    The PNC Cash Rewards 4X on gas is the only card that I would consider. They did copy & paste Bank of America's Tier system, too bad they can't match or beat them on redemption.

    They are a good financial institution, relatively solid. During 2008-9 they avoided the bogus housing bubble and real-estate crash that Citi, BOA, and others fell into. Good rates on other loan categories - if you qualify.

    Have the Green Card. Its okay for everyday purchases. I like it and I bank with PNC! It offers allot more than my other cards(points wise anyway) also. Thinking about the Premier card (from PNC) or the US Bank connect or GO Cards.

    • @RJFinancial
      @RJFinancial  3 года назад

      I like the Premier from Citi. Altitude Go is also a great one. Connect I'm not as high on in year #2. Annual fee seems high compared to the Premier. Especially adding a Custom Cash and Double Cash to the Premier, I think that's a solid setup.

      @@RJFinancial I have checked into the Citi Premier. They have sent me every card application except for that one! Altitude go my be my choice as I prefer to get cards from banks that I have a relationship with and the go is no fee with the No FX fee I am looking for. Not looking to get lots of cards also. Have four now and two more is all I want for my purposes. Will get the Amex Plat card and find the best visa Signature card out there.

    PNC is my main bank that I use while churning others. Although, I do funnel all my money through Porte and Capital One before I ACH transfer into PNC. I also have a Core card with them but now that I’ve paid my balance transfer off I really don’t know what to do with it. I don’t want to close it and give up the $15k line of credit, so I guess I’m stuck doing the random pack of gum on it for the rest of my natural life.

    • @RJFinancial

      @@RJFinancial I thought about that when I paid it off. A quick Google search told me that they don’t but, I really should call and find out from them directly. I’m waiting until the end of July so I can convert my account from the Performance Select ($400 bonus) to the regular Virtual Wallet account and not have to worry about the $5k direct deposit every month to avoid fees. I’m really liking Porte and would love to make that my main bank but my wife likes the convenience of PNC being a half mile from the house and being able to deposit cash in the ATM.

    My credit went bad due to a divorce and foreclosure. I paid off my Capital One credit card and closed the account. For nearly 10 yrs I have not used a credit card. Now I need a credit just to sign up to sell books on Amazon. What are my chances of getting a PNC credit card with the lowest limit? I've been a PNC customer for about 7 months.

    • @RJFinancial
      @RJFinancial  3 месяца назад

      Should be doable. I imagine your credit has improved in the 10 years. If not PNC then Capital One is probably your best bet. They're focused more on people building or rebuilding credit. Plus Cap One cards are probably more interesting (outside of the cash rewards from PNC)

    RJ,
    Awesome coverage of PNC bank. You don't see a lot of people cover them. I do know the PNC cash back card is the one most people talk about for good credit cards. I have heard nothing on there business cards. Uggh you are lucky to get that 300 dollar bonus. PNC bank isn't in CA yet. But with the recent merger and buying of BBVA they will be soon. I got my bonus from BBVA for opening a bank account sweet 200 bucks for one direct deposit. They paid fast in 3 days after deposit they pay out. Love quick pay outs. I wonder if the credit card lineup on both BBVA and PNC will change and get better now? I sure hope they offer a big bonus to become a member once the merger is final. I will be right there to get there money..lol.

    • @RJFinancial
      @RJFinancial  3 года назад

      I couldn't get BBVA bonus up here, just the way the game goes I guess. With the merger I'd guess it would depend on how big the card business is for BBVA. Could be some things PNC takes or if its not great, just convert them to PNC cards. PNC had a $400 bonus at one point, so they know how to be enticing lol
