(G)I-DLE is nothing like other groups. They are so unique that i have never seen in other groups. Ever since i got into kpop these girls were my favourite and they still are. They are really awesome from vocals to looks and to their music. I really like how soyeon is included everywhere in their songs from writing to producing she's the queen
The production in Hwaa was tight from the music, to the video to the looks. All is very polished, Soyeon created the song, produced the song and 3 of the girls produced their album. They are just next level, they are invested in their craft and thats what makes them so special. They do deserve international recognition.

MAMAMOO is known for being artists over idols, and (G)I-DLE is exactly like that for 4th gen. That’s also the reason why the two groups are my absolute favorite groups in all of kpop. I also think both groups have the best female rappers of their respective generations, not only amazing with rapping but also in writing and composing. (G)I-DLE is such a young group but already putting out multiple works of art
Funny that you talked about them trying to reach the international market, meanwhile Soyeon produced a song with traditional koran instruments, traditional clothing and the whole lyrics in korean with some oold korean words, to fit the music and theme :D but yes i know what you mean, they fit this all soo incredible good into ineranational sound. There are a lot of groups, very talented guys and girls, but not everyone will manage to become as famous as BTS or BLACKPINK. Unfortunately, this is how K-pop world works. But not everyone needs this worldwide recognition. Someone may live by music and neither money nor popularity is important to him, maybe he likes what he does, maybe he just pleases the fact that he performs in front of the fans. So don't think that every talented group needs to be popular. Idols knew what they were doing when they signed a contract.

Bts produce their song too. For example their latest album was only produced by them from the songs to the concept of the video, the photo book... They always produce their songs and also the melodies. If they are on top there is a reason. They didn't became famous in one day. For years they struggle. They were mistreated by other idols, journalist, staff member... people made fun of them because they didn't have money to buy expensive clothes or becasue they wore makeup. They were hit by a staff member also. In their song since the beginning of their career they tried to send deep message. If you don't know anything about bts don't write wrong things.
I wish you guys could also do a listening party to their I BURN EP. it's a really well rounded and well thought out album. FYI HWAA was made after Queendom and LION but CUBE rejected it. And as Minnie said in a video I watched earlier, when she first heard this song, she immediately thought that it's something that only (G)I-DLE can do.

I am glad they came back to their root style of music, I just didn't vibe that much with there two last comebacks but this one is AMAZING. That bridge reminds me of LATATA and chorus of HANN which are my two favorite songs from G Idle. Anyways great reaction as always!

9.15 It is not reaaally targeted towards international markets - it is supposed to implement Japanese and oriental elements. The song represents the feeling of loneliness and coldness which is then blooming and blossoming like a flower with new life and energy finally replaced by the burning fire and temperament - this order is represented in the MV Ice -> Flower -> Fire. A metaphor for the current global health situation which is hopefully getting better soon. This might be the only hint of internationality, otherwise the song is using oriental sounds and also only uses korean lyrics for most of the time, only some half sentences are sung in english.

I agree what you said that people knowing kpop only bts and blackpink but they don't know that gidle is on top of them always remember they produce their own song, concept, everything from the scratch. They always produce their songs and also the melodies. If they are on top there is a reason. They didn't became famous in one day. For years they struggle. They were mistreated by other idols, journalist, staff member... people made fun of them because they didn't have money to buy expensive clothes or becasue they wore makeup. They were hit by a staff member also.
In their song since the beginning of their career they tried to send deep message.

I wish you guys could also do a listening party to their I BURN EP. it's a really well rounded and well thought out album. FYI HWAA was made after Queendom and LION but CUBE rejected it. And as Minnie said in a video I watched earlier, when she first heard this song, she immediately thought that it's something that only (G)I-DLE can do.

I am glad they came back to their root style of music, I just didn't vibe that much with there two last comebacks but this one is AMAZING. That bridge reminds me of LATATA and chorus of HANN which are my two favorite songs from G Idle. Anyways great reaction as always!

The traditional instrument you were referring to was most likely a Chinese zither or guzheng. Yuqi knows how to play it
9.15 It is not reaaally targeted towards international markets - it is supposed to implement Japanese and oriental elements. The song represents the feeling of loneliness and coldness which is then blooming and blossoming like a flower with new life and energy finally replaced by the burning fire and temperament - this order is represented in the MV Ice -> Flower -> Fire.
A metaphor for the current global health situation which is hopefully getting better soon. This might be the only hint of internationality, otherwise the song is using oriental sounds and also only uses korean lyrics for most of the time, only some half sentences are sung in english.
