It's so cool how these two dogs in two different rescue locations look like they are related even though one weighs 50 pounds more than the other. Luckily for both of them, people knew to call #HopeForPaws for help.
JoAnn Wiltz and Alex Babcock headed out to save Chester, and as they were getting ready to head back to the hospital, another call came in.

it's hard to wrap your head around how someone could let go of such amazing animals. they're all so sweet and loving. I do understand that some people pass away or have another big life change, but they could at least make arrangements for them. I'm just happy that Hope For Paws found them. now they have a chance of finding a really good home.

I rescued my little girl from a shelter, she was so scared and didn't trust people, now she loves my company, sleep in my room and traveling by car. Seeing the happiness we can give these animals motivates me to live.
Just a little effort and people have the power to change lives. Send love out it will come back multiple.
My little stray dog is so cute and allways she seems to be proud living with her pack/us...Life is so much better with a loving dog. 😊🐕😊
if you took it from a Shelter doesn't it mean that you fostered or adopted it from them. already, shelter is a place to keep rescued animals. I am just trying to clear my head of your word usage. keep up the good heart ❤️
@@Hlutea-Hmar I live in a city where some people rescue animals and just protect them from the rain and give them food. When I adopted my dog the place was dirty and there was not enough food, there were almost 100 dogs. Also, I believe someone hurt her, maybe in the old house, or even in the "shelter".

Chester seems well trained, breaks my heart to think his owners may have dumped him by that rolling chair and told him to “stay” and he literally listened in hope they’d come back 😢 I hope he and little Tony find homes they truly deserve.

Just because a dog is on its own doesn't mean it was abandoned. He could have gone for a hike and got lost. Dogs to tend to escape their homes and take off.

"Dogs do not run away" from responsible owners . Children "don't get lost" either , people lose them .

Little Tony looks just like the dog, I had, when I was 10. It brings sad memories, but also a happy ending. Her name was Buller and one dark icy evening, when she was in heat, she bolted out of the garden, looking for a love affair. But she was hit deadly by a car on the street. The man, who run her down, was very, very unhappy. So he promised to find me another dog. Next day he called us, saying his neighbor had a high prized beagle, who had gotten "illegal" pregnant with a black dachshund - and the owner was furious, saying the pups would all be drowned. We promised to take them all and find them homes. We got 5 puppies, kept Tulle who instantly became best friends with our cat and lived 12 happy years - and found good homes for the others.
I've often wondered if Buller looked down from heaven and saw, how her death actually saved the lives of 5 puppies. I hope so.

I just saw on the news here in Denmark, that a danish company, who makes fireworks, has developed a pet friendly version, that is almost noiseless. Let's hope, it becomes a success.
Chester is such a sweet and smart boy....all that he's been through and he helps Little Tony trust again. I'll bet he'd be a good helper to make other dogs feel at ease.

I envy the family who gets to adopt Chester. What a beautiful, sweet and loving dog he is. The way he was with Little Tony and the other dogs made me emotional. If I could, I would adopt him and Little Tony together. Thank you for saving them from a life on the streets.

I love to watch these rescues. Hope For Paws is a very special and patient rescue organization. Sometimes I get emotional because they remind me of people who have been abanded and abused. Very touching. I am proud to be a monthly member. You are angels on Earth taking care of God's creatures.

Props to the folks who contact H4P when they see or have an animal in need! Not everyone can keep the furbaby they have saved so knowing who and where to call is just as important as saving them!

Awe poor babies. I wonder if Chester was from a house very near, he stayed in 1 place for a month waiting for ...his owners? He seems so nice and friendly. Thy do not ask to be born, so sad when their lives are so tough. Thanks so much!!
I will never understand how someone could simply abandon a dog, but I am thankful people like Eldad and Hope for Paws exist to rescue them. Chester and Little Tony have nothing but happiness to look forward to when they find their forever home.💕

Many thanks to the two caring families that called Hope for Paws and keep the dogs safe until rescue could happen. Folks, I'm on a limited budget. I had to cancel some subscriptions for things that I truly loved. But I'd rather go without eating for a day than cancel my monthly "gift" to Hope for Paws. I only give $20.00. I wish it were more. But for those of you thinking about a monthly "gift", do it. You won't regret it. I call it a "gift" because I'm the one blessed by the giving. And a live animal rescue is worth its weight in gold versus a dead animal lying in the streets. Give if you can. God bless you all. Blessed are we by being allowed to help Hope for Paws.
Dogs and cats absolutely know when they have been rescued, and are forever grateful.

That was so sweet when Chester was loving on Little Tony. I'm glad he came around w/in a few days. They are both so sweet.
I am proud to be a small monthly contributor to Hope for Paws. Just think if each of viewer sent a small donation the amazing good it would do! The lives saved and the suffering stopped. I am retired and on a fixed income, and the small donation category is makes it easy.

I love how Chester helped littlle Tony. Just rescued himself and already helping others. He should be adopted by a family and they will get an amazing dog. For that I'm 100% sure.

Little Tony was scolded while almost slipping away during the rescue so that made him a bit more afraid of them, so I"m glad he was able to trust them more after a few days.
He was trying to bite.
How great is it that so many animal loving Angelenos know who to call now. (LAAS doesn't pick up strays, but HFP does!) Now Chester and Tony are off the streets soon to be placed in forever homes.💕

So heartbreaking and hard to believe a dog like Chester was a stray. We can learn so much from animals. Chester was in a bad situation himself but put that aside to comfort Little Tony who he understood was terrified. Both dogs deserve a loving home and it would be such a great thing if it was a double adoption! Thanks to Hope for Paws for all you do!
Absolutely loved Chester! What a tender hearted boy, so concerned for Little Tony, it was so sweet and gentle, he won't have trouble getting a home hopefully, and now Little Tony now trusts humans he will be OK too, god bless

Chester is so cute being bathed. Little Tony was so terrified, even more so with a gentle touch at 6:51. I think it was heartbreaking for Chester too, who was "crying" at 7:41+. How exciting to see Little Tony look up at his "bather" at 7:30!! I felt as though he was thinking, "Can I REALLY trust this one?" How sweet that Chester was helping Little Tony. I just love dogs. Wonderful to see them safe and happy, and with a little female Poodle too.
Many of these abandoned dogs are evidently used to being on a leash. They therefore do not see it as a threat, but as something familiar when the animal rescuers put the leash on them.
Good job catching Little Tony. Chester and Little Tony are so cute. Thank you for rescuing them, I hope you find loving families for them.
They definitely need to be💙adopted together, like big brother and little brother. I love❤️how Tony is a smaller dark-colored version of Chester.
Hope for Paws, just a suggestion; if you cannot get a burger or something else beforehand, consider carrying cans of Vienna sausages. They are easy to store and don't require refrigeration. I buy them and give them to my dogs as a treat or cut them up as a surprise in their breakfast or dinner.

Someone once loved Chester to teach him to shake I can't believe he isn't chipped and so well mannered. And poor little Tony almost feral. I hate the holidays because so many get dumped for that new cute puppy and kitten. Here I expect to see a few new older cats dumped on my road, it happens every year.

Chester was obviously a family member, and must have been dumped for some inexplicable reason. OMG - what a gorgeous, sweet, gentle boy. I’m sure he had an adopter within days of this video. The way he tried to help and assure Little Tony was just ….well…pass the Kleenex. Darling Doggo. Some LUCKY family is going to get to share their life with this handsome cuddle bug.

Y'all really need to get the burgers! It's a schtick that not only draws the dogs or just about any other critter, but makes us humans smile and want to buy burgers for you :-) That's what got me hooked 3 years ago and I've been donating ever since.
