I came across this bug this week as well - thanks for documenting! I reported it to Ableton and have been added to the ticket which is currently in the backlog (no timeline for a fix). I'd encourage anyone else who encounters this issue to also report it to Ableton to help get it pushed up in priority.
@@MGFaudio if i had to guess - they've probably messed up a formula somewhere and have a fix for it sitting there (an easy fix as you say). The problem could be if they roll out the fix it breaks a lot of content and projects created while the bug existed so they also have to update all that content and find a way to migrate projects to the fixed behaviour. The opportunity to do this would have been when releasing 12 as that required project migration. I agree there's no excuse not to just fix it - they can't leave it broken forever and the longer they leave it the longer the legacy of broken content.

still a problem in live 12, well after i reported it and got a response (which was before i even made this vid). surely it can't be that hard to fix!
