    I've seen other videos of such wheelchairs, but this is the best so far. Especially because you show its behavior on uneven terrain.

    Nice for beach, forest, now they need to make the batteries last 50 miles and find an easy way to get on it from the floor if someone fell or decided to sit or swim.

    I saw an electric motorcycle capable of 400 miles range and 160mph speed on GizMag e.mails I receive. The technology is already available only not yet mass-produced. Also technology is available for 4x4, stair-climbing gyroscopic chairs that can climb 45 degree slopes and last up to 40 miles. China started the 4x4 gyro chair(sold for $10k) & a 72volt motor similar to Segway can last up to 40 miles with better batteries.The problem is people are profiting from $200 junk so they ignore progress.

    @Hesam0000 battery technology is moving fast,shorty you will see a big break though on the storage capacity of batteries,by a factor of three.

    Yep, I just bought a LiFePO4 battery chair & battery life is near 8 times the similar lead-acid one. I've heard the "Flywheel battery" lasts forever! but ofcourse the whole battery manufacturing world would be against it.

    yes NASA claims 90 percent efficiently in their flywheel battery,using electrical or some kind of mechanical input, they can get up to a very high speed quickly.Lipo batteries should get a big boost soon,in the form of capacity,we might see as much as a three fold increase,I'm excited.Someday soon,we will see,electric motorcycles,cars,small atv's,wheel chairs,scooters,you name it, running for 300 to 400 miles per charge

    Caveat emptor! This may not be the chair for you.
    These chairs do not come with a stabilizing bracket, like other such chairs, primarily manufactured in Europe. A bracket is important because without it the chair is not stable while you mount it and it will move and can throw you off and crash into your ankles, injuring them. The Segway motor is strong and the machine can overpower you easily. Mine threw me to the floor and smashed my head into the wall.
    The company brags about a new backrest but that is worthless if you cannot get on the chair. They need to stop selling them and develop a stabilizing bracket to make them useable. I bought one but too late realized the shortcomings, so it has just sit in my garage for two months, waiting for a promised bracket. I am still waiting. The company will not communicate with me and just ignores my emails.

      turn it off before getting on!

    • @dickgroff
      @dickgroff 10 лет назад

      ***** Sounds logical tom, but it does not work like that. It must be fully operational before weight is put on it. if there is weight on it before that it will not start. Also when it is off it cannot remain upright. it tilts, so the same problem is presented whether it is on or off before mounting.
