      Appreciate the suggestion! I’m using a Shure MV88+ mic, which was the best I could get for mobile audio recording. It has settings I need to play with, however. The video is recorded in 4k, but you have to make sure your player is set to play in 4k. Saving up for a better camera will take time, unfortunately. Thanks for stopping by 👍🏼

    What's the difference between 1.4G Pro and regular consumer fireworks other than the former being electronic ignition ready?

    • @JDPyrotechnics
      @JDPyrotechnics 5 месяцев назад

      1.4pro allows for 1,000gram cakes or 1,000gram sections in compound cakes. It also allows for salutes. Some 1.4pro is reclassified 1.3 product so can perform much better than regular 1.4

    • @SilverStagPyro

      Other commenter has about as good of answer as I could give ya! 👍🏼. They also have the amount of grams they say they do. Rather than consumer, should say “up to” ___ grams.

    • @SilverStagPyro
      @SilverStagPyro  Месяц назад

      I had made a little 200 gram cake holder. They were all placed tightly in that. But you can do it simply by sticking a dowel rod into the ground and zip tying the tube to it (if the ground is dry). 👊🏽

    Silver stag piro, I’m going to respect your response. None of this makes since to me.

    • @SilverStagPyro
      @SilverStagPyro  5 месяцев назад +1

      Sure thing! It’s kind of confusing at first. I took the 1.4 g pro/articles of pyrotechnics class so it would open up more fireworks that you are not typically able to get at a regular store. I wanted to also be able to obtain cakes that had the eport (for electric firing without having to spike the cake.). Also, when/if you get into doing small shows, the articles of pyro allows you to purchase single shots/slices/and cakes that are all one effects so it gives me more control of the show. With consumer, you typically get several shots, then a finale at the end of the cake, and that doesn’t always workout well in the middle of shows. Further, when buying consumer, just because a cake says 200 grams, it really means “up to” 200 grams, for example. 1.4g pro/articles are packed (you can tell right away when picking them up). For a 1 day ($99) class, I felt it was worth it, so I could explore these other options, and make sure I knew how to safely use them 👍🏼. Plus, I love demoing them here on YT for everybody.
      I hope this helps…it’s hard to hit all the points in a comment.

    • @SilverStagPyro
      @SilverStagPyro  5 месяцев назад +1

      As far as cost..I feel it is less expensive just for the fact that they are filled, you are able to get air bursts, and they don’t print all the fancy/colorful labels, so hopefully those savings are passed on to the consumer. For example, that 200 gram crackle cake only cost me $9.50.

    • @chrisfisk2373
      @chrisfisk2373 5 месяцев назад

      That’s pretty cheap for a 200 gram cake from where a come from. In Pennsylvania we have to pay a 18% tax on fireworks. I bought some in Maine last fall and they only charged 2.5% tax.

    • @SilverStagPyro
      @SilverStagPyro  5 месяцев назад

    How does the 1.4 pro 200 gram cake compare in cost to to regular 1.4 consumer 200 gram cakes?

    • @Ohio_Hobbies_Guy
      @Ohio_Hobbies_Guy 5 месяцев назад

      They are the same. Proline cakes are not bigger than consumer like people think. They are special single effect or single color cakes (for the most part) they are typically designed for scripted shows and pyromusicals.

    • @JDPyrotechnics
      @JDPyrotechnics 5 месяцев назад +3

      That's incorrect. 1.4pro allows for 1000gram cakes, and compounds can have 1000gram per section.

    • @Ohio_Hobbies_Guy
      @Ohio_Hobbies_Guy 5 месяцев назад

      @@JDPyrotechnics that 1000 grams doesn't mean anything. The shell size is the difference. And between consumer and Proline, there's no difference.

    • @JDPyrotechnics
      @JDPyrotechnics 5 месяцев назад +1

      @NENWOhioPyro more powder in those same sized shells/flash broken makes for a huge difference.
      You can't tell me that a cake from phantom and a flower King cake are the same

    • @Ohio_Hobbies_Guy
      @Ohio_Hobbies_Guy 5 месяцев назад

      @JDPyrotechnics I hate to inform you but those cakes have the exact same amount of powder per shell as consumer limits do. It's 30 grams per shell maximum. The only difference is a higher shot count. The breaks are the same size as consumer. Take a consumer cake with 1.2 inch bores and fire it next to a 1.2 bore proline cake. Same sized breaks. People need to actually read the regulations to understand what 1000 grams means. It's being sold as bigger but It's not.

    RIP 1.4 Pro it was fun while it lasted. In an attempt to lessen confusion over the double UN0336 designations, the APA along with DOT’s PHMSA, has opted to suspend the UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only designation going forward. Products that have been already issued EX number will continue to be valid for the time being, but no new products will be approved as “1.4G UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only.” Why would they do this.. well "The concern among the industry is that “1.4G UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only” will find their way into the hands of untrained individuals" which is kind of proven in this video.

      We have pathetic bureaucrats who always have to feel like they’re saving us from something because in reality, they do nothing for us, but drain our tax dollars from our pockets and waste it all on stuff that doesn’t benefit us in any way, shape or form….#DEFUND THE ATF & REPEAL THE NFA!!! This is America ATF should be the name of a convenience store not a federal agency…. If we continue to let these bureaucrats trample all over our rights, they’ll have us registering cap guns and & buying tax stamps for sparklers…. The ATF has been running wild the last few years as they’ve been embolden with so much power they think they’re a lawmaking entity now banning pieces of plastic…… this is what happens when we don’t hold our bureaucrats accountable. THIS IS ALSO WHY WE’RE GIVING HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS A MONTH TO DESPOTIC MURDEROUS REGIMES LIKE ISRAEL TO COMMIT GENOCIDE ON PALESTINIAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN …. and gifting them hundreds of billions extra a year to pay for their universal healthcare when we’re not allowed to use our own tax dollars for our own healthcare. It’s insane …. That’s what happens when our politicians become financially enslaved by billionaire Zionist groups like AIPAC….#DRAIN THE SWAMP…. Believe it or not many of the same groups, ruined Pyro for us too…. Billionaire Zionist, Bruce Zoldan, with his tax dodging company “PHANTOM GARBAGE FIREWORKS” is Single-handedly responsible for hundreds of mom and Pop shops, and true American Fireworks businesses being destroyed with phantoms underhanded tactics bait and switch marketing & lobbying to get what they want and putting absolutely nothing back into our American economy literally making billions a year off deception and somehow avoiding paying taxes and even trying to file bankruptcy when they’re having some of their best years ever…. Disgusting. They’re now doing the same thing with professional Pyro….. and they’ve directly been involved in helping to run 1.4 pro because they haven’t found a way to profit off of it and want to control consumer and 1.3…. Do some deep searches on the Internet you’ll find what I’m talking about is 100% truth.
