- Lambert was betrayed so badly when he was left behind by his owner, and he just couldn't bring himself to trust another human. When we received the email about him, JoAnn Wiltz and Alex Babcock headed out to change his mind and his life.
Many animals are abandoned for all kinds of weird reasons, but one main reason is when people pass away, and family members just throw their animals away or drop them at the shelter. Not only did you rescue a very, very scared small dog but he was adopted to a family where he has a giant fuzzy partner to cuddle with. Nothing better for a little old guy!! Heaven in earthly form.
Humans can learn about loyalty from their pets.

Lambert is a nice dog with a sad past and a new bright future.
So sad he never allowed people to touch him, but when he was picked up, he didn't try to bite and was gentle. Thanks for rescuing him.

To anyone thinking about adopting: please, please consider a senior dog! I got my now 11-year-old girl in January of last year, and she is the BEST doggo ever! As soon as she felt safe and started opening up, she blossomed into this playful, silly, clever, curious cuddlebug with tons of love to share.
My heart aches for all the older dogs who gets looked over. One of them could be YOUR furry best friend!
Three years is an eternity for a little dog to wait for all the love he deserves. Norbert waits no longer. 🥰.

One thing can be guaranteed, a dog would never abandon it's owner. It's a shame some people can't give their dogs that same guarantee.

Actually if enough is done to them, they will abandon their owners. It just takes a lot for them to do this. They are far more patient than many humans who are capable of showing such patience towards other people and animals.
And some people would die to protect their dog.

I'm always amazed at the transformations of these rescues, they are always so scared and when they know there are people that love them they turn in the loving sweethearts. I have a senior miniature poodle and he doesn’t act like a senior dog either. He runs outside barking at cats in the backyard when I let him out to use the bathroom.
I would totally say the same. He was just too overcome to be rescued, it is like he is living his life new again! Lambert is such a great dog, so glad he got a home fairly quickly too! :]
I have a 13 year old husky who still likes to hop her front paws up and down like a bunny when she’s excited, and run on the lawn with her little chiweenie sister.

Bless him, how quick was the turn around with those beautiful girls patience and absolute determination to save him. His wagging tail at the end the way he runs everywhere.
