@GrazzetMTG Just picking your brain: I was thinking about adding Emrakul, the Promised End on top of the further upgrades section. What card (if you were going to do the same) would you cut for it?
I always watch a bunch of uograde suggestions whenever I get a new precon to get a variety of perspectives and possible cards, but every single time you show the most amount of cards and show ones that no one else thought of. Another impressive video, Grazzet. Great job!
"To survive on instant noodles to add these upgrades" - man I feel that so much. get some instant noodles plus some veggies, maybe some siracha and sliced cheese as condiments, and make a big batch of soup to have throughout the week. that aside, excellent video as always Grazzet. looking forward to you getting back to the non-precon builds
@@joshuafischer8934 We have 2 eldrazi with indestructible, Ugin’s mastery has only ever won me games I cast an eldrazi and then flip 2 cards face down, attack with zulodoch and literally flip a 10/10 face up The value is pretty insane
@@joshuafischer8934 Your eldrazi are not immune to board wipes regardless, and damage based board wipes are very niche, people rarely use direct dmg to kill creatures And even eldrazi dont survive blas-act, save ulamog, and exile is much more prevelant The upside of flipping a free land or ulamog is too great to worry about the potential downside Im sorry but this card is straight gas in any colorless deck period
@GrazzetMTG long time fan,1st time commenter. Always wondered what you would build with Kenessos, priest of Thassa. But smashing build with zhulodok. But keep up the amazing work. 🎉🎉
The Eldrazi precon is certainly my top pick for this cycle, but I am overall disappointed in the set. Mostly because it just doesn't look like a premium product dispite being priced as one
The choice to make the 'altmander' barely synergize with the normal commander is something else. So many people just cut the X cost cards because they're such a stupid include in this deck which more often than not are 'feels bad' moments when you Cascade into them. Ditching the X cost ones and including some of the (very) cheap but more useful Eldrazi would have made more sense.
Nice upgrade; been playing the deck in some homebrew tournament. We get upgrades as the play goes along; got a chuckle that some of the upgrades I made were the same you suggested here. I did add Mimic vat as that seemed quite brutal to me. Thanks for the video!
Glad you liked it! And Mimic Vat seems like an interesting add, but I can see it as a solid way for us to get extra uses out of our big creatures if their destroyed or as a way to steal our opponents biggest threats - so I can dig it!
Thank you so much for your videos. As a beginner, explanations and your builds have helped me immensely. Do you think in the future you could do a zombie commander build on the rot clever?
It was on the short list, but I opted to really lean into the big stat side of things in this build. Still, I definitely agree that it would make a fantastic addition to stall games that we need more time to close out.
@@GrazzetMTG totally! looking forward to the deck tech for individual commanders! would you be open to doing deck techs for commanders from previous expansions?
There is a lot of exiling effects. I am inclined to play Karn the great creator as a way to turn our ramp artifacts into beat sticks, recover our exiled cards and mainly act as a one sided stony silence to shut down opposing mana rocks and utility artifacts.
i might be giving a minor disclaimer for the "Further upgrades" area of the video there absolutely no mention at all of "Emrakul, the Promised End" but I can assume the reason Emrakul got no mention is because shes actually $20 more than both "Ulamog, the infinite gyre" and "Kozilek, butcher of truth" combine shes around $75-$80 and its because emrakul was weirdly not a reprint in Commander masters.
@@joshuafischer8934 oh believe i'm sure the biggest factor of why they aren't is they are well aware that she'll be reprinted someday. though who knows how are the titans will spike but I know another price spike might happen because there's a good chnace eldrazi's are involved in MH3 because of that photo.
Great upgrades once more! Cityscape Leveler will also make for a juicy upgrade - 8 cmc makes the CMC value ceiling for the cascade granted by Zhulodok 22 which is a treat indeed. It is closer to $30 than $20 which is a lot for a second Meteor Golem but the powerstone shards generally don't help opponents much and has a much bigger stat block (8/8 trampler vs 3/3 with no keywords.) Karn Liberated ($12 on TCGplayer at time of writing) is more removal and a win condition if the stars and planets align to allow for the -14
Glad you enjoyed it and superb upgrade suggestions! Cityscape Leveler is indeed a big mana repeatable source of permanant destruction with relatively little downside and Karn Liberated gives us access to even more removal and a backbreaking ult if we can get to it, making them great additions to the build if we can afford them!
i have build all the modificacions and it works super well for me!!! i just finished it today!!!!! , super good!, at the end i did not include immortal sun but i have it as a sideboard. what do you think on adding urzas workshop and ancient tomb?
Could it? Yes. Should it? Unsure. The reason I say that is that we have SO MUCH ramp in this build that Minds eye is almost guaranteed to draw us at least 3+ cards per rotation when we need it to, while The Immortal Sun is limited to only 1. Still, I think The Immortal Sun would make for a good addition (it was actually in the short list of the build as a matter of fact), though I would say replacing it for another card would likely be a better move if you have the budget - possible for Dreamstone Hedron if you want to keep the CMC the same (since its still ramp and draw, on top of shutting down walkers and empowering our board).
with how cheap platnium angel is would you recomend it and if so what would you cut from the deck if i followed your upgrade path, would you cut somthing that would have been upgraded by you or a different card

I just typed all this out lol
Just realized after messing around with this deck that “Echoes of Eternity” makes everything you do a lot scarier for everyone else at the table
Add roaming throne and one copied by echoes of eternity on cast and boom delete someone with a giant annihilator
Im still using this deck almost a year later, its still a power house. Thank you sir
Happy to hear it!
Do you think it would be a good idea to combine both Eldrazi Unbound and Incursion to make a better deck? Or do you think they’re better separate?

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I do try my best to get the most bang for your buck on each precon upgrade I make, so I'm glad that thats coming across.

No worrries. I did mean it as a way of relating to what Grazzet said. I've done it many a time myself for whatever reasoning I had at the time.
another banger,
thanks grazzet!
Glad you enjoy it!

Agreed
I paid 100 bucks to just lose games every time

Had the highest hopes for this deck and way by far the worst play experience I have ever had in a precon. Thnx for the vid, nice job.
Instant noodles are temporary, but death is permanent
True enough - until the next game anyway!
I started upgrading Zhulodok and so far I've cut pretty much the same cards as you, maybe I'm getting better at this !
You know what they say - Great minds think alike!
Yeah🎉

I thought for sure you were about to say something about the last pair of upgrades having annihilator and them annihilating our wallets
That... is actually pretty good.... I'm kind of sad that I didn't think of it myself! I must be losing my touch....
