I'm confused re the 1.7:1 putting stroke ratio. Using the metronome, it sounded like one tick to the end of the backswing and one tick to impact; isn't that a 1:1 ratio? (PS, your lessons have helped me improve immensely in all areas - especially using the grid, thx!)
a putter will accelerate from end of swing to impact, but constant acceleration is better than increasing acceleration so speed is more linear increasing than exponential. Is that what you mean with " do not accelerate through impact"?
Ah yes, the old pearls of wisdom from your golfing mates..."Not up, not in mate", or "never seen the hole come to the ball" or how about "never seen a short putt drop". Amazing observations!. Anyway, I have always suspected, although I have no statistics (do you Rob?) that a putt left short, on average, is usually closer to the hole than one that went too long. So based on that, my suspicion is that more 3 putts occur after 'too long' first putts than 'too short' first putts. My ideal putt is to see the ball just "die" in the hole.
Hey Rob, another great video, thanks! How about a video on the Exputt, with a comparison of the data from the Blast with what the Exputt is giving you? Thanks again for all your great stuff!
Rob another brilliant video. The hardest thing about putting is finding the right putter. I've never found a place where I can try putters out on real grass instead of nice green carpet like things that they have in all golf stores
@@golftecasia For how much I play I'm not sure it's worth it because the fitting center is quite a way from where I'll be in the UK. But thanks anyway. It would help if pro shops at golf clubs had demo putters to try out but I've never seen any
Thanks Rob. Yes I have taken the Aim Point basic class (green reading) basics a couple times but didn't know that there was a speed element so I will find out from my teacher more about that.
Thanks Rob. I think I get it. That said, it would be interesting to see your numbers from varying distances. It seems the ability to control your tempo across all distances would be more challenging than hitting the same putt 6 times. But if you can master that skill, you will be a better putter. Thoughts?
“Feedback has to be measured, not guessed.” The second best quote is from this video. First is, “Hold your finish.” I would like to see more videos with the blast putter numbers. I understand this is super focused camp but I don’t think we’ve heard anybody to see a real analysis of the blast technology
Hello Rob-I'm a long putter advocate and a great watcher of Bernard Langer. Looks like you place the ball dead center but there was no mention of pendulum or arcing motion. Are you rocking your shoulders during the process and what is the consideration of backswing length re: length of putt? Be good-Stay safe.-Russ
To follow your 10% paradigm, I argue that 10% past is better than 10% short as you will have a much better read on your second putt. Anyway, let’s discuss further on Monday when we meet up.
Best putting video i've seen for a while, good work
Super helpful! Thanks
Greetings from Golftec East Hanover. Really enjoyed your work! Keep the videos coming!
That looks an edel putter!
@@golftecasia I had gone for a fitting at club champion in Boston but the fitter said that other putters are better and didn’t even let me try
Thank you Rob! Great video.
Nicely done, thanks for sharing :)

Brilliant tip! Works for the other clubs too! No more wild swings!
You guys are busy. I see the hitting bays in use. Glad to see you guys getting the business.
Great video as always. Thank you Rob.

Good to see an excellent putting video. We are still in lockdown so I'll practise this too.

Hey! You stole my putter!
Interesting video, data tells the story. Was that Nick in the background?
Symmetrical stroke. Very valuable input. Great video, Rob. Ideally it should be filmed outside, though.

Leave putts short... Let's discuss. I see more benefits of going six inches past the hole rather than six inches short. ;-)
