Basically I took it as. Soojin is the devil, the ‘she’ that they kept referencing. Soyeon is being lured by her and that’s why she’s in the dirt at the end and she’s looking up at soojin (she’s basically being seduced by soojin). Some scenes go by fast but soojin was being held up by some fabric and soyeon was reaching out to her. Miyeon and shuhua are the innocence of it all. They both stayed white throughout the mv. Soojin was In red and black the whole time. Minnie started off in the white room and was in white and by the end she had all the writing on her like the back up dancers had that she was with. So I took it as the Back up dancers for her were soojins army trying to lure Minnie in but Minnie was trying to get away and fought back but in the end she got sucked into where soyeon went. She got lured in. Yuqi drops a goblet that actually falls into where soyeon is. So even tho she’s in the innocent part at that second she then changes the next time you see her and she has red makeup on so it’s like she changed and has been lured to soojin. I hope this helps. I love this comeback so much, it’s their most interesting mv to date.
my theory is that all of them nearly fall or fall throughout the mv for the seduction of the demon the ranking is 1.soyeon because at the start she's seen in a fully white room but then later on on her 2 rap she's seen in a cage with barbed wire or sumn being possessed by soojin and was probably the only one who enjoyed being in hell with soojin 2.minnie she didn't want to join but she was trying her best the whole time to stay in the white room (heaven) but she kept on getting dragged out but at the end she's seen in the same mud as soyeon meaning she also got possessed and is under soojins spell + she seemed like she was drawn on at the end of the mv on her part maybe was humiliated into joining soojin and soyeon? 3.shuhua I know you might be asking why shuhua she seemed like the one angel out of both of them who seemed like she wanted to join them You could see soojin kissing shuhuas forehead maybe trying to cast a spell on her but it never ended up working and they might have not let her in 4.yuqi yuqi is pretty much the one hat has nothing to do with anyone in this theory she has been seduced by soojin before and has been used but escaped as you can see from her lines 5.miyeon she stayed neutral the whole time and stayed a angel it's pretty lesbian so we stan
I'm with you, but I see it as the temptation and fall of angel Minnie. I think Soyeon was already fallen as the second time we see her she walking through Soojins "followers" in a black dress. "Devil" Soojin is the only other one in black. Also we see Soojin try to seduce Shuhua but then Shuhua turns into Soyeon. Minnie spends the entire video "fighting" off Soojins minions. In the and she gives in, finger gun "suicide" and then video ends we see Minnie with her hands blackened and clothes stained, finally she is in the same mud hell Soyeon was reveling in but Minnie is reaching out, possibly for for salvation? My take any way.

I normally don’t listen to girl groups, I knew about their other MVs which I liked but didn’t fall into. But... this one really captured me because there is this darkness, but there’s a lightness as well. I like their voices, each with their own vocal colour and character. But I love Yuqi who came in with her lower voice and her voice which sounds so strong. The whole feels rich, luscious and sultry
This song and the EP it comes in is very much focused on the figure of the woman. This song specifically talks about love, desire and reverence for a SHE (wlw win!), who seems to be divine in nature but is so desirable that induces the worshipers into falling into temptation due to their desire (reminds us of some carnal representations of religious ecstasy in art). Soojin represents the goddess, Soyeon and Minie represent the fallen worshipers, while Shuhua, Yuqi and Miyeon are the worshipers who haven't fallen into temptation YET, so they're pure. See the transition from Soojin kissing Shuhua's head, when Suhua finished her verse and says she fell in love, as if she accepts her and then Shuhua transforms in Soyeon.
I love Oh My God it's such a fantastic song. The visuals, MV and lyrics are amazing. I enjoy it, when you react to (G)I-DLE. Would love to see a reaction video of the choreo, since the MV tells more of a story, than showing the choreo.

Ab Imo Pectori ( Latin phrase )- means with bottom of my heart. My theory ( it's a long one) It talks about the dark side of love, and how the temptation corrupts you. So the 1st scene with Minnie is like the white place she is in and it shows the innocence and how the temptation is trying to enter her mind ( white clear liquid showing innocence leaving and red liquid temptation taking over her mind) . The next scene with Soyeon denotes the same white innocence, but she is going restless over it. Then both of them is introduced to the temptation through Yuqi, who is already corrupted by the dark love. And the scene with Miyeon shows how she is the symbol of the purity and innocence ( kinda like the heaven owner itself) and how she rejects the red liquid ( temptation of dark love maybe) and just accepts the pure love... Chorus shows how Soyeon is already corrupted now and Minnie is fighting to get away from the claws of soldiers of the temptations ( see those dancers have dirty handmarks all over their outfit). Then we are introduced to the queen of the temptations ( maybe lilith herself, what with the apple holding reference and the chorus lyrics) behind her is the pedestal, her throne of hell. Then we are again taken to scene of Soyeon ( the rap) to observe how fast she is falling for the temptation and getting corrupted by the temptation. Then Miyeon getting kinda pissed about how the dark temptation is affecting her subjects while Yuqi shows how much she has gotten corrupted ( her eye makeup). 2nd chorus shows Soojin rejoicing her power and Minnie still fighting hard. 3rd verse introduces Shuhua, another subject of Miyeon who believes in the pure love and then, is again getting tempted by Soojin ( purple before then painted my face with red) and then whisper part shows how close Soojin gets to corrupt Shuhua but at the end she rejects the temptations and soojin leaves her but still accepts Soyeon( whisper part)..I think the Latin part shows how much both the side is fighting. Then the last chorus shows how far down the pit Soyeon has fallen and Soojin rejoicing the new subjects and just displaying her reach and power as a queen of hell. THEN THE CLOSING- It shows Minnie who has won the battle but now has the scars of dark love left all over her. The last scene shows how far she fell too but then she came back with her determination (the latin tattoo - with bottom of my heart), telling it's never too late and must keep their determination strong... Phew that was long. If you are still here , thank you!
I really like your interpretation! What do you think about the scene where Minnie is "shooting" herself in the head? Or at least doing the gesture? I can't find an explanation for that anywhere
I love how the song clearly shows a sin in most modern christian’s eyes, but the storytelling and details is so complex, that most interpretations are super deep!! So fun to read ~ And regardless of the references people found, it does kind of show the unique restricted desires and mixed feelings about wanting to give in to a forbidden love.. which is very brave coming from a relatively new group from korea!! 🤯
Yeaaaaaah love it! thank you for this video! And yeah! Wanna see Dana's fashion review... the stage reaction, english version reaction, plot theories... everything about this song, because its definitely my fav g i-dle song/mv... this is not only entertainment, it's art hehehe

I haven't gone back to this channel in a while and was so pleasantly surprised when you guys spoke english!! I was so willing to watch it in German despite me not knowing the language because I love your guys' reactions!!
(G)I-DLE IS COMING BACK THIS JAN 11 WITH NEW MINI ALBUM "I BURN" please, i would love you to react to the whole ep since it is completely self-produced by three of the members! (soyeon, yuqi and minnie)
It is actually a love song. I think it was soyeon and yuqi are devils and minnie and shuhua are angels. Funfact: Soyeon got her inspiration for the lyrics from an anime😊 Great video again and I hope you check out the b-sides, because they are sooo awesome
Soyeon will be able to buy multiple buildings from her royalties alone. You should also watch the live. They all slayed so hard, especially Miyeon and Yuqi, despite only having smaller parts in this song really shined in that performance.
i see the Power ⚡ of Soyeon , i see the Heart of Minnie , i see the Soul of Yuqi , i see the Charm of Shuhua , i see the Beauty of Miyeon , i Feel the Flame 🔥 and Fire 🔥 of Soojin in all the Members Hearts .
Minnie (The first girl) Her voice is actually like that, they barley do anything to her voice since its so naturally unique, she has the dreamy vocals in every song, she can make her voice sound different in many ways and can sing well in every kind of melody.
I think this song is really important for Soyeon's personal beliefs and her christianity. As a lot of fans know Soyeon is christian together with Soojin. And i mean, even here there are literally crosses everywhere at the end, brought up by the dancers. The white apple, that means yes, you can bite the apple of knowledge and feel all you want cause if you feel pure with it, it's not a sin (with the right restraints obviously, lol, like..."do not kill"). And with "THAT is not a sin", THAT could mean anything. Soyeon said that the "HER" could be anything. Anything you feel pure but at the same time wrong about. The point of the song is "whatever people are saying, love what you want, cause if it makes you feel happy then that's not a sin for God". That's why she's praying to god in the middle of the song and in the chorus/title...it's a prayer in which she says that she knows it's not a bad sin since she's feeling so tempted to something she feels good and Pure with. And god could never punish her for pureness, literally. The title itself suggest she's talking to God
Thank you for your reactions and oh my god was also my first impression of the song. I really enjoyed the aspirated song in ther voice is so cool. It also doesn't bother me that you guys talk in English. I'm German but it's good that you talk English so almost everyone can understand you .
They're talking about themselves....read the discreption box if you want to understand...the album is "I trust"...the song is about loving yourself & trusting yourself
My theory: this video is telling about the different states or paths of falling into self corruption in the entertainment industry. Soojin: temptation she represents the fans, fame, money that slowly dive into corruption of onesself through obsession. Miyeon: the goddess of resiliance she never gets obsessed by temptation meaning she never becomes corrupted and stays pure and wholesome. Lives by means for herself and not demand of others--she loves herself Soyeon: the Corrupt represents those that fall into the obsession of the industry only able to superficially accept themselves through the approval of others. can no longer live for themselves Shuhua: hero while teased by temptation, her character is resiliant and overcomes the corrupt force. she prevails and remains pure Yuqi: basically exact opposite of Shuhua. represents what happens to an artist when they scumbub to temptation. they become a fallen angel. Minnie: im not 100% sure i think she represents the cycle an artist goes through once they have fallen into deep corruption amd can no longer accept themselves (ea. shooting herself). or overcoming the suicidal behaviour and becoming resiliant through the slightest willpower and doubt they could hold onto. if the latter is true i think the message of the song for other artists is that they could overcome the absurdly difficult things thrown at them and become a hero, while with scars, they can do it thank you for reading pmease leave feedback and more theories id love to read em :)
I'm so surprised that soooo many reactors Don't react to the Shuhua/Soyeon transition @5:20 Is it just me, or is that an EPIC shot!? Edit: I know there's a LOT going on in this video, but that shot was Amazing!
Notice how the letterbox opens up to begin the video (like opening a window or raising a curtain on a stage) and then constricts or closes as the video ends making the ending feel claustrophobic as we see Minnie laying in the mud (in Hell?). It's a cool effect.

Thanks for speaking in english ! I love your reactions ;)
Thank you so much for explaining the details of the song, that's the reason why you're the best music reactor
I love how the song clearly shows a sin in most modern christian’s eyes, but the storytelling and details is so complex, that most interpretations are super deep!! So fun to read ~
And regardless of the references people found, it does kind of show the unique restricted desires and mixed feelings about wanting to give in to a forbidden love.. which is very brave coming from a relatively new group from korea!! 🤯
Korean anti lgbt is still strong that’s why they express gay love in a very secret way
Yeaaaaaah love it! thank you for this video! And yeah! Wanna see Dana's fashion review... the stage reaction, english version reaction, plot theories... everything about this song, because its definitely my fav g i-dle song/mv... this is not only entertainment, it's art hehehe
Max (Changmin) - Chocolate ❤️
I LOVE Gidle!! Keep reacting to their videos 😍😍
You two are my favorite Kpop-related channel. You make me laugh and are so insightful and genuine at the same time. So glad to have you back!
❤️
I haven't gone back to this channel in a while and was so pleasantly surprised when you guys spoke english!! I was so willing to watch it in German despite me not knowing the language because I love your guys' reactions!!
Thanks! Then I believe you have a lot to catch up 😅 We've been talking English for a while now
Ame el comeback de (G)idle. 💜
x2 Estan Hermosas Y Es Muy Hermoso uwur
(G)I-DLE IS COMING BACK THIS JAN 11 WITH NEW MINI ALBUM "I BURN" please, i would love you to react to the whole ep since it is completely self-produced by three of the members! (soyeon, yuqi and minnie)
Thank you for reaction, we'd appreciate a make-up and style examination too, waiting for it 😊
So an ad titled '(여자)아이들((G)I-DLE) - 'Oh my god' Official Music Video' started to run during the video. lmao
Looolll
It is actually a love song. I think it was soyeon and yuqi are devils and minnie and shuhua are angels. Funfact: Soyeon got her inspiration for the lyrics from an anime😊
Great video again and I hope you check out the b-sides, because they are sooo awesome
Please react to Dreamcatcher's Siyeon's Paradise single and Speechless cover. Would be a nice double feature
Pleasee teact to album "i trust" 🙏🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
Soyeon will be able to buy multiple buildings from her royalties alone. You should also watch the live. They all slayed so hard, especially Miyeon and Yuqi, despite only having smaller parts in this song really shined in that performance.
Finally someone who understands and appreciate this masterpiece
i see the Power ⚡ of Soyeon ,
i see the Heart of Minnie ,
i see the Soul of Yuqi ,
i see the Charm of Shuhua ,
i see the Beauty of Miyeon ,
i Feel the Flame 🔥 and Fire 🔥 of Soojin in all the Members Hearts .
Oh my god richtig geil 😍🔥

Dana Rolle can’t wait!!! 😁 you won’t regret it

YESSSSS !!!
This song is so good wjdnjendje I fell in love right away
Did you guys know that Soyeon (the rapper) is the producer and Songwriter???
QUEEEEEEN 🛐
You must react "Red Sun" - Dreamcatcher . Its epiccccc
By far their greatest song
Even though my favorite is Han (alone)
Ab Imo pectore means "from the bottom of the soul", something like "frankly"
@@DanaRolle Vielen vielen Dank^^
On April 8, EXO will be 8 years old. In Korean time it is today at 5 p.m. [17 Uhr] in germany
Ohhhhh nice! Perfect timing... maybe we have something planned for the weekend :P
@@DanaRolle OMG! I'm already excited😍
@@DanaRolle pls react to their album 'obsession' 🥺😊
I REALLY NEED MORE VIDEOS REACTING TO KPOP!!!! 💓💓
yes I would love to see Dana doing a video on this!
Rahims Favorit ist Soojin und von Dana Soyeon und Minnie. Das sieht man😉
Hahahaha 🥰
Living for these Billie Eilish dark vibes!!!
jaaa, fashion reaction to this one please, Dana !!! ^-^
Please react to mino- fiance🙆🏽
Yes please! It's one of my ultimate favorite songs.
Thank you for your reactions and oh my god was also my first impression of the song. I really enjoyed the aspirated song in ther voice is so cool. It also doesn't bother me that you guys talk in English. I'm German but it's good that you talk English so almost everyone can understand you .
The song is a mixture of dark and white version , the lie and the tres that’s why you see Minnie intro is dark and then soyeon part is happy
They're talking about themselves....read the discreption box if you want to understand...the album is "I trust"...the song is about loving yourself & trusting yourself
Pls listen also to the rest of the album
there rapper leader soyeon writes there songs and produce 😍😍😍
Baki
My theory:
this video is telling about the different states or paths of falling into self corruption in the entertainment industry.
Soojin: temptation
she represents the fans, fame, money that slowly dive into corruption of onesself through obsession.
Miyeon: the goddess of resiliance
she never gets obsessed by temptation meaning she never becomes corrupted and stays pure and wholesome. Lives by means for herself and not demand of others--she loves herself
Soyeon: the Corrupt
represents those that fall into the obsession of the industry only able to superficially accept themselves through the approval of others. can no longer live for themselves
Shuhua: hero
while teased by temptation, her character is resiliant and overcomes the corrupt force. she prevails and remains pure
Yuqi: basically exact opposite of Shuhua.
represents what happens to an artist when they scumbub to temptation. they become a fallen angel.
Minnie: im not 100% sure
i think she represents the cycle an artist goes through once they have fallen into deep corruption amd can no longer accept themselves (ea. shooting herself).
or overcoming the suicidal behaviour and becoming resiliant through the slightest willpower and doubt they could hold onto.
if the latter is true i think the message of the song for other artists is that they could overcome the absurdly difficult things thrown at them and become a hero, while with scars, they can do it
thank you for reading pmease leave feedback and more theories id love to read em :)
dana is so cute
🥰
I'm so surprised that soooo many reactors Don't react to the Shuhua/Soyeon transition @5:20 Is it just me, or is that an EPIC shot!?
Edit: I know there's a LOT going on in this video, but that shot was Amazing!
The whole song and video are so haunting....
"Oh My god" indeed

I got an Ad for OMG right after the chorus, I'm so shook.
LOL
I got an ad for oh my god in the middle of this vid :-D
even on a reaction video i rewind soyeons lick EVERY 😩 TIME 🙏🏼
Please!!! f(x) - red light 😍
Notice how the letterbox opens up to begin the video (like opening a window or raising a curtain on a stage) and then constricts or closes as the video ends making the ending feel claustrophobic as we see Minnie laying in the mud (in Hell?). It's a cool effect.
You can go and listen to the English Version
Soyeon oh my god part wow
