- In this episode, I strike out into no man's land on the hunt for winter Speckled Trout. You'll see me go through my process of locating fish when I have no information of where they might be. Along the way I'll be using some tricks and strategies that could help you on your next trip. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Thanks for all the information. Your a class act pal. Thanks for sharing 👍
.
Great video
The way you explain your methods and techniques is spot on, not a lot of guys on RUclips are able to do that. I'm right up the coast in Virginia Beach and a lot of what you shared is very helpful in this area for winter fishing, and a good reminder for me to not just throw the hard baits that I'm comfortable with. Looking forward to the next video, cheers
Appreciate that Todd! Thanks for watching!
Man you have the best videos! Real, down to earth, and informative! Thanks for helping make me a better fisherman. If you ever want to go fishing hit me up. I am in Creswell.
Great tutorial on the all-important art and science of fish location--if they aren't there, you can't catch 'em! Thanks, and I hope I get to apply this one day!
Thanks for the tips!
Great explanation. I sometimes catch myself going all the way up the creeks. Im near new river and I definitely have been fishing more up the creeks than near the inlets, but mainly because thats where a lot of the gator trout are caught
This is gold! Great information. Thanks.
I don't know about gold, but I'm glad you found something useful in the video. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Love the voiceover and explanations 👍
Thanks Nathan!
Good content. Thanks for sharing it with us. Best if luck
Thank you
Love your videos! Very helpful for this Bassmaster to learn inshore fishing. We were up Blounts Creek last week. We pushed way back up into the clear water and were catching Chain Pickerel and Largemouth every other cast in 50 degree water. What a blast. They were killing 4inch zman diesel minnowz. No monster fish but so many that it was fun.
That sounds like a blast! Thanks for the support!
found your video browsing for trout.
excellent visual description of trout migration in beginning and really like your commentary during video.
i fish down here in south louisiana hopedale, shellbeach and situation pretty much the same, with trout moving inside during winter, never know what if anything they want to bite, lots of hunt and peck. water temp yesterday was 54 ,so they could be anywhere.
john
Thanks for the feedback John, and checking out the channel. Tight lines my friend!
Would you say same holds true (getting up into the creeks) for say up off the Albemarle Sound? Chowan, Perquimans, etc? First year fishing the sound from Kayak - summer and fall were great but looking to figure out the colder months and be able to keep fishing/catching :).
Super informative and Great Quality video man👍🏻 I moved here a little over a year ago, awesome trout pattern explanation. Tight Lines
Thanks man. Hope to see you on the water!
good content thank you

@HaltySalty I'm in your area if you ever want to go catch some. I have a skiff as well as an offshore CC
Definitely always looking to expand my network of anglers. Real time information given and shared can often be the key to good days and bad days of fishing. Hit me up on instagram if you are able.
Another great video and very informative! I will be down in Nags Head from Christmas through New Years and usually fish offshore but the boat is not coming for this trip. Any suggestions for any land based trout fishing within an hours drive of Nags Head? Thanks keep the videos coming
Message me on instagram if you are able. @haltysalty
Good stuff Mr. Halty. Took my first ever trout trip Tues afternoon around Jacksonville on the new. Didn't get on some fish until 4:30.
Do the trout ever get all the way into new bern and the trent?
Yes, in fact there are a few videos on RUclips of guys catching winter trout at the Hwy 17 big bridge in Newbern. I'm not sure about inside, but definitely the creeks east of the bridge.
Did you go today or is this a different day
Hey buddy, this was last Saturday when it blew a gale.
Great video
