I don't think this holds true anymore. In canon, he is repeatedly shown without his armor and also shown repairing and modifying it, meaning he probably enjoyed how it looked, at least since he kept wearing it with minor changes in its appearance until he died.

Sidious never told Anakin that the "ability to prevent people from dying" involved him syphoning the life force from someone and putting it in someone else.
I call bullshit. While it sounds plausible and even true for a time, if he really wanted to he could have found and made a more versatile and accommodating suit and could have easily defeated the Emperor at any time.
Love all starwars films Still collect starwars toys In seeing the films I would never pick the dark side - would choose the light side. Had too many yrs of being angry from being bullied Light side would bring some relaxation
If an old book I have is still considered canon, the suit also somehow prevented tears while the helmet was on, and it’s implied that when he cries in episode 6, it’s the first time he’s physically teared up since likely before Mustafar
He was actually offered a better suit later on but he refused knowing the uncomfortable feeling of his suit making him angry also made him more powerful!
As soon as I saw him choking that guy at the beginning of A New Hope, I knew it; There's a guy that's just in so much pain and anguish, and not totally evil at all.
There's also the fact that vitals were measured through uncomfortable probes preventing full, proper rest in the suit, and the only option was his bacta tank, but he most likely wouldn't want to rest there considering his visions haunted him almost to the brink of insanity.
Originally, there wasn't much lore. It's some fans' desire to have every little bit explained and give an elaborate backstory to every minor character that brought us were we are today, and turned me off of SW fandom for life.
This extended lore stuff is for people with no lives I swear. Like who gives a shit about the intricacies of Vader's adjustments into life on his suit. It is so narratively unimportant and soulless.
Theres alot to unpack actually. If im correct, Palpatine purposely gave him a shitty suit so he wouldnt be able to overpower the old man and limit his already burnt body. This mentally challenged Vader into ever thinking of killing Palpatine
If you don't care or don't have the time for stuff like this, move on. People have interests, and I'd say you're doing pretty well if you have the time to pursue them. Normally the people with "no lives" are the ones shitting on how others live theirs.

Vader : ❌
Anakin : ✅
one of my favorite headcanons was that Sidious syphoned Padme's life force away to keep Vader alive, but then also made it so it was linked to himself. So when Vader killed Sidious, his life force vanished too.
That makes no sense
@@archmagosdominusbelisarius8836 Yes it does actually, as long as you're not stupid.
@@jackmcmorrow9397 but why would he syphon life force? Like vader lost limbs yes but he was capable of staying alive without any of what you said.. this is why it makes no sense
@@archmagosdominusbelisarius8836 Vader was alive, BECAUSE Sidious was syphoning the life force from padme, hence why he knew where he was on Mustafar and why Padme was dying for no seemingly reason.
and during the scenes where padme is dying while Vader is rebuilt, you can hear a faint heart beating sound that slowly fades out on Padme, but slowly builds up on Anakin.
Sidious never told Anakin that the "ability to prevent people from dying" involved him syphoning the life force from someone and putting it in someone else.
@@jackmcmorrow9397"as long as your not stupid" what? Lol
And still he was insanely powerful
I know! It's crazy
his suit was designed by Palpatine to torture him every second of every day, he was always in constant and agonizing pain
I call bullshit. While it sounds plausible and even true for a time, if he really wanted to he could have found and made a more versatile and accommodating suit and could have easily defeated the Emperor at any time.
He used the suit as a way of suffering. The comics themselves say the exact thing you just did, but he purposely stays in this suit to torture himself
Without the torture of this suit his connection to the dark side would be weaker.
I never knew this. That’s pretty cool!
Pedro pascal
What he doesn't know is that the emperor specifically ordered for the suits to have such flaws to prevent Vader from overpowering him.
Love all starwars films
Still collect starwars toys
In seeing the films
I would never pick the dark side - would choose the light side.
Had too many yrs of being angry from being bullied
Light side would bring some relaxation
Excuses
😂
Couldn't he just change it himself?
Oh yeah tell the guy who got his limbs cut off to just get a better suit. Wow you are so smart
Bro kept it cus it made him stronger in the darkside (from anger and discomfort)
I'm sure there's a loooong article on wookiepedia and a few dozen fanbois ready to explain why he couldn't.
He did all the repairs himself but he refused upgrading to an improved suit because the operation was highly risky
Ey psst, You don't like Star Wars? Have you ever heard of Warhammer 40k?
40K starting down the same route.
Was this information in a book?
Same question. The movies sure didn't offer any of this character development.
Vader comics all of this comes from the comics
As soon as I saw him choking that guy at the beginning of A New Hope, I knew it; There's a guy that's just in so much pain and anguish, and not totally evil at all.
He literally became hate, thats awesome.
Surrounded by everything he hates, and stripped from everything he loves.
So that wasnt even his full power damn
The droids were following Palpatines orders. Vader failed so Sidious punished him with a horrible painful suit
There's also the fact that vitals were measured through uncomfortable probes preventing full, proper rest in the suit, and the only option was his bacta tank, but he most likely wouldn't want to rest there considering his visions haunted him almost to the brink of insanity.
He still wore it though because it reminded him of his defeat and it files his rage. He even declined an upgrade because of that in the comics
These are lies. You cant just make up your own stories for someone elses characters. Thumbs down and reporting this video for misinformation.
Nah bro it's real Darth Vader told me all this himself
You've clearly never read any of the comics...
Fr I've already reported on 3 accounts!
no one cares dawg
My nigga you're upset over misinformation surrounding a fictional universe. Take these concerns to misinformation from politicians and governments.
Star Wars lore is so stupid
THANK YOU! Yes it is!
Sith thrive of hatred. The suit was intended to be hated by Vader at the will of the Emporer. It makes sense when you think about it.
Originally, there wasn't much lore.
It's some fans' desire to have every little bit explained and give an elaborate backstory to every minor character that brought us were we are today, and turned me off of SW fandom for life.
You're free to your opinion. Even if it's wrong.
This was back when he first became Vader. As time went on, he steadily upgraded his suit more and more, though there was only so much he could do.
"Prevented him from expressing his emotions"
