Yes Lauren receiving direct from voice play ( you are the undead bride in haunted mansion everyone loves) from the bass gang (you have no soul , you are every first dates worst nightmare overprotective mom letting it be known if her daughter is harmed no one will find the grave they are buried in)
I really like how thorough you are Jen! Peter and yourself are the only two channels I have seen that use the pianos and actually try to recreate notes. It's incredible! On a side note, yes I one hundred percent agree with you that Lauren's voice pulls off the creepy factor very very well.
Holy moly! I had not seen their video before. I always have to remind myself that they each recorded the audio and video in separate locations. Imagine what will happen when they are actually together. And your reactions added so the enjoyment.
The thing that always strikes me when Marwan takes an airplane dive down into the depths is that he’s a *teenager.* Get a few years on him, and you’re going to need an excavator to find the notes he’s going to be able to hit.
IKR, Geoff is like 43 and he has an F1 in chest and B0 as a sub (not really any point to go lower than piano range honestly for mix purposes, the main tone is already cut off, but still), and Marwan is pretty close at the age of 19. He hits a C#1 and he also did a B0 in their P!ATD cover, which means... IDK honestly, like who knows what he'll be able to sing in a few years
I'm so glad you did both the rendition from The Bass Gang and Voiceplay. They are so different from one another, and both deserve individual recognition. I have also no problem with being spoiled by these people 😄
It's amazing how you can shed so much joy and light even with such an eerie and creepy song (though it has been arranged and interpreted masterfully.) Your videos are the "I'm inside *your room* now" section of many a weary and dreadful day, I would bet. Incredible content as usually. I feel sorry for those who do click off the video.
Loved this version, too, so much! Very talented bass gang and I have nothing to say about Lauren. Magnificent! Thank you for this fun and amazing reaction 😊
Another wonderful reaction and analysis Jen. I thought you would get a kick out of this one. I have watched it many times and I still get chills with that ending. Also feel the creepiness throughout
Awwwww ... I so loved yer old Sony headphones. They were identical to the ones I still carry in my backpack for the days when earbuds fail me, and they have AMAAAAAAAAZING audio response!
You're the first one ive seen to recognize Laurens crazy note at the end as a C#6 rather than mistaking it for a C#7 like everyone seems to think it is. Of course i have no shot of hitting any notes she hit in this as my voice is far too deep. But it irks me that so many people mistook it for a higher note. Ridiculously high obviously.
Jennifer! Here! 🙋♂ Yeah interesting to hear this song so soon again. But this one is quite different isn't it? Wow, 10:22 Lauren is coming for *you* with those low notes! 😲 Well let her. I think you can take her in a "bass off". 😅 Lots of surprises in this one for sure. A great song to break in your new headphones! Bloomin' 'eck Jennifer! Even your hair is a bit disheveled at the end of this one! And Halloween isn't here yet ... oh my I fear for Saturday! 😁 Great reaction/analysis as always Jen. 😊
I love how much you were enjoying this! Great reaction and amazing how you caught a bunch of things in the background some others have not. ( Which I'm sure having good headphones really helps! )
Great reaction and analysis! Great insight into the musical techniques. If there had been a vocal teacher like you when I was a wee lad in school, maybe singing wouldn't have been so scary (regretfully I never did join chorus). Oh well. And those who click off early because they don't like the pauses, it's their loss. Looking forward to your next reaction and analysis video with plenty of pauses, insights, and explanations! Thank you.
Hey Jen! I was looking forward to your reaction to this one. I is amazing to me how far the guys have come in such a short time. You are the first reactor I have seen who noticed the Bass-Gang flag on the wall! 👍 The downside of this one being so impressive is that I have nothing to suggest that comes even close. I mean, my usual Ayreon and Blind Guardian suggestions are good, but not really comparable and I think they wouldn't fit here.. 😀
Jen, your messed up hair at the end pretty much sums up this piece. It takes you on a journey. And at the end of it, you feel - and look - like it was a difficult one. Great piece, and equally great reaction and analysis!
Interesting! This was fun to see a different approach. Creepy indeed. No real ghosts though, right? 😉 These guys are so unique and Lauren is as well. Very creative, too. Um. Is this something we should start to expect? 18:51? 🤣
Never thought I'd say it, but I think I actually prefer this version to Voiceplay's. I mean, it's obviously lower budget, but it's way, way creepier. It's like the ghost of Overly Attached Girlfriend and a bunch of ventriloquist dummies, which are already massively creepy at the best of times. Terrifying.
I think the Voiceplay one is like a fun, creepy, mysterious children ghosts who want to play, and this one is like an uncanny, unsettling, creepy vibe. Where Voiceplay put much on the fun side I think, and this put much on the unsettling creepy side. If I have to visualize it, the Voiceplay one would be the little girl ghost with wornout white ruffle dress and holds her worn out teddy bear with a creepy unblinking eyes (but still squinted a little from the grinning) and maniac(?) grin. And the BassGang one would be the uncanny ghost lady in an old hotel or hospital, wearing worn out white simple dress with her uncanny expression (unblinking wide eyes with no smiling) who loves to appear out of the blue in the darkness
whilst tis the same song, the Bass Gang's version has a completely different feel from Voiceplay's version, both are good. To be fair Lauren excells in the mousy squeaky vocals for singing in her apartments stairwell. Edit: The varying singing styles in the vid are good. Edit 2@:Jenn thy facial expressions during the vid art very amusing.
All their movements look more like paper cut outs in every scenery. They aren't in the physical rooms themselves. It doesn't look real life. Their script doesn't follow the original storyline. It is supposed to be one boy running through the house & hiding not four. Her puppets on a string has nothing to do with the original.
It is always delightful to watch your reactions!
Always a delight watching your work! 😁 thank you!
The editing on this one was amazing!
Incredible analysis and reaction as always, thanks for doing this, Jen! We really appreciate it. 🙏🏼❤
Ah thank you!!! Absolutely loved this and what you’ve done with the arrangement 🙌🏼😁
You’re a true prodigy, Marwan!
This song has potential for endless variations. I hope to see Lauren featured in more videos.

After Marwan’s C#1, Peter also hit two successive C#1s in subs. Those aren’t notes he always has so kudos to Peter for some quality subharmonics!
And Tomi did a few as well, one with inhale technique. But Peter was certainly surprising!
i think peters was chest fry rather than subs :))
Yeah, Peter said he was having fun with friends, drinking alcohol and stuff, so his voice was really thick at 5 in the morning.
@@matthewiam4581 he stated in his reaction to the song that they were subs
@@alyssadaniels7841 oh no way! My mistake! I just assumed they would be fry because it’s Peter! Thanks for telling me!
11:11 E3 chest
11:59 C#1 subharmonic
14:34 C#1 inhale and goes down to somewhere in the 0th octave
14:40 C#1 chest fry
14:46 C1 subharmonic
Lauren is known as the Stairway Siren. She has such a great voice. The Bass Gang never disappoints. Thanks for reacting to this one Jen.

This one is so cool. The whole thing is awesome I love both VP and bass gangs version. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT DROP FROM MARWAN

I have found myself explaining Lauren's slide with three voices there as feeling almost syrupy, or like smoke gliding across the surface of dark oil.
Laurens voice is so haunting 😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰

Lauren's been a busy girl. Did this song with VoicePlay and now The Bass Gang.
I’m always here for one of your nerd-fests! Love it!!

We are makin a "bass"ment dweller out of Jen all the time!😎
😁
VoicePlay actually recognized the Bass Gang because of this video! Also VP was wondering who approached her first? Was it VP or the Bass Gang?
Did they really? That is so cool! LOL
I'm guessing The Gang as they had been planning this one out for the last 5 months and Bobby has other things on the go with her.
The boys had actually planned it for a year, but didn’t realize VP was also doing this until VP’s version came out.
I love your analysis, very impressive, you are such a delight
_Knock, knock!_
Great reaction, fantastic! 😀
@10:28 ❤ I'm waiting, you're welcome, Jen! No need for you to ask permision, I can't hide from you :)

For sure bias, but this is the best video that the band has made
It’s so great 😁 thank you!!
I remember you remarking about a note hit by an artist & you hit it as you were talking about it. You are very deep.
Jen, your messed up hair at the end pretty much sums up this piece. It takes you on a journey. And at the end of it, you feel - and look - like it was a difficult one. Great piece, and equally great reaction and analysis!

@@notawindbag I compared it as Voiceplay is Haunted Mansion, but this feels more Saw.
Nice headphones! Great music for you to begin your use.
Ah yay! Thanks 😁
Marwans C#1 on "end" might just be his best note hes ever sung

I agree creepy surprise after eerie surprise 🎃
Я люблю Бенди ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Vocaloid ❤
Marven was the one on the B5 I think
❤️!
I'm honestly scared that Marwan will be able to hit around Eric Hollaway's range within just a few years 😂. He is kinda there already tbh 🤣
How does this compare with the vershion she did with Voiceplay?
Gotta say I prefer her and Voice Play.
if you didn't know Peter is an opera singer
lmao
Your voiceplay fans are missing a reaction. Maybe reach in the vault and don Tennessee Whiskey or Bridge Over Trouble Waters…..just a suggestion
Couldn't get interested in this one. I'll look for next one. I like watching you anyway but Couldn't handle that.!
Nice girl
How he shows he's going low by pushing his hand down😬
This version sounds less playful than others that I've listened to.
I'm scared of ventriloquist dummies so this whole video was a big yikes. Peter is so scary in this, it was so good.
