Dave is so missed his way of teacher was amazing and easy to follow and after a lick or riff or part of solo he would always say "like that" bless him
I love this song. Dave was a masters tutor. 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Awesome, love the accuracy and the chord diagrams
Outstanding work.
Thanks Dave.... Love that strat!
Cheers Alan it's my main gigging guitar.
Excellent. Thanks a lot!
Awesome Video and Quality, thank you!

You're welcome Marcel!
Thank you very much!
Spot on ❤
Dave, "You Still Got It",
Perfect !!!
Thanks!!!
thanks
Thx.Cool!
I was searching for this and as im typing it out I'm thinking 'ain't no one gonna have this up, am I mad'?
Lo!
Studio: x6466x ; ××4446 ; xx646x ; xx677x ;
Live: x6466x ; ××4446 ; xx6466 ; xx(6)777 ;
Indeed the fourth chord sounds augmented to the B heard in the bass before it but I think it also has a tritone sound in it, hence the xx677x instead of xx877x, even if the voice rather follows the latter.
Though, I saw a glimpse in a live video and it looked like 6x6777 but sounded like xxx777 . Who knows ? Great tune !! Thanks for the tutorial !!
great comment thank you! Ive been playing x6466x :: xx9876 :: x6466x :: x6677x :: x6466x for the longest time now :D
no wonder the bass player hates me XD
@@paulmortimer-jones3308 lol
Great video Dave!
Would be great if you can make a video for the song 'Overnight' from Parcels
Excellent!
2:58 A minor suggestion (pun!): Instead of playing the Bb7b9 (xx646x) every round, alternate it with Bb7/9 (xx656x), in fact starting with Bb7/9: With this change you follow more what the keys are playing, giving it that characteristic "modal interchange" sound.
(If you read the xx646x Bb7b9 as Fm7b5 and the xx656x as Fm7 instead (both lacking bass F), it explains the pun "minor".)
Good one! Keys plays Fm7 :-)
That is it
TOP!
Fab
the third chord is more an Ab6, at least that's how bass puts it in context, before moves to Bb7aug. Really thought-out stuff
Hi Dave great lesson. Was wondering do you use a compressor on your amp set up? What are your clean settings? Thanks
Thanks. Yes I generally use a compressor and a Fender Twin amp model on the Helix on these tunes.
@@DavePriceGuitarist Thanks for reply mate
👍
Hi Dave, thanx for the lesson! Am I the only one to be struggling with the first chord?
To make a Ebm9 easier just use 3rd finger on A string, 1st finger on D string and then let the pinky rest across G and B - and when strumming dont hit the E strings. Hitting the top E (forming a Ab) is not the end of the world as it sounds in key just a little much.
@@bartlettpsj Thanx for the advice!
Yes great strat - a very strat sounding strat. What is it - custom shop?
Not a custom shop but a 2011 Fender Deluxe HSS Stratocaster
@@DavePriceGuitarist Coincidentally I have a 2011 Fender Delux Strat but has 3 SSS Noiseless N3. I'm going to change pickups soon to C/S. Do u know what u have in there?
Just to stock pick ups. N3s I think. Sorry for the late reply, I have only just seen this one.
Easier than the Bass line 😉
The chord progression changes halfway through the song, using different voicings. Have you managed to figure that out? I can’t get it for the life of me
