This is definitely my favorite song out of all the songs in the album. It is just so much fun and I can't help to just sing along with it, it makes me smile every time. Peter is the PERFECT Gaston, he just emulates the character so well. And the other guys were all amazing Lefou's, they all embodied the character amazingly and they all made me laugh so much during the music video😂 Thank you for the amazing R&A as always Jen, you always help me to understand what's going on in the music more❤

Great reaction. I know you've sung with Peter before, too, so you have a different perspective on his singing than the rest of us. I'm still new to The Bass Gang, so it was nice to hear each of them have their own part during the song. It helps me figure out what each of them sounds like.

Whoever you saw write that comment under the video about them being called "The Bass Gang" and singing all high would absolutely hate Tim Foust and Geoff Castelluci because, as you well know, they love to sing Tenor all the time despite being Bass Singers. 😁
Also, did you notice the sword that Peter pulled out at the end of the song? It's the perfect exclamation point to Gaston's narcissism because THAT was Anduril, The Flame of The West. Gaston, you, sir, are no King of Men. 😝
There's a book series that takes place in an alternate universe that has corny storytelling tropes that are built into the physics of the world. There's a character (a good guy oddly enough) who is basically Gaston. He's a version of Gaston that is a decade or so older and has his heart in the right place but...well he's somehow dumber than the original. Lol, the series is called 'The Mayor Of Noobtown.' Oh, and he has a bunch of adopted daughters each based on a Disney princess with magical singing powers.

Both of my sons, back in high school drama, performed in Beauty and the Beast - my youngest was Le Few and my oldest was the Beast/Prince. While I enjoyed ALL of the music in the show, this was my favorite. (Don't let my sons hear me say that!)
