It doesn’t have to be perfect, Nature, by nature, is not always perfect or even symmetrical. Most human faces, one side is different than the other. That’s what makes it beautiful.
Delicate and beautiful. Thank you. Blessings
So glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you for taking the time to write and encourage me
I just found out your channel and I think I just found pure gold, your art is very beautiful, it inspired me, thank you so much! Hope you have a good day😊

Thank you, Connie!! You have been a ray of sunshine with your encouragement this week!
What should we paint next? Some bumble bees? Another butterfly? Flowers??

Love this one too! So much fun watching your videos. Learning so much. Thank you for sharing!!!!! 💐
So glad you are enjoying them!! I have a few more butterflies scheduled for this year and I hope you love them just as much!!
Do you have an example of a larger scale complex butterfly? I'm currently trying to figure out how to paint a Papillio Machaon butterfly scaled with 8" wing spread by 6" length. This is a very complicated butterfly with blended color textures that I have yet to match. It seems you need just the right type pigments to get that grainy color blend.
Unfortunately this is the only tutorial I have for this butterfly.
I recommend using a smaller detail brush if you want that kind of detail. It will definitely take patience and several passes (layers) if you want the grainy look, but can definitely be done! I’ve been using Daniel Smith’s Hematite Genuine lately, which is a granular watercolor pigment. You can try that. It’s a warm dark color that I often use for black
Lovely butterfly. Dragonfly next or frog
Oooh! I didn’t even think of a dragon fly! Great idea!
Wonderful
Thank you so much! Hope it was helpful
@@katrinacrouch keep doing
good👍👏👏
What kind of paper do you use? I’ve tried both Arches cold press and hot press and wasn’t really happy with either.
I used Strathmore 300 series cold press for this. It’s more affordable than Arches and I miiiight like it better! But I also learned on this paper so it just feels “right”
Wonderful tutorial and the music was nice... the first time. By the 11th repeat I was like whyyyyyy?????
RUclips audio library has free database of royalty free songs. I think videos such as this would be improved with no music. Your voice is so soothing but the music became grating and I felt like I was spinning on a never ending marry-go round. Lmao not trying to be mean just giving some constructive video advice.
Trying something new last year-I don’t usually use music at all now
Fun fact she is painting a papilio machaon not a tiger swallowtail
I should ask you the names of future butterflies! You’re better than Google 🤣

Oh, thank you for the feedback! 🥰🥰🥰
I agree the background music is annoying, so repetitive.
It was a failed experiment, hah! My new videos feature only my own annoying voice ;)
Excelent tutorial- but would have been better without the music. It is not necessary, just distracting.
I have since cut the music out-thank you for being patient with my exploration during the first year or so of my RUclips channel!
I loved the tutorial, but found the background music very annoying.
Sorry to hear that
