For context Christopher reeves, He wasn’t sick of something he landed in an accident in an event he was invited too that caused his health to decline and ended him up in a wheel chair (RIP the best superman there was and will ever be)
It wasn't a film stunt but he was prepping for a role and was invited to an event which he rode his horse and it ended in a freak accident. It happened in Virginia where I live and I sent him a letter when I was a kid while he was in the hospital. No reply, never expected but a bittersweet memory. Like you said, "best superman" indeed!

He was only in his early 40's when he had that horrific accident. The man was still so young and to be a prisoner in his own body like that..........makes me appreciate so much whenever I can walk, run and appreciate everytimg I can take for granted at a moments notice. I hope one day we get stem cell research to the point we can literally rejuvenate a persons ability to walk again, that we can cure cancer and STD's are all curable and you dont have to live with a virus in your body for the rest of your life. Modern medicine needs to take even more leaps and bounds!!!!
