Hi, thank you for your lesson, I was captivated by the funky licks, and during the quarantine I'm trying to learn this amazing rhythm. Greeting from Buenos Aires.
Love this video. Can never go wrong with some chunky Nile Rogers. By the way, you must have your amp set extra bright because you're real sparkly bright on the neck pickup.

My friend. When I get some extra funds to request a lesson from you, I will contact you and make it possible. Heads ups, the artist is Etta James. Soon my friend.
biggest problem with 16th note strumming: not at all the rhythm, but the pick slipping. Please is anyone has advice! I've been trying to perfect this for so long already

Hi Dave, Nice production ... easy to follow. I love learning Chic songs even if on a Yamaha acoustic guitar (shows my age).
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks. Treble is around 6, middle at 5 and bass at around 3-4. I used a Fender twin amp model on the Helix which tends to be a bright sounding amp.
@@DavePriceGuitarist Awesome work Sir!
Cheers!
Always great I really don't understand why RUclips doesn't push these videos out.
Push out videos?
@@mindcontrol67 yeah RUclips decides what videos you see or dont
@@mraggrovator So your saying there are videos on you tube I cant see. Like they are blocked from my channel.

Very nice lesson! What is the best method to scratch the notes?
Dave you are awesome, but I am struggling with the last licks at the end of the video, can you help me with what exactly your doing? Please
Nice lesson . Where would disco be without m7ths & 9ths ? ( Bar 4 is missing the F in the tab btw) .

Cheers Roy, look forward to it.

A common problem. Using a pick with some grip like the Dunlop Tortex range can help. Sometimes I lick my fingers if they go dry and slippery.
