I would implement a ranking system per city for the best donator. And now you have a black mirror episode.

Honestly I think this better! Because you actually know they aren’t being scam artist because I’ve heard stories where you know some people “pretend” to be homeless cuz quick cash for them 😒
This way people actually stop to help! I feel bad when I can’t donate to someone who is homeless but this way actually not only helps me understand them! But they have a case worker watching how the money being used in a proper way! So helps people get back on their feet ❤️

This is an absolutely great idea., Bring it to Leicester soon we need something like this. At the moment I save my loose change then give it to someone. The problem with that I rarely have much change as nearly everything is paid for cashless. Having all this managed for these people would also make me inclined to donate more.

I think this is an awesome idea...it gives you an background story to the homeless... hope they have a way to screen the homeless to make sure they are homeless or not... the society now is more on the digital side....there are some that carries cash and some are just digital.... hope this idea will help out the homeless population 😃

Silly idea, just give the bloke some quid or don't give it to him. No need for weird IDs, plus at the next stage, they'll make the homeless wear barcodes.

ProjectDystopia I understand what you mean, and what about privacy. You dehumaniz them that way.
There are also benefits though. They are not able to by drugs or alcohol from the money they get. So I think they will not use that card so much. And when they use it than i think they want to improve.
      So what to do????

    • @ProjectDystopia
      @ProjectDystopia 5 лет назад +1

BiZzZ Y, if you they want to buy drugs & alcohol, let them. We are not here to police another person's buying habits. People are in pain emotionally, some people overeat and some people do drugs to quell that pain. If there was a heavy-set & overweight homeless person, would you police their buying habits at the supermarket? Would you say "you can only buy vegetables with the money I give you." Where would this policing end? It's best not to begin policing them, either you give them the money or your don't.

But what about addiction, what if they don't can break the habit themselves.
Although i think the same way as you.

BiZzZ Y, I hear what you're saying, however addiction is not the issue of the giver of the money, though. That's why I said 'either give them the money or you don't.' I wish we could solve all of the social ills of society by simple gestures, but we can't.

Wow.! Amazing idea. I always hesitate to donate to homeless because i don't know if they are honest or just trying to skim money. This will help people like us to better judge the needs of the person before donating.

Here's a strange one. I came acrost a homeless guy and he actually had a smart phone with a card reader. He asked me for a couple of dollars and I said I only have plastic. He said no problem, showed me his card swipe. I refused due to the fact it could be a card scam. A homeless guy is the last person I want to have my card numbers.

Since they don't have to save up for necessities, I worry that this scheme will allow the homeless to spend the cash they do receive on alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes.
Also, I don't want to get my phone nicked.

That's exactly why I don't give money to the homeless where I live. I'll buy them food but that's it. The people here panhandling are junkies. You can tell just by looking at them. Giving them money just enables their addiction. I always see them slumped over behind buildings, some still have the needle stuck in their arm ! It's pretty bad...

@@petroldevo9934 I stopped giving money. You find you're just conned. It's nice to help people when you see how grateful they are. But unfortunately the fakes, or the fact it'll likely go on 🚬 🍻💉 puts me off. You're just feeding that. I don't like people who take advantage of kind people either
