Ya, i was going off an old ruling that's been updated. I didn't know about the update until recently. Another person in the comments here corrected me on it. At this point in commander, it's a dud ability.. sorry for any confusion
at the end of the day its EDH, so who cares. If someone wants to pay 20 and dump the 20 page binder full of eldrazi they keep for this reason, more power to them
Ya, the deck is not the greatest out of the box, sadly. And at this point, most people know how strong zhulodok is, so they kill him fast. Need either reducers or fast rocks. Or a combination of both to really get this off the ground
Hello! Loved the list. Just one question, can this be a good choice against cedh decks especially the staple ones (Tivit, Blue Farm, Najeela, Kinnan etc)
If i has to scale this list, I'd put it more to a high 8 to a low 9. Not at cedh lvl. The other video I did of the same commander I'd put at a mid to high 9. I don't normally do cedh personally. I do more high-powered casual Great question, though!😊
How much is the cost of this deck? I bought a few expensive cards already and have a list of even more expensive ones, lol. I may sell a deck just to be able to afford the cards.
I always proxy for decks. I'm testing. www.printingproxies.com Is a great place to order proxies. They are high quality and have different backs, so they are not counterfeit. Not sponsored!
yea they are a bit expensive compared to printing them myself but the quality is definitely there with them. I would probably use them for a more permanent proxy deck or cube. The packs they have seem fun too
I’m not sure if it was already mentioned or not, and sorry if it was, but this deck is technically rule zeroed for the fact of the Mightstone and the Weakstone being a white, blue spell therefore it is not in your commander’s color identity.
From the new rules. The Mightstone and Weakstone has a colorless color identity. As the updated rules since March of the Machine clarify, a meld card's back face is not used except to "determine the characteristics of the melded permanent [that the corresponding meld] pair becomes on the battlefield" I had to look it up because I didn't think about the color on the other side.
@@TcgCollectorYT And makes 2 karn-structs, I think urza's saga is a slam dunk land here. The tutor at chapter 3 just helps you upgrade the mana production when it dies.

My Eldrazi is a Vintage deck, but I might turn it into a Commander for a limited time before going back to Vintage. (I love my Mama Eldrazi banned in Commander)
Really love this deck, I'm running something similar, but a few changes for more land focus + some alt cards that spice it up a bit, it's up as Great Shambling Mass on moxfield, would love some tips :)
Manascape refractor + exped map make thespians worth a slot I think, as well as manascape + brighthearth rings/voltaic, as well as voltaic + brighthearth + any 3+ mana rock, lots more infinite mana loops, also I feel like i see metalwork colossus in zero decks and its bonkers here
@@TcgCollectorYT nah I was just mentioning that it was funny that with the way you sorted the cards, you were about 80 cards deep until you revealed an Eldrazi that wasn’t Zhul
you need the textured foil koz and ulamong, and besides a few RL cards mostly value from the workshop id say it values more toward 6k but still a dandy deck, city of traitors, GM, and metalworker value about $550 I got some very pricy decks built I'm embarrassed to say how much ive spent on magic the last 2 years 😭 but hey you only live once right.
If i get foil titans, they're gonna be original zendikar. And mishra's workshop is down to 2.5k. As of now, but ya, it's definitely the most expensive card in the deck. I haven't spent that much in the last 2 years myself, but in my life, oh man, i don't wanna talk about it 🤣
I’m new to magic. How would your first few turns look if all your cards are super high mana costs? It seems like you’d need to pray everyone doesn’t target you for the first few turns
In my play group, I have a few house rules. I won't go over all of them here, but I'll give the big 2. #1 You get 2 free mulligan's #2 if you have no lands in your opening hand free mulligan that doesn't take away from your 2 free mulligans. So, ideally, you would open with at least 3 lands and a few rocks either. They should tap for more than 1 mana. Then start casting 7-7+ spells and your off to the races👍🏻
Unfortunately, that card is not legal due to the acorn in the bottom. But if it were 100% yes. There's also a follow up vid to this decklist where I show a few more cards added
So I recently have gotten into magic and I chose this as my first precon and my cousin said he would never play against this deck again and he said he would rather play against chatterfang and slivers.
just not a big fan of it. only counters sorcery spell's seems kind of weak plus hitting it off the cascade feels bad in testing. mind you this isn't the final build always trying new things so it may make it in one day
Very nice deck, from another Eldrazi player with 2 decks myself (Butcher and Zhulodok). But I’m not sure what’s going on in this build half the time. You run some powerhouse cards but such terrible off theme other ones it’s weird lol
Hey, thanks for checking it out. Always love me some eldrazi. With this build, I wanted to run my pet cards like I do in most of not all my builds. Most of my pet cards are "bad" to 99% of players, but I run them for the fun. For example, my favorite card in all of magic is "warp world." I can't fully explain why I just love how it turns the game on it head. I know some of the cards in the deck are not optional, but tbh I kinda like it that way. 😁
Actually, it does make colorless mana. The key part is that it says, "choose." A color, it does filter right back into colorless because zhulodok is the commander. It's kinda like urborg. You can run urborg in any deck because the card technically doesn't have a color identity. Alternatively, you can say it is used for generic mana

From what i heard from most of the people i know zhuladok isnt that good, and that the cascade doesnt matter cause most of the eldrazi have hogh casting costs
He's definitely not the best Eldrazi. But his cascade is nice to force out mana rocks and cmc reducers. Making it to where you can get your high cmc Titans faster. At least that's what my build does
I imagine you draw the full attention of those pesky Simic players who normally devote their time to ramp, countering spells, and being salty in general.
Spawnsire does not let you cast stuff from exile, and EDH does not use a sideboard. Its ability to cast stuff from outside the game literally does nothing in commander. If your playgroup is letting you do that then w/e I guess, but if you're the one that convinced them that's how it works, then you've been cheating.
Ya, I was going off what I was told at the time. I've since been corrected. I'm sorry for the confusion/misunderstanding. I hope you at least enjoyed the rest of the video
@@TcgCollectorYT a very long time ago "outside the game" effects DID let you pull stuff from exile. Which was relevant for the very old wish cycle of cards. But it hasn't worked like that for probably over 20 years at this point.
That checks out. One of the guys i play with has played since alpha. He suggested the card and explained what it did. So, at the time, I went off what he said. We were promptly updated on the ruling via the comments. But it's all good.
@@TcgCollectorYT I actually just looked it up, it was a bit more recent than I thought, but still a long time ago at this point. Prior to the rules change in 2009 the Exile zone was actually reffered to as being"removed from the game" and cards like the Wish cycle or the Spawnsire had it existed back then could've pulled from it. But ever since the 2009 rules change officially created the exile zone, that zone is considered to be a zone within the game and "outside the game" effects all stopped interacting with it. So it's been that way for about 15 years now.
Why run Glimmervoid? It doesn't seem useful in this deck as you don't need the colour. Plus, losing a land to a Shattering Spree or Vandalblast seems bad. Same thing with Guilded Lotus, you don't really need the colour, and 3 mana from a 5 mana artifact. Running a couple more basics is good in case someone casts a Back to Basics or Ruination. And maybe some land destruction lands like Wasteland and Strip Mine to deal with problem lands like Cabal Coffers, especially with a Crucible of Worlds you can just start Strip Mining a player. Spawnsire of Ulamog doesn't work how you think it does. Most commander games don't have a sideboard and you can't cast spells from exile with it as exile is a zone in the game now and has been for like 15 years at least. Otherwise looks good. I would run an It That Betrays to combo with All is Dust, also running Not of This World is pretty good as it can save targeted removal of your big dudes for free. I used to run a Kozilek deck 5 years ago but didn't have the money to make it as oppressive as everyone thought it was as. I wanna rebuild an Eldrazi deck but still don't have the money :D
Hey bud. I did an update video on this deck. I removed the glimmervoid as it was a placeholder along with a few other lands. In there place wasteland and strip mine were added amongst others. When it comes to guilded lotus, it's a pet card, and it ramps nicely for my needs. With the whole "Spawnsire" thing, ya the last time I played it. It worked differently. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of the rules change at the time of this recording. But I have since been made aware of the rules change a few days after this video went live. I appreciate the comment and interest in the video
Not exactly. It's around $2000 - $2500, depending on if you're using market price. If you're using last sold prices, $1989. Either way ya it's expensive. 😅
I'm not gonna lie. I do that very often it's kinda a problem I have. I have a light monster play style, most would say. Tbh, I'm a control player at heart
@alexanderficken9354 The part where it has to be targeted is what I don't like. Yes, you get 2 free cards, but you also have to always have 7 mana there at all times. I should almost always have more than enough mana to recast zhulodok and would rather do that than just hold up the 7. I hope that makes more sense 😁
@@TcgCollectorYT not really, you dont need to hold up 7 mana for it. It's free to cast: "This spell costs {7} less to cast if it targets a spell or ability that targets a creature you control with power 7 or greater." zhulodok is a lightning rod and taking advantage of that with not of this world is some of the best value you can get.
I thought about it. However, the big part of eldrzi's are their cast effects, and I won't get them with the bridge. But still not a bad suggestion might still fit it in for non eldrazi cards like combo pieces
@@TcgCollectorYT True but since you have to pay double with Planar Portal (finding the card and casting it) you have a big tempo advantage with Planar Bridge. Do it end of turn before your turn and get the attack trigger immediatly. Its way better then have to pay double for all the cards. can you share your decklist please

This list has been updated
I've been slowly building mine, would recommend throwing roaming throne in there to really lose some friends
Hey bud, don't worry, I added a roaming throne awhile back for maximum friend loss
Really think there should be a voltaic/manifold key in there, sorry if I missed them
It's all good you didn't miss anything. I simply didn't add them due to unwinding clock. But adding redundancy is never a bad idea
@@TcgCollectorYT cut locus lands and thespian stage/vesuva for artifact costremoval, as well as urza's saga and the keys. Your deck is not eldrazi enough so you need to do both eldrazi and strong artifact synergies. Eldrazi have strong early plays.
Another thing is that you are misunderstanding Spawnsire of Ulamog. It can't bring back exiled cards, only cards from outside the game.
Question about spawnsire, I thought commander didn’t have the sideboard function which invalidates the 20 mana ability. Does exile count as sideboard?
Ya, i was going off an old ruling that's been updated. I didn't know about the update until recently. Another person in the comments here corrected me on it. At this point in commander, it's a dud ability.. sorry for any confusion
There is an optional sideboard rule.
at the end of the day its EDH, so who cares. If someone wants to pay 20 and dump the 20 page binder full of eldrazi they keep for this reason, more power to them
@ich3730 if only my play group would let me do it 😤
Appreciate some of the recommendations, can’t get this deck to go off the few times I’ve played it. Only tweaked it by about $100.
Ya, the deck is not the greatest out of the box, sadly. And at this point, most people know how strong zhulodok is, so they kill him fast. Need either reducers or fast rocks. Or a combination of both to really get this off the ground
Feel like the new 5 color Eldrazi isn’t going to be much different.
@@zappadali8696 apparently I've missed some spoilers because I didn't know there was a 5 color coming
Is there a reason you don't play manifold key and voltaic key?
Just didn't have room
I do more high-powered casual
Great question, though!😊
@@TcgCollectorYT Thank you for the response! I'm going to watch that other video now. 👍
@jensensantillan49 no problem at all. I try to respond to all .you messages. Enjoy the vid🫡
How much is the cost of this deck? I bought a few expensive cards already and have a list of even more expensive ones, lol. I may sell a deck just to be able to afford the cards.
The Deck is up there mainly because of specialty prints and reserve list cards. I'd say around 17k-20k ballpark range
Proxy. Edh is the perfect format for proxies
I always proxy for decks. I'm testing. www.printingproxies.com
Is a great place to order proxies.
As the updated rules since March of the Machine clarify, a meld card's back face is not used except to "determine the characteristics of the melded permanent [that the corresponding meld] pair becomes on the battlefield"
I had to look it up because I didn't think about the color on the other side.
Is there a reason youre not playing Urzas Saga? It can fetch Sol Ring, Mana Crypt or a Mana Vault
With only 3 cards it could grab, I didn't think it would be necessary.
@@TcgCollectorYT And makes 2 karn-structs, I think urza's saga is a slam dunk land here. The tutor at chapter 3 just helps you upgrade the mana production when it dies.
You can also run a key to untap mana-vault for 1 and tutor for that with the saga.
Are you gonna make cuts for any of the new Titans at all?
Ya, I got 3 different eldrazi vids coming soon. One drops today. Zhulodok is a little hard to make cuts in because it runs so well as is. But have no fear the titans are coming.... no, wait.... HAVE FEAR
My Eldrazi is a Vintage deck, but I might turn it into a Commander for a limited time before going back to Vintage. (I love my Mama Eldrazi banned in Commander)
You could always talk to your play group and see if they would allow you to play Mama eldrazi
Really love this deck, I'm running something similar, but a few changes for more land focus + some alt cards that spice it up a bit, it's up as Great Shambling Mass on moxfield, would love some tips :)
Manascape refractor + exped map make thespians worth a slot I think, as well as manascape + brighthearth rings/voltaic, as well as voltaic + brighthearth + any 3+ mana rock, lots more infinite mana loops, also I feel like i see metalwork colossus in zero decks and its bonkers here
Hey bud, sorry for the late reply. I'd be happy to look at the list. Do you have a link?
Uhh tried to link it but YT said no, it's on moxfield "The Great Shambling Mass (ASP)" by Cousin_Darc
@@TcgCollectorYT yeah just "The Great Shambling Mass (ASP)" on moxfield by Cousin_Darc, youtube comments and links being mega weird RN
Not sure if RUclips is being weird or what, can't post a link, it's saved public as the Great Shambling Mass on moxfield
I would run Myr enforcer for a cheap trigger, but this deck is really good! I wonder how you get away with 34 lands
The mana rocks do a lot of work. Plus, the 2x cascade gets you more mana
Why use Glimmervoid and take the risk ? What is it to gain with a mana of any color in a colorless deck ?
Very niche but if he steals a creature with an activated ability requiring color it could come in handy once in a blue moon 😎
You have a point it's definitely a risk, but I always have more than enough artifacts.
You know I've been playing with the idea of creature stealing but haven't found the right way to consistently do it ib this deck
@@TcgCollectorYT Spire of Industry gives you colored mana or colorless without the downside of glimmervoid
We were like 80 cards deep then we finally see the first non commander Eldrazi 💀
Hey, sorry it took me a day to comment back. Now, when you say non commander, are we talking non legendary? Or did I miss something on the ban list?
@@TcgCollectorYT nah I was just mentioning that it was funny that with the way you sorted the cards, you were about 80 cards deep until you revealed an Eldrazi that wasn’t Zhul
@KodamaoftheWeastTree ah ok. Ya, I sort every care based on mana cost, so the big dudes are always in the back
Where did u get those tokens? They look sick.
The commander token came from Ebay and the other from etsy
Mystic forge + divining top + artifact/colorless cost reducer is an infinite draw
I only have 1 reducer in the deck at this point. Ugin
@@TcgCollectorYT well you should have more, because it turns out that drawing infinite cards and getting infinite mana is pretty good
Glimmervoid in a colorless deck... Hello?
The glimmervoid has been replaced. I made an update video showing the cards added and taken out.
You forgot that the dividing top + mystic forge+Ugin lets you draw your whole deck for free, draw till you get infinite mana then go crazy
Tbh, I didn't realize that until you mentioned it. Good eye!
It’s amazing with a 10k deck you could improve it by just changing the commander 😂
Your not wrong😭 but I'm not gonna😅
Spawnsire of Ulamog ruling: Note that you can’t cast cards from exile this way; exile is a zone in the game.
indeed. i've been made aware. thank you
I feel like roaming throne could be kind of crazy in this deck.
I did an updated video. Roaming throne was added in that video. And yes, it is
@@TcgCollectorYT Lost caverns was just crazy overall 😂
Way better of a set the makm that just dropped
@@TcgCollectorYT agreed, I mean there are some promising possible commanders like voja but other than that not much to write home about.
you need the textured foil koz and ulamong, and besides a few RL cards mostly value from the workshop id say it values more toward 6k but still a dandy deck, city of traitors, GM, and metalworker value about $550 I got some very pricy decks built I'm embarrassed to say how much ive spent on magic the last 2 years 😭 but hey you only live once right.
I'm also working on a gameplay video for this deck today. With be out sometime this week
Would you ever run Nearby Planet for one of the lands?
Unfortunately, that card is not legal due to the acorn in the bottom. But if it were 100% yes. There's also a follow up vid to this decklist where I show a few more cards added
Ahh that makes sense, A legal one i just added is the cave from the new ixalan set, Echoing Deeps. Might get somethin good one day

@@TcgCollectorYTI love this list man! I’m making it myself. I’ll have to wait on diamond valley and mana crypt though lol
The diamond valley got cut. And there will be a bunch more cuts as MH3 is out. Might do another update
So I recently have gotten into magic and I chose this as my first precon and my cousin said he would never play against this deck again and he said he would rather play against chatterfang and slivers.
Wanting to play against slivers over this is crazy to me.
Got the commander masters zhuludok precon he is a very solid commander I like being able to cascade for 7 or more twice 😂
Oh ya, I love zhulodok. Now we get getting more eldrazi toys in MH3
Brooooo, that's colorless s3x! +respect. Why no Warping Wail ?
just not a big fan of it. only counters sorcery spell's seems kind of weak plus hitting it off the cascade feels bad in testing. mind you this isn't the final build always trying new things so it may make it in one day
Very nice deck, from another Eldrazi player with 2 decks myself (Butcher and Zhulodok).
ah yes lemme just pick up a mishra's workshop just a $2000 card 😳
Ya, it's up there. But not required for the deck.
Why have gilded lotus? You cant choose 3 colorless mana because colorless isnt a color
Don’t care about the deck but that playmat is sick!
Hey, thank it's the first playmat I ever bought myself. "RK Post" made it

This is cool hope to see your edits soon try chimil, the inner sun
I'll have an update sometime this week. Just waiting on the mail 😅
At least that's what my build does
I cascade until I win all the time. Not sure what you’re doing wrong.
Loreseekers Stone is a strict upgrade to Tower of Fortunes
not a strict upgrade but def saves you more mana in the long run i think
Assuming you have fewer cards in hand. It's way cheaper. I'll take it under consideration
I imagine you draw the full attention of those pesky Simic players who normally devote their time to ramp, countering spells, and being salty in general.
You would be right. Luckily, we don't have many of those in my group
Top + Forge and some mana reduction goes infinite.
This is true
how the hell did you afford this
I've been playing a long time🧓🏻
What friends?
Exactly, I lost them all with this deck 🤣
Spawnsire does not let you cast stuff from exile, and EDH does not use a sideboard. Its ability to cast stuff from outside the game literally does nothing in commander. If your playgroup is letting you do that then w/e I guess, but if you're the one that convinced them that's how it works, then you've been cheating.
Ya, I was going off what I was told at the time. I've since been corrected. I'm sorry for the confusion/misunderstanding.
I hope you at least enjoyed the rest of the video
There is also an updated list video. I'm not sure if I went over that or not
@@TcgCollectorYT a very long time ago "outside the game" effects DID let you pull stuff from exile.
So it's been that way for about 15 years now.
casually flips a 2200 dollar Mishras Workshop like its nothing lol
🤣my bad, I'll put up a money notice next time. I've had it for so long that it's just another card to me. I sometimes forget how expensive it is
Estimated deck cost 14k… man I’m to poor for this ****
Drop the foils and a few of the high-end lands, and then it becomes way cheaper

Not of this world is very underrated for a free counter/instant.
True. And it came in the precon, just not a big fan of it personally
it counters any spell or ability targeting zhulodok and gives you 2 free spells on top of it, what's not to like?
@alexanderficken9354 not gonna lie. I forgot the part about it being free
I would swap Planar Portal for Planar Bridge
I thought about it. However, the big part of eldrzi's are their cast effects, and I won't get them with the bridge. But still not a bad suggestion might still fit it in for non eldrazi cards like combo pieces
@@TcgCollectorYT True but since you have to pay double with Planar Portal (finding the card and casting it) you have a big tempo advantage with Planar Bridge. Do it end of turn before your turn and get the attack trigger immediatly. Its way better then have to pay double for all the cards. But on the other hand you can get instants and sorceries with Planar Portal. I love to get Darksteel Monolith with Planar Bridge and immediatly cast something from my hand for 0.^^
