Rachel, I just had to comment on your emotional maturity when talking about your guestroom. I admire that you can recognize the blessing of having that space and guests to stay but also acknowledge the pain of not using it for what you expected/hoped. It's not easy to balance feeling grateful in a situation like that without turning it into toxic positivity. Kudos for feeling your feelings but not letting them overtake you. I used to hate gloomy days too until one day my bf told me “every day is beautiful” and the way he said it changed my perspective. Now I love gloomy & rainy days as much as I love sunny days. Plus, on gloomy days I can be lazy and unproductive without feeling guilty (can never do that when sunny outside) 🤍🤍

Our house was infested with fruit flies too! It took a few days to get rid of them but...I put bowls in every room put vinegar and honey in the bowl (the honey attracts them) cover the bowls with plastic wrap and punch a bunch of holes (i used tip of paper clip to poke holes.) They go into the holes and then drown in the vinegar because they can't find their way out. We have 3 levels to our house and it worked!

I get eczema and psoriasis flare ups and taking omega 3 (fish oil) really helps.

I and my son have eczema and we noticed eliminating gluten helped. I actually have no eczema anymore. My son still eats glue on on occasion, so he gets flareups. I don’t have an allergy to gluten, but I do notice that it affects my skin in different ways and eczema is like a huge one.
I know feeling sometimes my hair likes just breakout an I tried everything even doctor medicine 🙄 It frustrating thing for sure
This could be it! I do eat a lot of bread. I went gluten free in highschool for six months and it was so hard 💀
Look up salicylate free diet. This eliminated my son's eczema. Remember it's usually what we eat causing eczema.
I SECOND THIS!! After years of weird rashes and them getting worse in my 20s, derms only gave me steroid creams and meds that made them worse. My ND said 90% of skin issues can be traced back to a gluten problem… BAM! Not even a month after giving up gluten and it was insane difference. I’m now 7 months in and have yet to get one rash or patch! And @rachel it’s hard mostly to eat on the go, I’ve found most restaurants and places to have full gf menus or at least lots of options. If you focus on mostly Whole foods it’s not too bad.. and gf pasta and bread taste almost identical to the real stuff :)

Thank you for sharing the verse and your thoughts on it. My family and I got hit with this viral cold going around. Honestly since I’m not able to do things I normally do. Overthinking and negative thoughts is what I’m struggling with at the moment. I really try to stay away from gossiping or if it starts I catch on it and stop lol. But yea I never really think of it that way also that thinking about this and that about a person is kinda like gossiping
Also last night when I was having these negative thoughts. I had to take those thoughts captive and obedient to Christ and I was able to sleep peacefully

I got a couch for my nursery and wish it was a bed! My baby gets sick and it would be so much more comfortable to sleep in a bed in there. Maybe you could be thinking to get that bed for guests but eventually for the nursery too?? ❤

Girl the next time you gotta open the biscuit can, peel back the wrapper and line the perforation with the edge of your counter and bang it against it 🤣 that’s what I do and it gets the job done with much less anxiety!

I have kept all four of my babies in a crib in my bedroom for about the first year of their lives, so you can totally have a baby and a guest room! I’m a lazy bum though 😂 I don’t want to get far out of bed to nurse my little ones and neither am I a decorator of nurseries.

I think the only reason your home comes across as "sterile" to a lot of people is your flooring, which was probably already there when you bought the house if I had to assume? Otherwise, I think it just looks very nice and minimal and if you like it, who cares what the other people think! If you had hardwood or vinyl wood flooring, it would warm it up a lot ! (not saying you have to do that lol)
