Ochóin a Righ, Gur Tinn an Galair an Grádh
    Ochóin a Righ
Gur tinn an galair an grádh
    Chaneil neach air am bi
Nach saoil gur bliadhna gach là
    Gun bhris e mo chridh'
'S gun sgaoil e chuislean mo shlàint'
    Bhith cumha na dhéidh
Bhon thréig mi fear an fhuilt bhàin
    Sèist (tar éis chuile bhéarsa):
    Air fairil a ló
    Horó, air fairil a lé
    Air fairil a ló
    Horó, air fairil a lé
    Faill-ì faill ó
    Horó, air fairil a lé
    'S ochóin a ghaoil
    Gum b'aotrom, aighearach sinn
    Nuair théid thu thar sàil
A ghràidh biodh glainne nad dhorn
'S bi 'g òl dheoch slàint'
'S gach àit 's a suidh thu aig bòrd
    Do chridhe geal éibhinn
    Aotrom, aighearach òg
    'S bu bhinne do bhuel
Na 'n teud bho 'n tigeadh an ceòl
    Do chùl buidhe dualach
    Cuachach camagach tlàth
    Dh'fhàg mise fo ghruaim
Gu buan gu latha mo bháis
    'S nan tigeadh tu nuas
    Air chuairt dhan bhaile-sa thámh
    Ged chaochail mo shnuadh
Bu dual dhomh rithist bhith slán
    Translation:
    Oh woe is me
How sore is the sickness of love
There is no one who suffers
That does not feel that each day lasts a year
    My heart is broken
And sapped the springs of my health
    Lamenting him, after leaving him
    The fair young man
    Chorus (after each verse):
    Air fairil a ló
    Horó, air fairil a lé
    Air fairil a ló
    Horó, air fairil a lé
    Faill-ì faill ó
    Horó, air fairil a lé
Oh woe is me, my love
We were once happy and carefree
    When you are sailing abroad
Love, have a glass to hand
    And drink my good health
In each place where you are seated at table
    Your heart is fair, happy
    Light, cheerful and young
    And your mouth is sweeter
    Than any musical strings
    It was your fair
    Curly, beautiful hair
    That left me miserable
Forever to the day of my death
And if you were to visit
    And stay in this town
Although the bloom has faded from my complexion
I would be whole once more

chuala mise "galar" seachas "galair" agus is dóigh liom gurb é sin an focal ceart

Go raibh maith agat Quinton. Is mar seo a bhí teideal an amhráin i nGàidhlig na hAlban ag Maighread ar albam a rinne sí le Allan MacDonald, 'Fhuair Mi Pog'. Tiocfaidh muid leis sin!
