even close. You can beat the game with level 40 mons
I disagree with a few, sword and shield are pretty shallow and easy games. X and Y are also far too easy for my taste
I respect, but the top 3 in my opinion is
-HG/SS
-B2/W2
-Emerald
Nice list, my mainline game region order with best version in brackets (Arceus i consider a spinoff so not in list but great game).
1. Unova (B/W)
2. Galar (Sw/Sh)
3. Paldea (S/V)
4. Hoenn (OR/AS)
5. Kalos (X/Y)
6. Johto (HG/SS)
7. Kanto (LGE/LGP)
8. Sinnoh (BD/SP)
9. Alola (US/UM)
This is pretty close to my list! good opinions
Thanks :D what is your list?
I have never played any Pokemon game that are on the Switch because how expensive they are and that they are never on sale.
Other than your placement for Sword and Shield, I think this list is probably the closest to the generalized opinion of the entire Pokemon community. As a result, it’s hard to argue with it
I think sword and shield are overhated I loved those games
SV suffer from a lot of these problems too, and in the case of hardware an even bigger problem than SwSh, but I like the pokemon, region, and gimmick more
Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet are not that acclaimed for good reason IMO but I love Gen 1-6 and only them
What’s crazy is that i was born in 2006 and my most nolstalgic pokémon games are pokémon emerald and pokémon fire red and leaf green because i used to emulate them on my iphone as a kid on GBA4IOS😂 I have hundreds of hours on those games as a kid i love them
Hey man , I haven’t played Pokémon since platinum and I would like to get back into it . I’m unsure of which title to pick up & what console
If emerald wasn’t number one I was going to do absolutely nothing, but be upset about it.
As much as more games come out graphics get better i always find myself replaying the original 2 gens
They are great generations I get why you would :D
Nice video! Subbed
first pokemon game ever was emerald on my DS. Couldn't have asked for a better first experience. i still to this day choose it over the other games usually even though ive played through it numerous times. Only complaint is that as it was my first game to introduce me to the franchise, Nothing could ever compare quite the same due to how good it was.
Great video. Just wish ya had descending numbers lol
I just started playing HGSS yesterday, goated game
Just wait until you Black 2/White 2. Even better.
@@samkoanijust not with that annoying dance studio part 🤣

Facts S&M USUM Supremacy!
PLA, PLATINUM, HGSS, BW 2, BW 1, ORAS, then anything else
I’ve also played since red/blue and Legends Arceus made pokemon fun again for me. Probably my favorite in the series and I can’t wait for the new one.
Pokemon platinum is too op ❤
Platinum is a solid 9.8/10 :D
Pokémon Emerald is absolutely amazing. I’m still waiting for a new Pokémon game to bring back a similar Battle Frontier. So glad I still have my original copy all these years later. And I also agree that sword and shield receive way too much hate. I actually really enjoy the max raids. I hope future games keep raids as a game mode going forward.
Bro i swear to god you started good but once i saw the oggs so low i wanted to implode

I'm a huge gen 5 fan and i can't wait for its remake
I’m so glad you like Sword and Shield !!! It’s my favorite ❤️ I love playing it with my 5 year old ❤️❤️❤️
Red and Blue are fun because of the spaghetti code the game was made with. Like there's so many glitches it's not even funny. You can get Mew as early as the second gym due to trainer fly, and there's literally dry item underflow and so many glitch items, walking through walls. I can't name them all, there's so many.
Yeah those games were programmed on a microwave lol. They are so exploitable it’s really funny to see what people have been able to figure out :)
I wanna get into Pokémon games and already played sword and violet what do you recommend that I play next?
@@AlexAguirre-v3s Probably ORAS next for Gen 6.
Emerald?
I beat that game, I really liked it. But there's no way that thats better then HeartGold and SoulSilver
Those are the best pokemon games of all time, hands down. IMO of course.
Cool video though!
All and all i jst wanted them to make those 2D semi 3D games like BW2, OR&AS, and XY. Those game were incredible for me.
I haven't played Gen 8 or Gen 9 yet. Here's my ranking:
1. Sun and Moon/USUM
2. Black and White
3. Black and White 2
4. Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
5. X and Y
6. FireRed/LeafGreen
7. Diamond/Pearl/Platinum
8. HeartGold/SoulSilver
9. Gold/Silver/Crystal
10. Red/Blue/Yellow
In terms of gens:
1. Gen 7
2. Gen 5
3. Gens 3 and 6
4. Gen 4
5. Gen 2
6. Gen 1 (still great)
Sorry but all of the switch titles should be under any of the gameboy-3ds games they actually have care put into them and are paced well while the new games are boarderline unplayable
Nice video
Thanks :D
Only games I still play are R,B,Y,G,S,C,R,S,E, D,P and P. The rest were worth one playthrough. That's about it. Pokemon has been dead for at least a decade. I still buy every game just to own it. But nothing past gen 4 is worth multiple plays.
Excellent list
I honestly don't mind the Let's Go games and I've been playing since at least Ruby/Sapphire. I think I mostly agree with these choices, definitely putting Emerald at #1 personally. It's just the perfect Pokemon game to me.
Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Platinum, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire are my top 5. Yes I started with Red version as a kid.
for me, black/heargold/emerald were classic fav and my childhood. violet is my modern fav that I have so many moments with my friends. sword and shield is alright for me.
As a classic pokemon guy, legends arceus was never my fav but yes it is good
I like 99% of these games a lot! Emerald will always be up there along with Black and white and HGSS :D
I appreciate it :D I am glad i could make someone laugh and spread some joy :D
I played Unova (which I think is Black/White?) this year and honestly so surprised I could enjoy a pokemon game. I duno if it's the best story but I def appreciate how concise the dialogue were. If it's just filler text, you waste very little time reading but if it's somewhat meaningful, I couldn't help but pause at how the message was delivered with such simplicity
I've only ever played gens 1-3 + the red/green remakes. What game would you recommend for me to check out?
Either Platinum or Black and white are a good place to start! After those X and Y are underrated and have good gimmicks that feel more like the modern games :D
While I'm still not the biggest fan of the Pokémon designs of Gen 4 onward, I still gotta admit Black and White have the best story and best villains of all games. It's tied with Emerald and Heart Gold/ SoulSilver as my favorite. I haven't played Black and White 2 yet, but if they're even better than their predecessors, they'd be my number 1, hands down!
#1 Emerald
#2 BW2
#3 HgSs
#4 Platinum
All easily top 4 games, put them in any order, but this is my preference.
(Truth be told I haven't played the ultra games, aside from the new DLCs, these and gen 1+2 are the only games I haven't played)
#10 SwSh- It has nothing to do with dexit or graphics, although those don't help it.
Solid list. Not my exact order, but I respect it
I appreciate you :)
7:19 Kyogre think he apart of the group
Gen 1,2, then 3, then whatever else.
I really like how there’s a Pokémon fan base, even nowadays. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside. But the first gens, particularly 1 and 2 ARE Pokémon.
Saw a copy of emerald at a game store yesterday for $275. Should I get it?
As an investment maybe not a bad idea, they have only gone up in value
How do we know if there legit apart from looking at them.
Theyres videos online that show you
When i was 11 i played gen 1 red and then yellow on GB and then GBC. Used to battled with friends and win them. Now im 36 and i downloaded emerald on a gba emulator on my smartphone. Having fun with emerald so far but im not that patient anymore as before. I also downloaded DS emulator and im going to try Platinum, only for the OST.
I like playing it and speeding up everything. All games before the 3DS feel pretty slow to play through without it.
I agree about the water, I think it’s did a good job making it less agitating
