I originally posted that it was a "nice song" however, it's like peeling an onion, the more I listen to this song the more I hear. The rhythm seems to have three personalities, there is the calmness that persists in the beginning, then there is a slightly elevated tone only for it to become totally frantic as the song picks up it's stride. Finally, I love the story that's being conveyed. The story of expectations never being realized is prominent throughout this entire song. There is a lot here for the listener to absorb and unpack. Listening only once is not enough to soak in everything that was presented.
Picking a Cranberries song was really hard, they're one of those groups where you can just play their albums and hear all good songs. You are such an attentive listener, you make me notice things I sometimes didn't. Thank you!
