I’m not claustrophobic, but my problem with MRIs are the fact that you can’t breathe very well when they’re running, and asphyxiation is one of my biggest fears, so that’s what makes me start to get a bit upset. Also, I would think that asking those who might live with or be in regular contact with him if they are sick or not would be an early step to eliminate environmental causes…
“Brain scan, unremarkable” reminds me of when the primary was looking over my CT and said “gallbladder unremarkable” and I said “well I’d hope so considering I don’t have one” 😂😂😂 poor nurse stopped, doubled checked my name to make sure they had the right file, and said the Dr must have just skimmed past it because they’re typically fine 🤣 bro what!?
I recall my last episode in an MRI... The nurse asked me if I was claustrophobic while we were wheeling down the hall... Being a caver who's been "pinched" long enough for the headlamp to die, I said, "maybe a little"... and we had the whole stupid conversation about coping and closing eyes and speaking up before I have a freak out... AND then we wheel into the room... I burst out laughing... AND of course she can't help cracking a smile, and asked what the deal was... To whit, I said, "I thought you meant it was seriously restrictive or something... THAT thing is a joke. It's like laying in a stadium in there... hahahaha..." SO... we get through the whole thing, no problem... AND she probes about "If the MRI's a joke, what makes you claustrophobic?" SO I explained my foray into a cave and getting stuck in the middle of a belly crawl when a rock snagged my D-ring (because part of this cave was vertical... so harness)... AND my headlamp died while I was waiting for the group to get back to me with a rope... leaving me alone in the dark, and compressed under a rock for around 4 or 5 hours... By the time we got to my room, she looked worse than I did... We shared a chuckle about it, and she assured me that I was completely out of my right mind for even ever going underground, let alone into places like that... Though she did admit we were kind of heroes mapping out places where kids can get lost so rescuers have a decent chance to find them... As long as we're down there for "fun", we might as well put our lunacy to some good... I guess. AND yeah, some of us "lunatics" DO go just to practice all the techniques and gain certifications so we CAN go on rescues... SO every trip's more than just an adrenaline fueled misadventure... ;o)

I’m not a caver but same here. I’ve worked in theaters that sometimes have work places and passages you need to squeeze past, plus I always loved being in hollow trees and making closet nests as a kid so the MRI machine wasn’t even a thing. The only reason I closed my eyes was because there was nothing else to look at so I figured I’d get a bit of a nap in. 😅
When I had an MRI several years back, I almost fell asleep in there, I was staring at an imperfection in the paintwork inside the tube and just started drifting off, the rhythmic sound of the machine was surprisingly quite relaxing for me... :P
Hi Jordan! Love your content. As a neurosurgeon we see a lot of people with this complains, so when the patient said the tinglings on their appendages I thought: "Oh noes... it's amyotrophic lateral sclerosis". Good thing it wasn't that!
When I head problem with pain in my teeth, Tinnitus and backbain, it was a pharmacist who told me, that many people got a lack of Magnesium, since we don't really have that much of it in our usual diet. Magenesium is pretty important for the body to work, including muscles and when you got a deficit over a long time, it can push symptomes like that, cramps of muscles, which can spread out a lot (for example the muscles on your back partly reach cross over your neck up to both ears - and are very sensitive when it comes to stress, too), what can for example lead to pain in your teeth, headaches and Tinnitus - or even tickliing in your arms and legs, from such cramps. Often enough it's simply a bad diet, or not even bad, just that you eat stuff that is overall fine, but lacks in certain departments and this piles up over time. Vitamin D is a nother big thing. Many peopel don't see much sunlight and in winter it just gets worse and this also can have such an impact on your whole body, without someting actually being wrong with you (like a tumor).
5:22 i had to be inside an MRI machine once. It sucked. But not for the reasons you might think. The loud noises weren't much of an issue, they just changed .1 seconds before I fell asleep. If it would've changed constantly, no problem. If it changed slightly slower, no problem. But it was right in that valley where it was awful.
Only time I've ever been in an MRI is when I had a seizure in around 7th, right in the middle of gym class. I had been feeling kinda bad all day, but around lunch time I had horrible headache, breathing was hard, my eyes wouldn't focus so everything was blurry (and as a person with glasses, the fear of becoming blind is strong). Gym was right after lunch. We change into uniforms yada yada, and the couch has us all seated so he can explain rules of a game. I don't remember what game, as I was busy trying to remember to breathe. My chest felt constricted everything was blurry. Eventually, my friend sitting next to me notices. She says something, maybe asking if I'm okay or what was wrong, idk. Can't understand really. Then she grabs my arm, pulls me to the teacher and tells him she's taking me to the nurse. Teacher takes one look at me and immediately agrees. My friend, pulling me along, takes a few steps and the next thing I know I'm on the ground. I hear voices freaking out, the teacher is holding my head with my head in his lap and he's mentioning for my friend to go. I black out again, do that many, many times. Each time I come to, there's new people around or something new going on. Friend brought the nurse and some other teachers/staff. All my classmates are being rushed out of the gym. Medical people, asking me things but I can't understand. A young guy is grabbing my hand and pricks my finger against a machine, but that scares me really bad and I try to pull away. I start throwing up and they push me onto my side, making me vomit into all my hair. Smelled so bad. I was so confused and scared that I was crying and trying to ask what was going on, but nobody understood (was later told I was screaming nonsense and random noises). They pick me up and put me on a stretcher. Suddenly in an ambulance, people standing next to me, watching. The loud sirens of the ambulance scare me, but I don't understand what's going on. I'm in a wheelchair. Fuzzy memories of hospital bed, family around me, questions I don't understand. Finally I'm awake enough and a nurse or doctor is telling my parents about getting a scan of my brain to see if it was a tumor or something. Wheelchair is back, I'm taken to the MRI. The guy there slowly explains what the MRI is, what's going to happen, ect. He says the machine is loud, and would I like to listen to music? I nod, and he lists on some options. I choose Imagine Dragons. I'm laid onto the bed of the machine, the guy hands me this little pump thing and tells me if I need to come out, squeeze it and the machine will stop and he'll pull me out. The headphones don't do shit. The machine is so loud I never even hear the music. I'm back to having short bursts of passing out and coming to, figments of dreams, hard to breathe again, reminding myself to breathe. I think the loud noise of the machine makes me have a nightmare and I freak out, but pass out again. I guess that burst of emotion ruined the scans, so I had to be pulled out and the scan restarted. This time, the volume of the music is increased but I end up sleeping through it anyways. Back in the hospital bed, my family around me talking to me. I'm so tired I just fall asleep and wake up for a while until I'm finally discharged and can be brought home. I never got an answer to what caused the seizure. My parents also don't know for sure. I do have fainting spells from time to time, but nothing as bad as that seizure, thank goodness
Ah yes, the wonders of the US healthcare system, you either spend your life fortune to not die, or spend your life fortune because big insurance said no.
I feel lucky that I haven't been sick for almost 25 years. I hate being sick. More than most people I think. It kills me mentally as well as physically.
The last time I had to go to the hospital for something major, they didn't tell me they weren't sure what I had, but the answer they gave me felt as if they said it to make me happy. I was having bad abdominal pain one morning and even passed out in the bathroom. Didn't throw up, to my relief. Family rushed me to the ER where they did some tests thinking it was appendicitis. It thankfully wasn't, but their diagnosis was gas blocking my colon. I'm not saying they were wrong, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around gas being the reason behind that much pain.
I feel the end bit of this video, being passed from doctor to doctor with no idea whats wrong with you. It took nearly 10 years to finally discover why I had pain equivalent to appendicitis and even heart attacks. Had nearly every procedure under the sun, endoscopy, colonoscopy, multiple heart monitors, multiple x-rays, multiple CT scans, etc....all before the age of 21 lol. We FINALLY found it after a nurse made an off comment about checking for something extremely rare shes only seen with a handful of people, and bam, sure enough it was that. Thankfully it was all mental, so with a bit of personal physical therapy I've moved on and its not as big a problem.
I used to watch the AristoCats every time I was sick. I don't know about appendicitis, but I can tell you that pancreatitis hurts like hell. I like MRI's though. I pretend like I'm at an alien rock concert, but they've used their alien zapper to paralyze me, so no dancing.
How about reacting to Craig of the Creek cartoon with episode examples like: Itch to Explore- J.P. affected by poison ivy & the trio getting hurt after landing hard on the ground I Don't Need a Hat- Craig getting too cold Turning the Tables- Kelsey getting a black eye etc.
I recently had an MRI done on my brain. It actually wasn’t too bad - aside from the fact they needed contrast and missed my vein 6 or 7 times over three locations (I was a very bruised human pincushion by the end) and my shoulders were uncomfortable, but since I couldn’t move I just kind of kept forcing myself to relax and then tensing up again, over and over. They did find a tumour, so at least it wasn’t for nought. I also live in a country with a good healthcare system, so it didn’t cost anything.
Worse time I was in the hospital was when I was 7 and got diagnosed with ITP. I had somehow cut my toe and would not scab over. Doctors said my lowest platelet count was 400. Got my spleen taken out to halt it (cause it’s idiopathic) and I’m all good now, just can’t take NSAID medications
When I watched this, I was like "um... is he going to be diagnosed with MS...?" cause - apart from the "brain: unremarkable", it was exactly this chain of events for me...
my mother had these same symptoms and it got so bad that she almost couldn't walk. The doctors were like "we don't know" and my mother went through the same steps as Ice cream sandwich, n times even. Now it is much better, she can walk again but not run because the whole cause was her neck.
I once woke up in an MRI machine after fainting at my doctor's office (blood draw and I had skipped lunch). I saw where I was and just thought, "so this is what it's like. I shouldn't move." Then went back to sleep/passed out again. It was a fun/interesting experience, and I've been scared of fainting and needles ever since.
Bruh, what kinda childhoods did you have where you were allowed to go home and watch TV when you were sick? If I wasn't literally hospitalised, all I got was "If you're well enough for [literally anything] you're well enough to go to school."
I had a seizure and suffer from EDS, My last MRI with 4 fractured thoracic vertebrae she strapped me down tightly I couldn’t breathe without her restarting the test. I finally told her to loosen me and first try I was able to finish everything.
I feel like really sick and when you mentioned “if your body like moves or smtn” i realized when i was playing doors on door 50 inside and out i was shaking literally
"They tried a million meds and" they strapped me to their beds and they shrugged and told me 'that's the way it goes. When finally you hit it, I asked you just what did it, You shrugged and said that no one really knows."
I remember when I got a MRI. I had to get a scan for my left wrist and the back of my hand because there are some lumps there. They didn’t give me any music, but it was pretty comfortable in there. I could probably sleep there if I didn’t need to stand still or clamp my arm into a machine thing.
I feel like that’s such a problem when you become an adult, health anxiety. I’m to the point where I wait awhile before going to the doctor because it could be my anxiety getting to me
0:42 - 0:54 Oh i didnt know rushing to the restroom and vomiting IN PERIOD 1 AND the passing period OF period 2 AND ON TOP OF THAT DYING TO DEATH IN THE NURSES OFFICE A N D SUFFERING ON THE DRIVE HOME!!!!!! came with its own perks (in case you couldent tell I lost more than sanity that day in 8th grade)
The worst time I've ever had at a hospital was needing to get an MRI scan of my entire spine and brain, they said it would take 6 hours for non contrast and then another 4 for contrast, I did the 6 hour one and couldn't take it anymore and they said it's ok we don't need the contrast that bad,I fell asleep in the mri a few times
After my knee surgery there were some hiccups in my recovery so I was temporarily living at my grandma's house and I had nurses come in twice a day to help me get dressed/ washed/ etc. They were really nice, but I was so embarrassed at first because some of them were my age and they had to help me shower and everything
I went through this process due to my limbs going numb. Blood flow was fine so I went to a neurologist. 1 MRI scan later and nothing found XD I later discovered the problem on my own. Symptoms got worse after bath day. Well I lay down in the tub and the back of the tub has a corner that was hitting my spine at just the right place to cause nerve pinching. So now I use a little bath pillow if the tub has one of those back bits there.
I have regular MRI's due to my medications and epilepsy, Mine actually has a mirror that you can actually see the doctor behind the window. Im at the point where I can fall asleep in there.
It’d be super interesting to see you do a video about Ice Cream Sandwich’s experience with ADHD medication! He seemed to have a really strange reaction, I’d love to hear a doctor talk about it o:

Hey hey! My paresthesia two years ago was an MS relapse. Partially lost sense of touch in left side of my neck, left arm, left side of abdomen, and left leg for about two and a half months. Now my left foot and hand just go a lil tingly when it's warm out or I'm in a hot shower (which for me is every shower 😅).
Could you react to Coyote Peterson aka Brave Wilderness?? He’s the guy who stings and hurts himself with a bunch of exotic bugs and animals for research purposes. Like the bullet ant, tarantula hawk, warrior wasp and more.
I would like to see you react to Home Sweet Home Alone. Especially when Jeff McKenzie got hit square on the forehead with a Pool Ball Gun, when Pam and Jeff (they are married) fell into a pool in the winter in Chicago, and when Pam McKenzie feet caught on fire. (The DVD sometimes can be found on Etsy (currently sold out) and it is also on Disney Plus).
In México where I live in when I get sick. My parents arent ALWAYS at Home they are always at work and they always force me to go to School. Because they don't want me to fail classes. They are not strict or Anything that's how México is.
That's why I like living in Canada, all that process of trying to figure out if you brain is ok is free. paid 0 dollars but wasted a lot of time to be told idk what your problem is.
I remember getting appendicitis but that ended being a ruptured appendix, I suffered almost a week in pain and my mom thought it was a flu or covid flu something like that.
I do not know what country you live in, but where I'm at parents/guardians must be present during a childs medical exam and most entry level employers don't allow sick leave (they do on paper)or vacation and you get heavily penalized or fired for calling out even if it's 2 hours or more in advance.
Story of my life haha Years of randomised chronic, crippling upper abdominal pains So far, nothing has come up as major concern tests wise, I do have GERD tho, and a mild hiatal hernia. (which I'm grateful for! that there's no major concerns) But also w h a t the heck is it then 🤯😂 I've been told at this point, it could simply be my mental illnesses manifesting intense physical symptoms
Do you have to stay awake during an MRI? The tip of having your eyes closed during the scan would just cause me to fall asleep. I can't really think of a time I had my eyes closed that long without falling asleep 😂
I want to know if they did a blood or urine test for diabetes I know Andy (and these are his exact words) can be a bit square brained and possibly forgot to mention the basic testing But I find it hard to believe the doctors went straight to mri and ct scans My first though when I saw this video was diabetes since my grandma was a diabetes specialist and given his diet I thought that was were it was going to go
I think you should react to Daidus' newest video "I can't talk of hear" as well. Similar vibes to ICS and I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject of the video :)
My friend gets yearly MRIs because he has a brain tumor abd 2 eye tomor which can't be removed because it will cause more problems then it would help. The tumours are not growing right now that is known but his that the place he goes to they put ear plugs in head phones and this contraption over his head that has a mirror in it that reflects a movie of his choice from a list.
Am I claustrophobic? Only when I'm moving fast. I can crawl into very tight spaces and be fine for extended periods until what I was doing is complete, but me going at a full sprint I refuse to go between cars or a car and a wall.
uh, why does that take 1h? mine took 15 minutes and i had a concussion with a little bit of blood - as im claustrophobic they gave me a sleeping mask and headphones, it was still something i wouldnt want to do again :'D
I twisted my knee once and when I got it scanned to see if any muscles were torn the guy asked me what songs I like and I said fnaf so I got to listen to a fnaf playlist and disassociate.
doctor I wanted to ask you a question because I no longer trust the internet I am 17 years old and I still drink milk every day I take a cup in the morning and another in the afternoon the question, can drinking milk every day do me any harm?
I've gone through an MRI once, and they offered me headphones as well... and they didn't fit together with me into the machine. It's easy for me to relax, so I had no particular issues in either case, but... I don't think I have a particularly fat head or something? Are the headphones just adjusted for people with minimum cranial structures or...?
Had a mri a few months ago i don't mind small spaces but im fat lol so my arms were touching the sides of the machine and it was literally burning my arms and the guy was just telling me to endure it so i did but i still constantly moved they barely got the scans and when i got home both arms was dark ish red and a cold shower never felt so good but painful lol

I Don't Need a Hat- Craig getting too cold
Turning the Tables- Kelsey getting a black eye
etc.
What country are YOU living in?
They did a good job of infotainment, reminds me of ASAP science. Surely would love the series 😊
I feel like really sick and when you mentioned “if your body like moves or smtn” i realized when i was playing doors on door 50 inside and out i was shaking literally
"They tried a million meds and"
they strapped me to their beds and
they shrugged and told me 'that's the way it goes.
When finally you hit it,
I asked you just what did it,
You shrugged and said that no one really knows."
I remember when I got a MRI. I had to get a scan for my left wrist and the back of my hand because there are some lumps there. They didn’t give me any music, but it was pretty comfortable in there. I could probably sleep there if I didn’t need to stand still or clamp my arm into a machine thing.
Do more of these! This was great!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed this Ice Cream Sandwich reaction!
Brewstew request:trampoline specifically talking about drop kick
I feel like that’s such a problem when you become an adult, health anxiety. I’m to the point where I wait awhile before going to the doctor because it could be my anxiety getting to me
Lol love these! Hope we get to see you do more😁
0:42 - 0:54 Oh i didnt know rushing to the restroom and vomiting IN PERIOD 1 AND the passing period OF period 2 AND ON TOP OF THAT DYING TO DEATH IN THE NURSES OFFICE A N D SUFFERING ON THE DRIVE HOME!!!!!! came with its own perks
(in case you couldent tell I lost more than sanity that day in 8th grade)
The worst time I've ever had at a hospital was needing to get an MRI scan of my entire spine and brain, they said it would take 6 hours for non contrast and then another 4 for contrast, I did the 6 hour one and couldn't take it anymore and they said it's ok we don't need the contrast that bad,I fell asleep in the mri a few times
I love that he said "resident comic boy"
When I got my MRI, they had to restrain me, and the MRI machine had a TV inside. I was sitting there for an hour watching Billy Madison.
After my knee surgery there were some hiccups in my recovery so I was temporarily living at my grandma's house and I had nurses come in twice a day to help me get dressed/ washed/ etc. They were really nice, but I was so embarrassed at first because some of them were my age and they had to help me shower and everything
5:04 my brain immediately recognized edgerunners there
glad im not the only one
I went through this process due to my limbs going numb.
Blood flow was fine so I went to a neurologist. 1 MRI scan later and nothing found XD
I later discovered the problem on my own.
Know what's crazy? I've been watching some of his videos as of recent especially the sick ones and I've been thinking of this exact react video idea. Why didn't I say it sooner🤣
3:14 once my thumb was tingly. For a couple of days. I think it was dehydration, of those said.
Fell asleep in the MRI, was a new mum with an 8 week of baby at home and a 2 year old. 🙃
I had appendicitis and they only removed half of my appendix. Most of it was fine apparently, but the end of it was about to burst
I was sick and went to the nurse once. They gave me goldfish and sent me back to class lol.
Doctors: try-harding to save someone's life
Doctor ER: reacting to vids 😎
Could you react to Coyote Peterson aka Brave Wilderness?? He’s the guy who stings and hurts himself with a bunch of exotic bugs and animals for research purposes. Like the bullet ant, tarantula hawk, warrior wasp and more.
Hey Doc thanks for the suggestion to close my eyes for an MRI. I’ll try that next time I have one.
“Heads into the office in CDC level hazmat*
Loved this reaction
In México where I live in when I get sick. My parents arent ALWAYS at Home they are always at work and they always force me to go to School. Because they don't want me to fail classes. They are not strict or Anything that's how México is.
MRI there always need to strap me down if it takes longer because it's the perfect white noise machine and i always fall asleep
For anybody else that came down here to see if anybody commented on the cyberpunk image they showed
he is my fav animated RUclipsr
My mom yells at me for wasting her time instead of helping me out when I'm sick-
That's why I like living in Canada, all that process of trying to figure out if you brain is ok is free. paid 0 dollars but wasted a lot of time to be told idk what your problem is.
I'd rather just get earplugs for the MRI instead of music headphones. I literally almost fell asleep in the tube.
Story of my life haha
Years of randomised chronic, crippling upper abdominal pains
So far, nothing has come up as major concern tests wise, I do have GERD tho, and a mild hiatal hernia. (which I'm grateful for! that there's no major concerns) But also w h a t the heck is it then 🤯😂
I've been told at this point, it could simply be my mental illnesses manifesting intense physical symptoms
Do you have to stay awake during an MRI? The tip of having your eyes closed during the scan would just cause me to fall asleep. I can't really think of a time I had my eyes closed that long without falling asleep 😂
Could you react to Brave Wilderness that will be insane.
I want to know if they did a blood or urine test for diabetes
I know Andy (and these are his exact words) can be a bit square brained and possibly forgot to mention the basic testing
But I find it hard to believe the doctors went straight to mri and ct scans
My first though when I saw this video was diabetes since my grandma was a diabetes specialist and given his diet I thought that was were it was going to go
Is he trying to sound like ice cream sandwich LOL
I think you should react to Daidus' newest video "I can't talk of hear" as well. Similar vibes to ICS and I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject of the video :)
Link in reply cuz anti-link filters exist and I don't like risking the comment deleted :)

My friend gets yearly MRIs because he has a brain tumor abd 2 eye tomor which can't be removed because it will cause more problems then it would help. The tumours are not growing right now that is known but his that the place he goes to they put ear plugs in head phones and this contraption over his head that has a mirror in it that reflects a movie of his choice from a list.
i was never offered music for my mri
Am I claustrophobic? Only when I'm moving fast. I can crawl into very tight spaces and be fine for extended periods until what I was doing is complete, but me going at a full sprint I refuse to go between cars or a car and a wall.
i have the BEST video idea for you;
you should definitely react to medical related emergencies in survivor the show
Yeah, being sick in the past is awesome, but with Covid (which is not a big deal anymore), being sick became scary
uh, why does that take 1h? mine took 15 minutes and i had a concussion with a little bit of blood - as im claustrophobic they gave me a sleeping mask and headphones, it was still something i wouldnt want to do again :'D
I twisted my knee once and when I got it scanned to see if any muscles were torn the guy asked me what songs I like and I said fnaf so I got to listen to a fnaf playlist and disassociate.
He also recently did a Video talking about getting an ADHD Diagnosis
If that's something you can comment on
mine tingle when i dont eat lol
5:07 this would be me
doctor I wanted to ask you a question because I no longer trust the internet I am 17 years old and I still drink milk every day I take a cup in the morning and another in the afternoon the question, can drinking milk every day do me any harm?
dang i hate my dad, (hes my only parent). That happened to me once and they were like "just deal with it, it sucks.
i have a idea on what you should react to!(incase you havent yet)dr livesey walking
the "hurt" video may be interesting
id say most people spend their sick days.. being sick. or taking care of family emergencies or the like.
Had a mri a few months ago i don't mind small spaces but im fat lol so my arms were touching the sides of the machine and it was literally burning my arms and the guy was just telling me to endure it so i did but i still constantly moved they barely got the scans and when i got home both arms was dark ish red and a cold shower never felt so good but painful lol
sick days? lol mine don't give sick days and if you are sick and try to use a personal day you get punished for it.
Callisto protocol next
For May 4th, you think you can react to crazy injuries and medical situations in the “Star Wars” franchise, please? 🙂👍
I hate getting sick especially in school I have a weak immune system so a cold cause migraines and Vomiting and it does not feel great
I have to work even if im sick
How? Thats not even legal 😂
Getting approval for MRI first? All of this makes no sence im so confused
Suggestion: gorebox
i have pink eye well watching this but its very healed
