Just wanted to share some encouragement because I am now 28 weeks pregnant after IVF. I still remember what our fertility doctor said when we went in for our first appointment…
    1. It’s so brave that you and AJ are taking steps to find answers. It isn’t easy to schedule the first appointment.
Answers are your friend! Praying you guys get clarity and some helpful steps!

I had the same tests you had years ago too. It’s stressful for sure! I didn’t even get pregnant for a couple of years (using no birth control) that’s when we knew something was wrong. Finally after two miscarriages I went to another doctor she did a test to see my uterine wall with dye. I had scar tissue from the miscarriages after a surgery to clear it after three months of taking hormones I got pregnant with my daughter! Don’t give up! Miracles happen! My daughter is grown (27) now! I tell her she’s my miracle rainbow baby! 🤗🥰😍

So awesome that you guys are being proactive. Also sounds like you’re in good hands with your doctor because he’s doing some things right away instead of waiting a few months to see what happens. I did IUIs so I’m familiar with the fertility treatments. Wishing you guys so much success in this journey!

OMG, Rachel, I'm so happy you're talking about your appointments and TTC journey! And it's perfect timing because I went to my doctor last week and she gave me the same tests to do (I live in Romania, so it's cool to see the process is universal and we both get access to it). Thank you again, it's so nice to have someone go through the same thing and at the same time! ❤ can't wait for the results! fingers crossed for both news for both of us!

You're going to learn so much about yourself working with a fertility specialist. I've been working with mines for years. My doctor is so connected and responsive. Had an emergency where I landed in the hospital and they told me I would have to get my ovary removed but I was like i need to have a second opinion got into contact with him, he responded within an hour at midnight then I had an appointment within two days with a gyn. Have my ovaries fully intact. Only reason I'm not pregnant is because of my husband being abroad but happy to hear you're working with a specialist.

Yay for starting to see the fertility doctors, very proactive and awesome. Lowkey, so annoying that the lady shamed you and was like saying "oh but you're so young!!", that would have insulted me so much if I was in your shoes. Everyone always gives their unsolicited advice and it's really annoying like.... you know how old you are..... I recently got engaged (I'm 23) and whenever I tell people who are like older than 40, they are always like "oh don't you think you are too young? don't you want to experience life more??"It bothers me because like obviously I want to experience life, but with my HUSBAND. People are so annoying, but I'm happy you don't let it get to you. I would have been SO snarky to that lady.

I'm in my early thirties and spent most of last year at a fertility clinic after recurrent miscarriages. I had a lot of those tests done also. I do have to say I loved the fertility clinic. Everyone there was incredibly nice and comforting, and I felt super comfortable talking about my anxieties and concerns about being pregnant again. I wish I was able to spend my entire pregnancy with them.

I have the forward helix pierced and I won’t sugarcoat it, it took a while to heal. I don’t think I used anything but saline for mine either and I didn’t have too much drama with the healing haha but it got easily irritated so the biggest advice I can give is try your hardest not to sleep on it and keep your hair away from it as much as you can :)

GIRL there are these cotton swabs for piercings on amazon that have healed a piercing I had that was continuing to get re-infected!! They're called Dr. Piercing Aftercare Swabs - they're like $21.99. I tried SOOO many different things too and even after like 4 years my cartilage piercing gets inflamed but these always help it calm down and get back to normal! They've also helped minimizing a bump that was starting too!

8:23 I’m sorry that lady told you you were a baby. I am 24 and pregnant currently. I hate when people treat you like you’re too young. There’s no such thing as too young to test your fertility. Starting “young” is better. I’d say don’t listen to her but I know how it feels to be told you’re too young. I’m sorry 😢

    • @asr0520

For me, when someone told me I was “ young or too young” was because they didn’t think I needed to see a specialist for fertility. But not everyone has an easy time getting pregnant when they want to and that always bothered me when people said that.
