Love you both, and loving the way y’all are willing to just go with the flow - we’ll be happy to see Allison when she’s back, but we’ve all been in stitchy slumps and we’re all for her doing what she needs at the moment. (And hope she’s feeling better soon too)
Wonderful update Stephanie! I love that you’re stitching a piece in memory of your sweet girl, Lucy. That will be special indeed. The storms were definitely doing their job here, weren’t they? We didn’t have to get in the shelter, but we were prepared to more than once. ⛈️🌪️☔️
Don't worry you got my name right! And thank you for the mention! I feel you on the needing to catch up on flosstube. I may not have kids but that's something I've been struggling with too❤
Thank you for the bday wishes ❤ Ohhh I have the girl in the snow pattern. I thought it was so cool. Also thought about doing it on a Navy fabric to look more like sky. It’s so pretty. 😊 Your projects are coming along! Hope Allison feels better soon.
Stephanie, if 123Stitch sent you the wrong color they will replace it for you free of charge. Just send them an email explaining what you ordered vs. what you received. It happened to me once on a big dmc order. They were very nice and sent the correct item out immediately at no charge to me and was told to just keep what they mistakenly sent. Great video!
I started Turkey Day this week on the called for fabric, which is a 40 count linen. It's so pretty, but I have to stitch it with a magnifying glass. This is probably my first, last, and only time stitching on 40 count linen! ⛈️⛈️⛈️
About the only thing I miss from the Midwest (other than getting to root in person for the Chiefs and the Royals!) are thunderstorms. I so loved listening to yours as it rolled in!! I'm sending you a DM on IG about that Black Walnut silk!! ⛈⛈🌩
I think since the top half of Christmas Elegance is only sky your fabric won't be a problem. That would have really annoyed me though if I discovered a piece of fabric was like that 🙄. Something for me to watch out for in the future for sure! The Artsy Housewife project will be the perfect way to honor Lucy 💔
I am backlogged and haven't finished y'all's q&a video yet but I am so so sorry for your loss ❤❤ I love your choice for your memorial piece! The timing of the thunder after you used the word "macabre" was too perfect lol ⛈⛈ And absolutely I co-sign the bag as a friend gift 😂💕
Don't know if you already considered this and decided it wouldn't help, but regarding the fabric that was not pulled true before it was cut, when you are done stitching, I wonder if you could gain a precious smidgen of fabric by gently removing the serging thread at that edge. Then use a liquid fray product or support it on the back with tape (or both) before framing it. I would let 123stitch know about this. They won't want it to happen to someone else. If they have more of this fabric, they can pull it true before selling it (takes two people), and they can let the supplier know what happened. They might even offer you a little something in compensation.
Stephanie, I am so sorry for your loss. I celebrate your stitching plans to commemorate Lucy and the project will help you through the grieving process. That was quite a storm and you didn’t even lose power. Thank you for sharing. Give Allison my love. 🌊
I am throwing my two cents: Toss what you have done on "Christmas Elegance" and re-start it on another fabric in the right size that makes you happy. You are only 1,000 stitches into it which in the history of stitching you've done and the years of stitching awaiting you in this lifetime - 1,000 stitches is insignificant. You will continue to be frustrated, and angry about the slant in the fabric and not having followed you own guidelines. This pattern is too special not to fully enjoy the process and the finish once completed.

Fun fabric choice for the water lily dragon! I got my daughter singing the witches’ road song too lol. It was stuck in my head for days and days
And thank you for the mentions!

The thunder and its perfect dramatic timing!😮
Was just gonna mention how it adds to the mood lol
