I liked most of the disharmonious chords - not so much when you were playing them in isolation on your keyboard, but it reminded me of the second chord or the bit where the low horns would come in of the minor christmas songs I grew up within the song context

I think you'd have fun analyzing, "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch," by Small Town Titans. It's a very different version that's a little bluesy, a lot rock and the lead singer spans about 3 octaves in their version.
