  • Where did this Eldrazi come from, possibly the eternal aether of the multiverse. Or rather, Zhulodok came from Wizards’ creative team in Seattle Washington, United States. Either way, it doesn’t matter, this is our new Eldrazi overload that allows other Eldrazi to cascade into each other to snowball into other destructive spells. So, the question is what time is it? It’s annihilator time!!
    This is the Eldrazi Unbound precon upgrade!

    Zhulodok is Ulomags Oldest spawn. Unlike the rest of his brood, it serviced many invasions. Generally when he appears, the titans are not far beyond. Hence the reason he has cascade. He's essentially there scout. Think of him as the Silver Sufer and the Titans as Galactus from Marvel.

      thank you, I was confused who this dude was, if he was an eldrazi spawn? An entirely NEW eldrazi or what, there's like, no direct lore explaining anything in this game save for the snippets at the bottom of SOME cards.

    He is a spawn from Ulamog. But he became legendary because of how successful for getting energy for his host. (Ulamog) He is eventually killed by heroes on zendicar

    Zhulodok was born from Ulamog, When the titans were about to get free Ulamog released some of its essence into zendikar before Nahiri fixed the lock. Zhulodok was also the one that made Vampires in Zendikar it just took people like Drana and turned them into bloodchiefs. Just look at the flavor text for Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief. Nahiri thought it was Sorin since he was a vampire too but the Vampires in Zendikar had a Ceaseless hunger because Zhulodok wanted Ulamog's will to continue on while it was still locked up. Zhulodok was killed during the war against the eldrazi.

    You can actually fetch forsaken monument with moonsilver. The middle ability of forsaken is a trigger ability which makes it a mana ability.

    The biggest issue I have with Zhuladok is that 1. He's far worse than Kozilek (doesn't protect himself, does nothing for an entire turn) 2. Khozilek is in the precon. It feels really bad when he comes down and then just gets bopped by removal after getting no value. I guess it just depends on your play group. He's definitely a fun Commander when he works out.

    • @tommieboi707
      @tommieboi707 Год назад

      It would definitely benefit zhuladok if you had other eldrazi on the battlefield before you cast him. And if possible have lightning greaves/swiftfoot on the table also. But yes, he will have to sit there for one whole turn. Ouch.

      @@Whitehalo117 every commander is a threat. Just hope they don't use removal spell on zhulodok. If they do, it's ok because you can still cast big eldrazi spells. The deck does not need zhulodok to win.

    How does cascade work if it's a card that has more mana value than the card u cast?

    • @MrKingjames92
      @MrKingjames92 Год назад +1

      it'll go to the bottom of your library

  • @dotsonk33
    @dotsonk33 Год назад +1

    I go back in fourth, while kozilek is definitely a better card he does cost 4 more mana meaning, zhuladok comes out 40% faster and can immediately interact your next turn after you cast a big spell while a kozilek player will most likely not have him out until after you've cascaded twice. And since you've cascaded, you probably have more mana, and even if he gets popped, you can usually recast him with your value.
