Running into an issue where when I export my video , and select either NONE or Export to SRT on the captions tab, it is still burning in the captions to the video. I am finding I have to turn the subtitle layer off , then export if I want a video without them burned in ( And yes , " Use Previews " is unchecked when exporting. Ideas ??
Thanks for letting people know that the new Premiere update finally includes the talk to text caption feature. IT. IS. AMAZING! I really needed captions for a project I needed to finish today and this saved so much time and effort! And it got about 95% of the text correct - which is impressive since one of the people in my video has a Cambodian accent.
I cant even begin to tell you how happy this video just made me! Hours of work is gona be saved! Thanks so much for the tutorial and figuring all this stuff out for us!

What a fantastic video. Caption have always been a challenge. This update and explanation was perfect. I started on a 3 min video at 7.45am and now it's 8.28am and it's exporting with captions. Definite a channel you have to subscribe to!

Great video. I have been using the beta version for a while. I use it for an interview and documentary editing. The beauty is that when the speaking stops you get an exact cut. Easier to read the script (which can be funny) and do the cuts. So flexible!
Great video - I am maybe missing how but I cannot see how to set the speakers within Premiere, and as far as adobe forums tell me, it's yet to be implemented? That surely can't be right though, because they have speaker differentiation ability in Premiere for this already, so surely I should be able to make the speakers name appear beside their spoken text? Another thing I noticed is that any styles I save, are usable use, in that project, not in other projects. We're in 2022 here, October to be precise, I really hope I am just missing things and it's not Adobe dragging their heels, it's over a year since this dropped!
Hey. I'm having trouble exporting the .srt file. Everytime I'm exporting and add that srt file to VLC player just to see how this looks I found out that the font automatically changes and even when I'm trying to import that file the font size everything changes. What to do? Please help.

Hey Kelsey...quick question. So now I know how to create captions for my video, how do I create a video for RUclips that the captions only come on if the person viewing the video presses the CC button on RUclips. I mean I don't want to record my final video with the captions on the video because they wouldn't be able to turn them off. Is this where uploading the SRT file when you upload to RUclips will take care of the captions if and only if the viewer pushes the CC button on RUclips???
Is it possible to add animations / motion to the caption style? It would be amazing if say, with a 10 minute video, you could 'Transcribe' > 'Convert to captions' > 'Apply animation', so that you could automatically create something close to a dynamic typography video.
I have a list of medications in .txt format and is there some way that I can add this list to the vocabulary in one go so that the transcript accuracy improves rather than correct each misspelt medication name manually?
Could you please tell me is there another method of writing subtitles manually with great ease since the language i sopke is not available on premier pro and it is not widely spoken. writing manually subtitles is a pain in butt. is there a way where timestamps are auto generated all i have to do is just write captions??
Hi Kelsey, I have quick question I have already posted in Adobe. Is there a fast process for dual language closed captions in Premiere Pro 2021. What I am currently doing is: 1. Generate the CC in the language of the video, say English 2. Originate the STR file 3. Get the STR file Copy and paste in word document and do the Spanish translation there. 4. Create a copy of the timeline and in that copy edit the Captions by copying and pasting the translation. My question is, is there a more efficient way of doing this? Please and Thank you!! Cheers!
Thank you for the informative intro to this great feature. (Another wave of some 3rd party companies' suffering). One use that you almost touched on was for translation to provide other language subs. The two types of export are not quite so helpful as the text file is just one long string of text. Not to be greedy, but it will be great if the export can retain the same groupings with timecodes as the display in the left. Then, we can send that off to translation and have block by block replacements. If anyone knows how to convert the .prtranscript file to Word or something useful, would be great to know. Thanks again.

Does any one know if premier has the ability of editing smoothly with variable rate footages? Or is there any workaround of editing variable framerate footages in premier without audio Being out of sync for variable rate footages? I tried the "preserve audio sync feature" but it does not work unfortunately. I Could really really use some help. I record gameplays mostly and last night i found out that gameplays are being recorded in variable frame rate where as premier pro does not work correctly with variable frame rate footages and audio gets out of sync at almost all places. I could really really use help as I'm really clueless on what to do now, tried different methods but nothing works
Hi there, it downloaded fine, and I am running PPP 15.4. When I went to the template style PP didn't select it in the dropdown and just fixed at "None" but the style did apply. It may be my version of PP.
Okay, I'm loving the new captioning feature ... until I export the video. A 5 minute video used to take about 3 minutes to export - now it takes over half an hour. Is there a solution for this?

Is there no feature to export captions to interpret the "in point" as TC 00: 00: 00 (ignoring leader and slate), since MP4s don't carry a timecode track? Professionally, we have leader / slates / 2-beep before the program. This means that timecode before the program needs to be in the 59th minute, so the program can start at TC 1: 00: 00: 00. The major problem is when we export unslated for web, MP4 files are assumed to start at 00, and the exported SRT wants to wait for the 1-hour mark. The only (clumsy) workarounds seem to be creating a duplicate of every master sequence with modified 00 timecode, or manually editing all the TC values in exported SRT files. I hoped the new captioning workflow had a solution.

I just saw a post on this. You cannot directly to the caption track but if you nest the caption track it converts it to a video track and you can use effects
Is it possible to add another track of transcript? I'm using the SRT files for Character Animator and need separate SRT timecode files for each Character. I can't find a way to generate another track

@@hajerdesign1955 paid version is the solution because for transcription feature we have to be connected with our adobe account because transcription is done through online text to speech provided by adobe, it cant be done offline, atleast that's what i have learned
thank you. I watched your preview and loved this feature. we do dual language subtitles so knowing that we can have two subtitles tracks was awesome. I did run into issues trying to edit the video after initial speech to text conversion as part of my review workflow. Premiere doesn't seem to be able to keep the transcript in sync with the timeline, or perhaps I am missing something. love to get your advice. otherwise I am gonna create captions first before I start proofing the subtitle or I should also go through the video itself and clean it up before transcribing audio track.
