Re: Marathon Mom - I didn't even notice the "ignoring the kids" part at first. When your commentary started, I had to go back and rewatch the video. And small kids will eventually have to learn their lesson about how you can't interrupt every situation or event.

That marathon mom video frustrated me sooooo much. even if they decided to meet somewhere near the finish line, freaking common sense will tell you to wait AFTER the finish line so that you dont distract the mom for the entirety of the race. And he saw that she was in first place, so i still dont understand why he still let the kids run to her. The kids also could have gotten in the way of other runners like what if they collided with the kids and that led to injuries/losing their position in the race??? Its either he's that freaking dumb and incosiderate, or he had more malicious intent to sabotage her chance of accomplishing something important without directly getting his hands dirty.

Even if she agreed to it, that makes them both incredibly stupid. The very first rule of running is non runners STAY OFF THE TRACK. Those kids could literally have died and no I'm not over exaggerating or being dramatic. All it takes is a foot to the throat and they'd have been gone. The internet shaming these two is the best worst outcome that could have happened. Because worst case, their children could have died. I hope this brought up more conversations about safety and people took it to heart. Because how stupid of a way for your kid to die.

She probably didn’t. She’s just trying to save face and save their family reputation. She knows he did wrong. She did right in the moment that she didn’t hug the kids and instead prioritised her race. sounds a lot like now she has to stay with him for the kids because living costs are high every where. But he def sabotaged her. She knows him but can’t say it in public. Cos else then she will have to go through a divorce (costly)

I always do little "tests" when I meet a guy. I test to see if he has empathy if I'm in pain. if he's not homophobic or hates feminine things. I test if he has a positive reaction to my successes or if he feels the need to "lower" them somehow. I test If asked or when necessary does he do the dishes and whether or not weaponized incompetence happens and yet even with all these "tests" many men fake it until they make it to get you then stop doing the bare minimum. I choose the bear. He's not trying to fool me.

Yes. Some men inherently know when they have you hooked or vulnerable and will keep the mask on until that point. After that, their true self comes out. Sometimes it can be very hard to tell who is authentic and who is masking their true behavior.

My husband is an amazing man who would give his shirt off his back for anyone but he looks intimidating so there would be a natural hesitation from women because again you never know.

There are mentally unstable women as well out there. They assault dudes differently because of physical differences. Most men never come forward with their stories of being sexual assaulted because they are afraid of being laughed at and ridiculed.

I couldn't find anything from him and don't understand why wasn't he on social media owning his mistake and defending her. Why wasn't he out there saying 'yeah, I screwed up, made a poor decision, my bad, but leave my wife alone?' If he had stood up for her, I think a lot of people would have backed down...and isn't that what a good guy is supposed to do, stand up for his partner? To me, the fact that he left her out there, to deal with it all on her own, says more than anything...
