So glad you’re giving Let’s Plays another try. Personally I find it easier to digest a short episode rather than 2-3 hours of a stream. Keep up the good work
You know, you don't have to watch the whole 3 hours in 1 sitting ;) Current schedule seems good for LP production, as long as that stays true it should keep coming.
It's Haven... but not as we know it! I was surprised there were no Angels in this faction, but then realised that upgraded Griffins were called Seraphs. Wow. Great return to LPs with a really interesting game!
There's actually a special building for Order to sacrifice a Human unit and some Artifacts to make them into an Idol, basically an Angel, with specific traits depending on the unit and artifacts sacrificed. You can only have one though. But if you're a different faction and capture an Order town, you can make an Idol of your own!
We asked for it and it happened! So, they took the combat from Lords of magic? Makes me really happy. It's also very nice that the combat field is wide enough. It always pained me to no amount that it's impossible to not have your archers blocked on the first turn and no space to maneuver them. I also really like those tiny workers bringing resources from mines to the castle :D Why are unit sprites so low-res though? Pixelization for the sake of pixelization? They could easily go with Illwinter size of sprites imo. I guess this video was supposed to be named "What if HoMM3, but you can't find you ore pit"? :D
This video should be named Order 1, but I wanted the title to mention HoMM so the HoMM-exclusive crowd knows this MIGHT interest them. The title is what it is because the game is "What if HoMM3 but with a different combat system".
3:05 - Boarding and exiting a ship in this game do NOT take all of your movement for the turn like it does in HoMM. That's what he means by 'Naval isn't as annoying'. Almost nobody uses a ship in HoMM if they can help it (if you're smart, because it wastes a minimum of two turns per trip for that army, one to board and one to get off).
The problem with those types of games is they are constantly reminding you how great the original Heroes were, to the point you would rather play it again instead.

There are angels and they look like griffins.

I would not, no, but to each his own.
Cool
1:09 - He says Heroes of Might & Magic III, but visually it looks more like Heroes II.
It looks like neither, to be fair. Games aren't primarily defined by their graphics though - the game mechanics make the game.
@@Simpelicity I'm more surprised that this game works as well as it does on older PCs.
@@SBaby well, indie games are usually pretty light.
How old is your PC?
@@Simpelicity Let's put it this way. I'm running Windows 7.
@@SBaby I see XD
