@@luckyduck2928 hot foods and healthy foods are hard to come by. Showers suck cause people fight over showers. But clothing and housing is very important. I would be talking and working with homeless people.
When I was homeless, the best thing someone ever gave me was a ziploc bag. In that bag was a pair of socks, a little baggie with a week’s worth of vitamins, a pack of bath wipes, and a five dollar bill. If I hand’t been so weak with pneumonia, I swar I would have jumped up and kissed the man who handed it to me. The vitamins did help me get a little energy back, the socks kept my feet warm, the bath wips kept my spirits up because i didn’t stink to high heaven, and the $5 got me a decent meal for the first time in weeks. Mind you, decent at that time was a couple of burgers and a drink off the McDonald’s dollar menu, but to me, it was amazing. The same person came back around a week later with the same bag of goodies, but included one more thing in my bag…a business card. It was for the Knight Ministry and I gave it to my husband, who gave it to the camp leader. And after I got the diagnoiss of walking pneumonia, the camp leader called them and they had me in a shelter getting the rest I needed to get better in a week. If I ever see the man again who gave me those two baggies, he better watch out because I’d bowl him over and hug and kiss him. He saved my life…I’m pretty sure that’s literally.
I'm so happy you overcame your ordeal and that you found such wonderful help. The Universe puts all kinds of wonderful earth angels in our path when we need it most, that's for certain. May you always lived blessed, peacefully, and protected 🙏💗
If hotels would just donate their older amenties (little bars of soap, shampoo, conditioners, shower caps, mending kits). Every hotel i worked in would have old extras...and stained sheets, etc
Being homeless myself at this time I can tell you for a fact, no matter what this video says (i've not watched it all yet) the #1 thing you can give to a homeless person (or anyone) is respect. We are all humans and sometime a simple "Hello" without looking down on them is all that a person may need that day. (BTW, This is a great list)
Coddling the homeless is the last thing they need, tough love, close down the soup kitchens and shelters and you'll see how quickly these people start taking care of themselves
I make homeless bags that I leave in my car trunk. For about $25.00 at Dollar Tree I can make 5 bags. Items included are: Maxi pads, Vienna sausages, candy, socks, bottle water, juice box, pudding, chips, tuna meal with crackers and some sort of dessert pastry as well as a pack of chewing gum. Because I am a Christian, I also leave a Gospel tract with encouraging messages and put stickers on the bag that says " God loves you just because you are you." I've seen so many faces light up when I give these out and most people are super grateful for the gesture. I'm going to start putting baby wipes in now that I watched this video. I didn't even stop to think that was much needed. Plus thanks for pointing me to Target for the mini first aid kits. I'm going to start putting those in too! Thanks for the suggestions!
You might consider adding things like soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, nail clippers, deodorant, scissors, and perhaps a small hand-held mirror, so that people can clean themselves properly and take care of their personal hygiene... Long Live CHRIST The King ❤️
Genuine question, what’s wrong with what he shared? Its not a condemning message but a comforting one. Im sure many will be touched and feel at least abit better, despite their situation, alongside the other things he gives. And if someone doesn’t like it, they can ignore or do something else with it, I’m not sure.. just want to know why you think this is a bad thing?
Yes these are great ideas! W all the camping gear out there, outdoors stores w tougher and more equipment is ideal. I need to fundraise bc lost my job so thinking of setting up a display showing some videos and filling wish lists w donations if ppl stop
Due to a horrendous auto accident I was semi homeless in L.A. for many months. I bought a vechile to stay in but could only afford a motel two nights a week. Fast food and restruant gift cards were such a blessing. I flew to CA so my disabled son from the auto accident would be safe while he got medical treatment. We stayed Inn the ER parking lot. The security knew the situation and were always very kind even bringing us snacks and waters. One person gave us a gift card to get gasoline. He was in the hospital a year and a half. Then was put on outpatient status where He had to check into the clinic daily for dressing changes and wound check. That's when I flew out and bought the vechile we stayed in. It was tough but we were very consciousness about being quiet and non disruptive. The security officer told me it's not uncommon for the medically needy to live in the hospital parking lot.
4:01 PLEASE break the awkwardness you feel and reach out to a homeless person. Connection is the only thing that helps stave off what feels like a terminal alienation when you are homeless
It's less awkwardness and more fear. Whenever I see a homeless person I don't know what to expect, if they will try to stab me with a needle, steal my wallet, be pumped up on drugs, or if they are just a normal person in a bad situation. thats why more people dont approach homeless
@@FCBarcelonaXMI Its more likely the homeless would get attacked than then attack you. If they are obviously high and cant control themselves don't approach if that scares you as obviously the drugs can make people act weirdly, but please mental illness and homelessness is something that needs to be de stigmatised. I was once homeless and the feeling that you are garbage and that you're not even worthy of eye contact is the most soul destroying thing you can experience. Maybe volunteer at a soup kitchen this Xmas it will soon change your mind on how you approach homeless. Hopefully your fear won't hold you back from offering a hello or even just a smile honestly you'd be shocked at how much of a difference that can make.
@@FCBarcelonaXMI that's in your head. Most homeless people are sober, and you have more risk of being shot by a middle-class white male than you do being hurt by a homeless person, yet you're not scared when you see a white dude, I bet.
@@InvisiblePeople that's sounds like a racist comment friend. What statistic did you use or are you arbitrary coming up with the info; i.e. making it up.
Donating at a food pantry I asked what the number one item asked for that they ran out quickly of and was told it was toilet roll, so I'd buy 3 or 4 packs of 36 rolls, filling my truck with then..I was called the TP king...to give without expectation always ALWAYS LIFTS THE SOUL.
This was very helpful! I founded a nonprofit last year to serve the homeless community in my city. I give tennis shoes, socks and bus tickets but I also give first aid kits, manicure kits, deodorant, face and body wipes, rain ponchos, journals and pens. I’m working on receiving consistent donations to start buying gifts cards to places like subway. Giving is a gift and I love serving our neighbors ❤
when we look at homeless people sleeping on the floor and begging in the streets, we're repulsed by their mere presence. We don't realize that they are missing these basic necessities that we take for granted, begging for these very things. I'm also guilty but I hope in the near future I can contribute more
Dude I freaking love that people are out here making videos like this. I met a homeless person yesterday, he was calling out to people asking if they knew where the Taco Bell was and everyone was ignoring him. I didn’t know where it was and I didn’t have my phone on me so i wasn’t able to look it up for him. But I just talked with him for a bit and I gave him my attention and told him to be careful out there. I’m glad the best thing you could give was your positive attention. Cause that’s all I had at the time
Thank you for these public services. I hope you can continue to move people to the realities of homelessmess. You erase stereotypes and garner true empathy instead of a distant sympathy
Great video as always Mark! One of the things that meant the most to me when I was experiencing homelessness was a camping product called "Travel Johns" which are disposable urinals. They can be used by men, women & kids. They come 3 to a pack, start out at the size of a candy bar and will expand as needed. The best thing is they have this powder in them that when exposed to liquid it becomes this thick gel constancy that doesn't spill and absorbs odors. For women this is a miracle. It can be used sitting, kneeling or standing. Can be hidden by a skirt, a blanket or baggy jeans. Any camping supply store or Amazon have them.
I've seen too many turn around and use it for booze, drugs, even cigarettes'. I'm not buying those for myself or anyone else. I'll buy them meals and sit down with them to fellowship. Or I'll buy them items they need that won't harm them, and shop with them in the store. Spending that time allows us to get acquainted and I can then connect them to other friends who can help and socialize with them.
Chips, water, peanut butter and crackers, trashbags to protect clothing in rain, tarps, blankets, recycled cushions for outdoor furniture for beds. Tents and gift cards to get out of weather. Membership to gyms for showers . Baby wipes , Information for places giving hot meals and other resources Free government phone access Food stamps and medicaid applications
I've worked in social services with unhoused folks for a couple decades and a few other things I keep handy are bus/subway tokens, travel size sunblock and lotion, and frozen iced water. Keep up the amazing work, brother🖐🏾💗💋
God loves the homeless. They are somebody’s son or daughter. They are your fellow human sisters and brothers. These are great suggestions Mark! God bless you!🙏🏻
God, according to Christian mythology, is in control of everything including the devil. If it’s the devil doing this and god controls the devil then it comes back to god, doesn’t it?
@@mattalley4330 no myth my friend. All historically verifiable. It’s all about relationship, not just control. People who are out of relationship with God are sitting ducks for Satan, demonic influences, and calamity. It’s anything but control- we have a free choice: God’s way, or the way of the world. Until you’ve read every word of the Bible, how can you stand in judgement of it or criticize what it says? Read, think, decide. Make an informed decision. It’s all there. Peace to you in your quest for the truth. ❤️
This needs to be something taught in schools. Because everyone can become homeless. I have seen wealthy people become homeless. We need to have more education on this and have field days to help out. Anybody who throws hot coffee or spits on a homeless person is pure evil. Hopefully they get what's coming to them. I feel horrible whenever I see homeless people because I have no clue what to do to help them. Everybody's first instinct is they want money and they will use it for drugs and booze. I get it. But still, channels like this are beyond valuable. We are all on this rock together. It is a team effort.
im homeless and barely survived last 2 nights due to hypothermia, id say something to keep warm is of the greatest importance now that winter has arrived. (besides food) thanks for lifechanging support may all homeless find their home 🙌🌞💛
@@jnolette1030 thank you, im in Europe hence far from the America's however i would certeinly rather be homeless in your country because there are more oppertunities. luckily never used drugs, ever, just been unlucky with finding a source of income since 2020.
@@Yeshua144 I was in Geneva, Switzerland in May and June my parents have house near Meinier it's beautiful there I would love there forever if I could!
a few years back you suggested giving away socks to homeless so i started keeping a pack in my trunk (til the pandemic hit then i wasnt around too many people in need.. I work sign spinning gigs on the weekend now and see sooooooooo many homeless every day walk by. i give people who look really exhausted one of my frozen bottles of water now. i really wish i could do more to change the system that disenfranchises them and marginalizes them in the first place but not many people actually have that ability to make real change in our society... but im always down to try and make someone's day easier
I used to get a gallon size ziploc and id pack deodorant, shampoo ,conditioner, a bar of soap, socks, razors ,toothbrush ,and toothpaste, a pack of wipes ,and of course socks along with a cup of noodles and a fork. Id also put in a snack . Sometimes batteries flashlights oh tylenol or advil... For womens bags id put in sanitary napkins ,and a brush. Sometimes combs for a dude. My inspiration was getting a bag like this while i was panhandling off the freeway. Sometimes we'd get ponchos and blankets or sleeping bags . But I was saved from prostitution drug addiction and domestic violence and homelessness because of Jesus so id also put in a Daily Bread. Love you ❤️
In areas that are about to head into winter staying dry is one of the most important things homeless people have to deal with. I live in an area that only gets about three actually snowy days per winter, so a lot of people are not equipped with coats, footwear, etc when the weather gets wet and cold. Tarps can be life saving when it comes to staying dry in winter. I've spoken to several homeless people who've talked about feeling like they were going to die of hypothermia on their first snowy nights with no way to stay dry. Another good reason to talk to homeless people in your area- their needs are going to be different depending on the region you live in.
My group provides food and supplies to a local encampment, so their situation is a little different in terns of being able to cook, but I can tell you 2 things they love to get: Pop tarts and batteries (AA or AAA). Thank you for all you do!
My homeless years taught me to value Hot Hands™ chemical hand warmers, they come in blaze orange packs, just open the pack take out the little bag and shake it up to activate. They come in foot and body warmer versions too. They've saved my life and limbs on many a winter night on the street and they're pretty cheap and lightweight
Magnificent video and so educational. The most important thing to give others is your time, hope, compassion, encouragement, your empathy. There is a medicine for both people when a warm hug or embrace is shared. All people in trouble need help. Food, drink, clothing, medical supplies, the list is endless but never forget the free gift of friendship. Try to make a habit of meeting those in need more often. Ask how they are, learn about them and remind them that they are still cared for, appreciated and loved. God bless this channel.❤❤❤🙏🏾
@@jameshickey100 yes, very. I saw two UFOs while I was there and I stayed in front of two lights at an apartment complex because it gave off heat at night. I didn't sleep because I was alone, but during the day it wasn't so bad. I ate food at restaurants and was calling home. It's an experience I never want to go through again.
I have spent over half my adult life homeless. the best things to give a homeless person. A place to stay. a job without an interview process. Socks. Ziplock bags. Waterproof things. Tampons. gift cards to stores and coffee shops. Solar powered phone charger banks. Military bags. Rolling bags. Medical supplies. Wet wipes. The best thing someone ever gave me when homeless was a gym membership. It gave me a place to always shower and change and exercise and just sit.
I have given out many bags to help homeless. I give several bottles of water, pouches of tuna and chicken. I don't like tuna but it's protein, healthy, and if you are hungry, it will satiate hunger. I give some cheese and crackers, individually wrapped peanut butter packets, ritz crackers. I do give pop top cans of green beans or peas, and I have given no sugar added applesauce cups, or fruit cups like pears/peaches. I give out individually wrapped flushable wipes, prepasted tooth brushes, comb, bandaides, small antibiotic ointment and lip balm. I even give out no water bathing wipes/shampoo caps. I also give out individually wrapped plastic knife/fork/spoon with salt/pepper to eat the food with. And because mine is a Christian ministry, I give a very small New Testament Bible, Bible Tract, and a pair of reading glasses. It get a lot in those bags. People may disagree about the Bible, but hey, if nothing else, they at least get a pair of reading glasses, and they can throw the Bible away if they prefer.
Gracias por apoyar a toda esa gente vulnerable, no sabe si uno puede acabar así,pero uno por el momento hechandole ganas a la vida, saludos a todos los homeless, bendiciones

I keep cereal in my truck to hand out. Raisin bran is what I normally keep because it's the most fortified cereal. The majority of people are grateful for it. It can be humbling in a strange and profound way to help others like this. In that moment you are serving them.
I donated to the homeless while working at circle k. As long as they asked and were respectful to our store I would give them free food that we had to throw away all the time and drinks from the fountain. I just didn’t like catching them steal from our store and do drugs in the bathroom. Unfortunately a lot of homeless people smoke in public gas station restrooms and the employees have to clean up after them. Have a great day everyone!!
God bless you my friend. You’re work is amazing and the world needs more of you and empathy. People don’t realize their lives can flip in a blink of an eye and end up homeless too.
I live in NJ right across the water from NYC - middle class and poor here squeezed into oblivion by high rises and greedy landlords. We have more homeless than ever on the main drag of my old neighborhood. Years ago, we had a handful of homeless and the local businesses took fed and clothed them - they were our neighbors and we greeted them by name. Now I see so many addicted and mentally ill, elderly and young. The restaurants don’t feed unless paid, up to $20 for a plate of chicken and rice. Where is my community? I give out cash and hugs; I have a roof over my head so it’s the least I can do.
Thank you for this video. I saw a homeless man today in Culver City with no shoes or socks on and it broke my heart. I went walking up Washington looking for somewhere that I could buy shoes for him and after watching a few videos, I've learned that the shoes would just be stolen. So, hopefully, if I see him again, I'll give him socks.
I used to donate to Group that would distribute To many.1 man Who seemed homeless to this woman was the most thing for A pillow not a big pillow I think it was only about 12" by 12". He said he had not had a pillow in some time. He did not mind it being Covered in a children's fabric. I made the pillow myself which made me feel so special So to the source out there A pillow might be the best thing you give to someone
I used to be homeless. The best things are things that last. If you want to give somebody shoes, don't give them tennis shoes. Give them sturdy boots. Don't give ankle socks give full size thick socks. And so on. Anything you would wear to camp or work, is stuff I wore every day as a homeless person.
Another important thing is that many people who are homeless have a pet/pets. I work in MH and recently found a free mobile pet service for a homeless client - they were fantastic yet limited in what they could continue to provide due to lack of funding. Pets are so important for emotional health, and more funding needs to go into homeless people with pet babies
Thank you for what you do. My sister is homeless on the other side of the country. 64 and needs hip replacement but she can’t make doctors appointment so she is in pain. I help where I can but it’s not enough to change her living situation. I am heading to target tomorrow to buy supplies and give them in her name THANK YOU
I say give money. I myself am homeless, but I am homeless because I have financial burdens that put me here. I have a storage unit with a lot of my possessions in that I can hardly afford, but it also houses something that keeps me sane in my drum set.
Volunteer with Bear Clan (Beaver Hills House) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I occasionally go to encampments. But mainly work in the kitchen making sandwiches hotdogs and different kinds of food that gets donated. But tents and tarps are amazing to give out when we get them. Muffins and potato chips are very appreciated!
Man I know this one of a couple, he would not take my smokes, $, or food. he finally took some $, I could tell 100% he was not doing drugs or alcohol. He inspired me, he is happy. I saw him sleeping outside of the store in a blanket. What is the best blanket for a homeless during winter time? Even if they take my $, I do not judge them, if you need it, you need it. You got my sub, doesn't mean anything, but still. You have a kind soul and heart. Most folk just look down on the homeless. "They spit on them and pour hot coffee on them" oh it is going down if I see this. These people are barely surviving and these evil people know they have not enough strenfth'/life to fight back, so they bully them.
if they are around a grocery store ill ask em what they want and buy some items for them. Going into stores is a trial for people. I have anxiety going to public places.
Thank you for this video. I am pleased to see that the invisible people project is growing and covers more and more needs. Helping someone out is always a good thing and I wish more people would be engaged in donating or any other methods to support homeless in America. God bless you
We went Sunday with our Church to hand out food, i went over and asked a male &, female we bring what we think you need what do you want or need. He told me clothes & hygiene products she told me bug spray the area they are at has a big wooded area and the bugs are bad. That i can relate to that always bit me. I had 1 bottle of deep woods off in my car i gave it to her and we went and bought 6 more plus another one i had in my tackle box Plus we bought a bunch of tooth brushes and tooth paste and were getting a case of petsonal wipes Friday a t Sams club.
I can vouch the truth when he said by helping someone, you're in a better place. Helping others feels good, and I tend to avoid people most times, but the homeless are much more honest and don't diddly-doodle about. God bless them all, pray for them because times are coming anyone outside a shelter will be in dire need. Be ready to open your doors.
Bleeding heart do-gooders need to stop feeling sorry for the homeless, stop giving them money and food, close down the soup kitchens and shelters and you'll see how quickly these people start taking care of themselves
@@swolfe9668 I think God may have a word to say on this, but that's up to you and Him. Christ said by helping others you helped Him. I don't give cash to the homeless, but things they do need. I work at Walmart and I rang a customer up today told me he buys towels and wash cloths for people who need help or have been burned out etc. He said that was the most difficult to get donated.
Some less often mentioned items that are a bit more expensive but may prove useful to people on the streets. Solar powered items like shavers, flashlights, etc, wind up flashlights exist too, no batteries required. Everyone on the streets can't use these but some may be interested, detailed wild edible plant guides are another idea. I learned about wild food foraging, there can be a lot of free food around if you know what to look for and depending on where you are and what season it is. Wild medicinal plant guides are another option as well. To really learn wild food foraging you usually need more than one book, a really detailed book of photos of plants (Audubon guides to flowers or trees are helpful), and then others with the info about what is edible and medicinal. Also along with wild food foraging if people can be taught what to look for eventually they can also gather wild food seeds and spread them around, basically grow their own wild food garden.
You are an incredible inspiration! My God thank you for making this video. My life is in a lot of turmoil right now but giving had always been a way to bring happiness back in my life. I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and I go to Costco and get their pack of wool socks, hand and toe warmers, and hats. Cold weather gear is essential where I live! My own nephew lost part of his toe from being in the cold for two nights.
Money, wet wipes, and cold drinks here in yuma. I also give out cigarettes they are greatly appreciated.Hygiene products tush wipes. Like you say their needs are different youve got to ask. Most homeless ive met wont take what they dont need. We as a people have to push our government to get these people off the streets and into to affordable housing. Instead of sending so much to other countries right now. The homeless population is increasing daily. If everyone would just contribute a little it would add up to alot. It takes love and empathy. God bless you for making people aware. Be safe

Give rtarps, to keep the person dry, Give food cards so they can go inside and be warm. Talk to them and pray for them. Compassion goes a long way. So many are being affected across the USA and they are learning what it feels like to lose all you have. Prayers.
On Amazon or eBay you can get a portable bottle mounted camping stove and kit for like 20 dollars. A lot of these kits have a bull, plate, spork, mini spatula and a mini cooking pot. It really opens up the doors for cooking simple things like eggs, warning up canned foods, or making some instant hot coffee, and brewing tea. It's a great way for someone to warm themselves up. (Note, never use a camping stove as a heater) it's amazing how much hot food or drinks warm you up when you're cold.
Another thing I give is ziplock bags. They only need two-three 1 gallon bag and a few smaller ones. Keeping charger and phone dry is important when it rains.
Being a former homeless person, my suggestions are definitely socks and underwear as well as the reliable TP. Any kind of portable food like Clif bars are always welcome too. Gift cards like McDonald's are something the homeless definitely need because food stamps can and do run out. And don't be afraid to talk to someone either. Even if it's just "Hello how are you?" will make anyone's day. Not everyone will return the favor but it doesn't hurt. Just my two cents from someone who's been there.
I would add that many can't eat crunchy foods, including fresh whole fruits like apples and crunchy granola bars. Many have bad or no teeth. Try applesauce, or soft muffins (unfrosted cupcakes work) for that. Or sandwiches made from really soft bread, not crunchy baguettes. I make something called "Smash-up " (chicken or beef), which is 4 lbs potatoes mashed the old fashioned way to 1 can Campbell's very thick hearty beef stew or chicken pot pie "stew" or similar thick n creamy stew, not soup. (Too watery.) Mix together and it's like Shepherds pie without the crust. Served up in those small 1 pint single serve white paper folding topv"to go" boxes, it's the bomb. Folks can eat it with a spoon. Oh, add potassium salt to taste also. This eases leg cramps.
Dog food we cant forget about there animals . The animals are very important not only for protection but for LOVE. Animals are a blessing and they help also.
Perfectly informative. Thanks so much. I lived in my car for a few years; I consider anyone in similar or worse circumstances to be my brethren and family. We all need to look out for each other, and it's helpful to know the best ways we can benefit those we care about.
Thank you for what you do, I was homeless for 10 years and must agree that all of these items are very important especially the socks and the underwear. I remember one time somebody was handing out those little of military style P 38 can openers and that was a big help because they fit in your pocket and not everybody has a can opener laying around. Hey Mark great idea getting sponsors! I gave a box of pop tarts to a guy once and you'd have thought he won the lottery! I have homeless clients that need transit cards/bus tickets. always. Hand warmers in the winter are good.
What an amazing video! Thank you so much for sharing this excellent information! The work is so very important and impactful. Thank you for continuing to do so much to help the homeless!
Many Homeless individuals have Pets , so I would say that giving them Pet food and perhaps a Dog Bed would be very much appreciated. Don't forget our furry little friends.🐕🐈🐰
I am 51, terminally ill, my Father is a Homeless Man living in Santa Monica. I have not heard from him since I was 12. His name is Stephen D. Vandermade and I can't get any help to connect with him. The shelter that he uses for his mail won't even give him a short note giving him my contact info. I don't even know if he is still alive. I saw he was arrested in 2012, can't find anything on him since. Won't somebody from I.P help me be able to forgive and say farewell to my long lost Father? :(
Praying for you, that you will find your father and reconnect and that you will surrender to Christ if you haven't already...that you will see your need for Him, believe in Him as your Savior and that He will fill you with peace and comfort and that you will know He is a Father to the fatherless. We've all fallen short of God's Holiness and can't go to Heaven with our good works, we need Jesus to be our righteousness. I'm hoping you find so much peace and comfort, as I have. Also, your name is very cool!
Socks and underwear, water, hat head beanies, can openers!! Small cast iron frying pan, You got it spot on, batteries, flashlights, yes gift cards to a coffee shop so they can charge a phone and use a bathroom… First aide kits, warm clothing for cold weather, waterproof spray, these are a short list of items that are essential to some of the ‘homeless population’ and.. please think twice before you judge them, they all have a different background and story, these are some smart people who figure out a way to survive a different lifestyle. ❤️
I live in Beverly Hills and I give the homeless near me Mulino Bianco Pan Di Stelle Cocoa Biscuits and Nespresso. Sometimes they ask for a splash of rum in it if it’s chilly out. I if it’s really cold outside like 68° I hand out hand warmers

Great story 🙏💙💙💙💚🌞😁

Being homeless myself at this time I can tell you for a fact, no matter what this video says (i've not watched it all yet) the #1 thing you can give to a homeless person (or anyone) is respect. We are all humans and sometime a simple "Hello" without looking down on them is all that a person may need that day. (BTW, This is a great list)
And, at the very least, eye contact. FFS.
So true!
Coddling the homeless is the last thing they need, tough love, close down the soup kitchens and shelters and you'll see how quickly these people start taking care of themselves
@SWolfe F off, you heartless swine. God forbid you ever find yourself in a place of need
Yes. Respect and convo might save them from suicide, especially those new to bei ng homeless I assume.
How about you give them help without a lecture about their religious beliefs.
You might consider adding things like soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, nail clippers, deodorant, scissors, and perhaps a small hand-held mirror, so that people can clean themselves properly and take care of their personal hygiene...
Long Live CHRIST The King

Genuine question, what’s wrong with what he shared? Its not a condemning message but a comforting one. Im sure many will be touched and feel at least abit better, despite their situation, alongside the other things he gives. And if someone doesn’t like it, they can ignore or do something else with it, I’m not sure.. just want to know why you think this is a bad thing?
YASSS, the Gospel is definitely a much-need. Preparing to give them out with a relief pack too! Let's keep being salt and light to the world!

This brother has been working long and hard for this cause . One day soon Lord willing , something has to Change.
Whoa!!! Awesome 👍
I never knew that, thank you, and hope you're doing well.
You become amazed at how quickly the things you need become scarce when you are homeless. The simplest things, like bottled water are lifesavers.
Thank you. I’m still homeless but I really appreciate you

Don’t fear giving homeless people money. They need it.

@@mattalley4330 no myth my friend. All historically verifiable. It’s all about relationship, not just control. I'm formerly homeless and this is awesome. Even if you just introduce yourself and exchange names it means the world.
This needs to be something taught in schools. Because everyone can become homeless. I have seen wealthy people become homeless. We need to have more education on this and have field days to help out. Anybody who throws hot coffee or spits on a homeless person is pure evil. Hopefully they get what's coming to them.

For sure flash lights and batteries lighters ...etc ...

I donated to the homeless while working at circle k. As long as they asked and were respectful to our store I would give them free food that we had to throw away all the time and drinks from the fountain.
I saw a homeless man today in Culver City with no shoes or socks on and it broke my heart. if they are around a grocery store ill ask em what they want and buy some items for them. Going into stores is a trial for people. I have anxiety going to public places.
God bless you Mark! Your work is priceless!
I had 1 bottle of deep woods off in my car i gave it to her and we went and bought 6 more plus another one i had in my tackle box
Plus we bought a bunch of tooth brushes and tooth paste and were getting a case of petsonal wipes Friday a t Sams club.
It's then on them what they do with it. Love thy neighbor, for neither you or me know when we may end up there as well. God bless!
@@museluvr Based on this & his other comments, @SWolfe is a miserable ghoul.
Thank you for this!!! The homeless in my area love ziplock bags! I make blessing bags every Christmas season for them.
It’s important especially in rainy weather. Plastic bags help get things dry.
@@InvisiblePeople what glasses were you wearing 👓🤔
I work at Walmart and I rang a customer up today told me he buys towels and wash cloths for people who need help or have been burned out etc. He said that was the most difficult to get donated.
I am part of the homeless ministry at my church and I made homemade cookies for them. Indeed they appreciate being seen.and heard.
Not only am i going to continue giving from the little that i have but I'm also going to spread the word as you have so kindly done in this video.
God bless you sir! 🙏❤️🙏
I love you. I'm homeless and also serve meals for them plus get them supplies. I didn't think of some of these things. Thank you for teaching
Freeze dried fruit, instant coffee or drink mix for bottled water is always popular at our Little Free Pantry with our unhoused visitors
You are a good man Mark , keep up the good work !
I have bad vision and bad hearing and a double hernia, must have uncontrolled high blood pressure and pre-diabetes and my teeth are falling out of my head. And I had such nice teeth. All gone because of the city of North Las Vegas shut off my water. And the electric company shut off my electricity. I've never been broke before or homeless and nobody will help me. I've helped people my whole life
Mother of God and Virgin, rejoice!
Hail Mary, full of Grace, the LORD is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, for Thou hast given birth to the Savior of our souls...
❤️
I'm so sorry. I pray God will bless you, believe He will and He will.
I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and I go to Costco and get their pack of wool socks, hand and toe warmers, and hats. Cold weather gear is essential where I live! My own nephew lost part of his toe from being in the cold for two nights.
Number 1 thing homeless need is a blanket here up north so they don’t freeze at night
Be safe
The best item? A job a house and a safe future
I don't have a spare job or house. Plus those won't fit in a backpack.
what a nice and sad video at the same time.....We love the work you are doing for all these humans beings
(((Hugs)))
@@InvisiblePeople thanks you are doing a great job,a couple of nights ago I went to amt and there was a homeless lady and I gave her seroioully,a hundred dollars,a blanlket, and some pizza she was so so Happy ....so just give in this live
Bus passes as in public transport...Smile a hug ....Be kind ....
God bless you for your kind gesture.
Such a positive thing to say, we should give to those who are less fortuneate than ourselves.
Another thing I give is ziplock bags. They only need two-three 1 gallon bag and a few smaller ones. Keeping charger and phone dry is important when it rains.
batteries!!!! where I outreach they are gold! Also .... Small propane Containers. I just discovered single use hand soaps as well...GAME CHANGER!
I learned from you years ago...carry these things in my car Mark! Former homeless living in an RV by a beautiful river .
(Too watery.)
Mix together and it's like Shepherds pie without the crust. Served up in those small 1 pint single serve white paper folding topv"to go" boxes, it's the bomb. Folks can eat it with a spoon. Oh, add potassium salt to taste also. This eases leg cramps.
Such channels are my favourite part of social media. Love this channel, keep making such eye opening videos , full support.
Your passion is great Mark!
But you have to show the person how to use it.😊 -wileycoyote2022
Two minute demo how to use it: m.ruclips.net/video/8McUpNdAOXE/видео.html
Always a smile, positivity ..my favorite thing to give is some peanut butter crackers and something to drink. Mark thank you!🙏
Sir you are amazing, thank you for the service.
Hey Mark great idea getting sponsors! I gave a box of pop tarts to a guy once and you'd have thought he won the lottery! I have homeless clients that need transit cards/bus tickets. always. Hand warmers in the winter are good.
Thank You So Much, God Bless You All!💛😇👑
Thanks for letting us know. I have given money but this is another perhaps better way to help.
What an amazing video! Thank you so much for sharing this excellent information! The work is so very important and impactful. Thank you for continuing to do so much to help the homeless!
Thanks so much for the kind words
I gave out hand santizers to pan handlers and umbrellas to homeless. I have given them food.
i'm with food not bombs and home cooked meals and living supplies are the most appreciated items(: cheers to everyone here, much love
Socks and underwear, water,
hat head beanies, can openers!! Small cast iron frying pan, You got it spot on, batteries, flashlights, yes gift cards to a coffee shop so they can charge a phone and use a bathroom…
First aide kits, warm clothing for cold weather, waterproof spray, these are a short list of items that are essential to some of the ‘homeless population’ and.. please think twice before you judge them, they all have a different background and story, these are some smart people who figure out a way to survive a different lifestyle. ❤️
Yes socks are great! But the best thing to give us is a chance!!
