Matted, dirty and never knew a loving touch - let's find him a home together!

- Please share Ziggy's video so he can have a loving forever home. I didn't mention it in the video because it may be upsetting to some viewers (and then I can't remove it), but an hour before Loreta Frankonyte and I arrived at this location, a person was murdered in that neighborhood and the area was closed from all directions. It took us a while, but we figured out a way to get to the area and complete this rescue successfully with help from Mary Chatman who you all should know from Fiona's video: • Blind dog rescue: Fion...
The rescue part was quite easy, but it's important to understand that the emotional work that comes after that is a process that takes time and effort. For this project, Hope For Paws teamed up with L.A. Animal Rescue and they did incredible work in turning him into a happy dog!
To apply to adopt him or to see his final and best haircut, please visit:

Our friends at L.A. Animal Rescue have many other animals for adoption, so please check those out here: www.laanimalre...
Thank you so much for helping us save all these animals!

You can see the initial hopelessness in Ziggy's eyes, I am sure he has been the target of mistreatment on the streets. I post over and over that my small automatic contribution, if many of us join adds up to Hope for Paws being out there 24/7. I am retired, on a fixed income, and for the price of a couple of items in my grocery believe these small donations are the gift of life and for someone the gift of companionship and love no matter what is going on in their life or the world. I hope folks will join me as a "bread and butter" support contributor, so we can share many more of these videos.
Ditto! It's only $5 a month, but it's *every* month; knowing that that money is going to be there makes it easier to make plans. If we *all* donate even $1 or $2 per month, it'll add up to a lot of money very quickly, and Eldad would be able to grow the organization and rescue even more animals. And maybe, once in a while, get a full night's sleep. :-)
I agree. I also am retired and give a recurring $5 a month. I feel really good about it.
Also everytime I buy something using PayPal I donate $1 through their website. I know it's not much but it adds up if we all do it.
I love Hope for Paws and all the as angels involved with it. And thank you Mary.
Hi Anne, I to am on a fixed income and a low one as well. I agree that " bread and butter" supporters can make a HUGE difference if enough of us do it.
Makes me feel good to give to Eldad and all the people who work with him. Loretta rocks!!

Same here Anne. A lot of us together can do good things.
That dog looked so very sad, even after he was cleaned up. Then, some time later he was so happy he was bouncy like a Disney character. Thank you so much to all involved with this rescue.
😃 What a happy scene where Ziggy was dancing in the snow with his doggy friends. It’s as if a new dog appeared out of that horrible fur coat. Kind regards from your friend in England 🏴.
I just love the turn around the dogs and others make after a rescue. Ziggy was a real mess,, been then see him dancing in the snow. So cute Thanks again H4P's. 💥🐕
Can you imagine! He was so weighted down by the fur he couldn't have physically even played! I just don't understand such beauty being thrown out.
Yeah all wonderful that he got rescued and is no longer struggling on busy streets, but I cannot understand why the foster 'parents' haven't cut the hair from around his face so he can properly see. It would take 2 seconds to cut a fringe so he has clear vision. Must be annoying, even though he put up with it before he was rescued!
@@dee-smart of course without dna, who knows the breed. But when i was a child we got a llhasa apso and the vet told us to always keep that level of fur around the eyes. Exactly like that so it's not rubbing the eyes but acting like the bill of a cap. Llhasa's were breed to be inside dogs and sun is not good for their eyes. Granted this was in the early 1960's and llhasa's were only out of Tibet maybe 20 years. In our tiny town he was a novel dog. But we followed that advice and he had no eye infections and retained full sight his whole life. So it might be a thing the groomer does in caution. I only know this is exactly what we were told. Some dogs actually have sight protected by bangs! Lol
Gorgeous muppy. Lol. So cute and frollicking in the snow so darling. I'll adopt him in a heart beat..💖💕💞🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏿🕊💖😇😊.
Oh wow he is such a cute pup. He cleaned up so nicely and you can tell he’s so happy and grateful. Thank you for all you guys do
When you first got him he was very worried about what was going on, but he was resigned to go along with it. Once he settled in a little, and found he was going to be OK, he became the cheerful little dog that was always his destiny. When you are accepted and have friends, life is good.
So true
And toys and a soft blanket!
The end just made me cry happy tears because he finally found out what it was to be loved. Thank you all!
He looked so resigned to his fate, unloved and living on the streets. You were an absolute blessing to little Ziggy, and it changed his life. Thank you for what you do.
Aww, compare the look of resignation on his face, then his running towards the camera, wagging his tail, and playing with his new friend, all prove Ziggy is now happy! Bless! May he find a loving, happy home where he is pampered!
Look at the happy tail
Awww....poor pup. Living on the street would be a tough gig. He's so scared. Look at all of those matts. He almost looks relieved that someone came for him. I bet that bath is going to feel really great! :) OMGosh! He looks like a totally different dog now. Amazing how love & caring can change their demeanor totally. Awesome! :) I hope he gets his loving forever home.
These dogs must feel such a relief when they get cleaned up 😊 Ziggy is such a cute little guy and I'm so happy he's now safe 💗
@Bobb Grimley I have found in my long experience with dogs that however long their time of troubles were, they had to get past that same amount of time in a good space to feel that the bad times we're not going to return. In other words if they were neglected for 5 years, and then they were adopted it. It would take at minimum of 5 years before they would feel safe that the past would not return, and totally form a close bond with their new owner.
This world is a better place thanks to people like you. I am so proud to support you. Don't ever change!!! Regards from Madrid Spain.
I couldn't agree more!! Their work is absolutely HEAVENLY!!!
I agree!!! When ever I lose faith in humanity I watch there videos
I agree with this man yes people like you will make the world a better place
Thank you and Mary Chatman for helping this poor cute pooch. Mrs. Loretta, you and Mr. Eldad are two of the greatest animal rescuers, thanks to your help, Ziggy now can be a happy puppy who enjoys life and is loved.🥰☘️💫
Oh my goodness. What an absolute cutie with that hairstyle at the end lol. Ziggy is the perfect name for him.
👍💯
Seriously. But my fingers were itching for a pair of scissors to trim those bangs. :-D
@@Korina42 Me too -- I was thinking, "Get that hair out of his eyes; he needs to see!"
We’ve adopted dogs like Ziggy…it takes as a long time to help them get over all their issues but it’s worth it. Rescues are such wonderful, companions.
I have 4 rescue dogs...the best and 3 rescue cats...love them to bits, sometimes it's hard work but they are so worth it! I wish there would be a follow up indicating that these dogs/cats have found a forever home. Which nowadays is SO difficult
YEP! I rescued an 8 year old chihuahua mix, that someone discarded at the river near where I live. When she was found she barely weighed 4 lbs (she weighs 8.1 lbs healthy), was badly emaciated, missing an eye and a bunch of teeth and had tiny bit marks all over her. I took her sight unseen, because she was found by my best friend's cousin, and her landlord would not let her kept my doggie and I knew with her disability and age, she would have a hard time getting adopted. She was not house trained, no manners and would sit near me, with her back to me, wanting to be petted. I think she was looking for her old family. Oh, and she was possessive, which I broke her of, because my other rescue Roxanne Jane, had been with us for 3 years prior, so when she growled, she got put down off my lap immediately. It only took a few times and she figured it out, so I knew she was smart. However, it took 1 whole year for my Junebug (Junie Ju for short), to finally look me in the eye when I petted her and to get her house trained. She is such a lovebug now, fully house trained, not possessive, and she is no longer looking for the people who dumped her. We play kissy where I kiss her on the forehead and she gives me a quick tiny lick on my hand before I can pull it away--we go back and forth exchanging little kisses, it's so cute. I guess she finally decided we were keepers ; ) thank goodness. I always tell my dogs I love them and I promise to be with them until their last breath on this earth. I love them so much, I'd take a bullet for them, without even thinking.
You people are beautiful.
Here's a bible proverb for you..
"A righteous man careth for the life of his beast.
But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."
We need to see kindness in these days.
It must be traumatizing for a little creature to be homeless in this big bustling world. I wonder if some dogs think they're in trouble when you approach them. It feels good to see them happy. Thanks for doing what you guys do....so well. 👍
ADORABLE little guy. Shouldn't take long for him to find a forever home.
Loreta sounds so loving and caring when she talks to the animals most people might not think you are doing much and just bringing in dirty mutts but to me you are life savers,it breaks my heart to see animals being neglected a few years ago I saw a A man kick a black dog because it was in his way it made me so mad and sad when I'm older I wanna volunteer at R,I,S,P,C,A thank you for saving life's your number one supporter 😁😁😁😁😁💛💛💛💛
*Thanks, Hope For Paws, and may God bless you for all you did, you do and you will do!*
Best wishes and GOOD LUCK from Germany!
PS: are you guys out of cheeseburger???
Bless Eldad, Loretta and Mary for rescuing this precious fur baby. I can’t stand what people do with discarding their animals like garbage.
I LOVE Hope For Paws I am on a fixed income but I still donate what I can.❤️❤️🙏🙏🐾
Guys, your videos help us here in small city in Russia to catch suffering street dogs and help them! Thank you for all you do! You and all your supporters are our heroes and teachers!
Poor baby, look at how mattered his fur is,he was so scared because he hadn't been touched by humans in a long time but you can certainly see a change in Ziggy after he went to his foster home....Ziggy became adorable and happy and it's a relief to know he's off the streets for ever, let's hope dear little Ziggy gets a forever home, good luck Ziggy
My boy is more curley but that's 99% what he looked like when I got him. He was also guessed to be 3-4. I was his foster and he bounded in to me like "where have you been" and he was right! I was waiting for him and he's nodded off beside me 13 years later. I don't have a breed but a look and if you were not on the other side of the country, he would have an immediate home. What a little angel. I really would love to have him. Whoever wins better treat him right from this day forward!
I’m so glad Ziggy is enjoying life again. I wish all the rescued dogs and the ones soon-to-be rescued, and everyone watching this, all the joy you are open to receive (and may we all open our arms and hearts to all that joy). 💕😃
Ziggy's life has been changed forever! With his charm it will take a very short time to find him his forever home. Ziggy, have a long and happy life!
After a very despairing look at the beginning, he turned out to be such a bouncy little cutie. I know Ziggy will find a home very soon! Thank you all for helping him.
That look at the beginning was utterly heart breaking ...
I always cry tears of happiness when I see you helping such wonderful animals like Ziggy. Once again you have worked a miracle for this little guy who can now have the best life. Thank you Eldad and team.
I adore this channel. So uplifting the way you care for animals. When the world is a mess, you give me a bit of hope. Thank you for caring and giving these babies a chance to live their best life.
His eyes are so human like just beautiful a beautiful sweet pure soul. God bless you all
Oh yeah, that little dog is a real cutie! Thank you, Thank you for saving him ❤ 💗 💖 and if he is not adopted by now, I'm sure he will be very soon. It's so sweet to see him go from a frightened little dog to having fun, playing and running in the snow ❄ 😄 😀 😍 😊 😁 ❄ 😄
Ziggy is such a Beautiful Baby!
I wish I could adopt him.
Praying he finds his Furrever home soon!
God Bless You All for the saving work you do!
🙏💞🙏💞🙏💞
Incredible transformation, doesn't even look like the same dog.
This adorable little man looks like a schnauzer mix. There’s no mistaking those adorable faces and spunky personalities. Ziggy will find a good home in no time!
Briard/Komondor mix immediately came to mind. It would be nice to have a definitive response to the actual breed.
Possibly, but neither of those are terribly common breeds.
Looked more like a Puli.
It would be hard to know without seeing the hair grown out or a dna test.
That was close there at the end. He just about wag the tail right off of his butt. I wonder how he's doing today? Does he still have his tail? 😂
Huh
What? Why wouldn’t he have his tail?
Lol! Wagging as hard as he can- he still can’t wag it off! It was a close call though🤣
@@anileisibeltre8684 read the comment again. It was a joke. He was about to “wags the tail right off of his butt!”
He’s a beauty!!! Such a sweet little man. Thank you all for doing what you do!!!
What a beautiful scene seeing him playing and running around in the snow... I bet his forever family is going to find him soon and give him a loving home.. All the best Hope for Paws and all your partners
Hat's of you guys you are doing really great job for animals
Ziggy should have no problem finding a home. What a fantastic dog! Keep doing what u do. Thank u
He went from a sad, unhappy, scared, old looking dog to a young sprightly boy - an amazing transformation and lovely to see. What a team!

You guys certainly sprinkled some Stardust into Ziggy's life, now he's risen I hope he never falls. You are truly Heroes. I'm sure he will be very happy having Golden Years in his forever home. You have turned him into a Diamond Dog with the Changes you made.

Absolutely stunningly Adorable dog see melts my heart hope he gets a loving home
Ziggy looks so cute. His haircut makes him look like a Beatle.....lol.....Such a transformation. Love you HFP...
Awesome guys, ziggy is a special dog, I would love him., I’m glad he’s safe and happy. 💕💕💕💕💕
He's just the happiest little shaggy boy! I hope he finds his forever home very soon!🤗 Another great rescue!
Loretta we love you so very much .shout out to all of you guys .thank you so much..NYC one
Can’t believe how docile Ziggy was when they put the gentle snares around his neck, considering he had been on the streets for who knows how long without human touch and kindness. He is only 3 years old and, judging by his coat, has been on his own for at least a year or more. So glad he was rescued. Seeing him playing in the snow at the end with his tail wagging so much is reward enough. So proud to be a sponsor. A lovely end to another rescue. Take care everyone. 😘💕🐕🐶🇦🇺
I cried from the bottom of my heart this dog looks like my dog that passed away😔😔😔
🥰 Que increíbles personas son ustedes, llenas de compasión, es lo que le hacía falta al mundo. Felicitaciones.
He’s just the cutest little scruffbag!!!! Bless him!!
It's amazing to see him go from so still to wagging his tail nonstop!
That’s the cutest dog ever!
He is so cute! I’m sure he’ll find a home in no time.
Look at his tail waggin at the end! Dogs are the best.
Like a bearded collie with short legs. Aww, he's so lovely!
His adorable soo happy!
I love love the cleaning up bubble part the best, once you know the good times will start…
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY ADOPT DON'T SHOP! 😃
OMG he is ADORABLE! It's wonderful to see him so happy.
God, you do great work. It's so rewarding to see the "after". Ziggy looks so happy. Thank you.
That's the best bit seeing how healthy and happy they look after being rescued!
Oh my sweet baby looked so defeated. Living on the streets really was hard for this sweet dog. Another life saved ❤️
OMG who cares who's first?!?! It's the rescue and an innocent life saved that's important, not you!!!
🤣🤣🤣
Desperate for attention. 🥴
Having great people around you ! Family friends and a safe Home means the world !!!
I understand his fear and lonelyness !!!
Without all this !!!!!!
This world is a very dark place ! I've been there !
I'm so very proud for him !God bless everyone involved !❤️🙏
He's adorable.
@Angie G - I agree that Eldad is handsome! What do you think about the dog?
@@kevinp8108 😂😂😂
I swear, Loretta's voice is all what this poor souls need. I think she can heal just by talking.
I agree and I feel the same way about Eldad's voice as well.
Ziggy turned out to be so handsome and adorable under that thick fur coat. So sweet. You did wonders for him. I love these animal rescue videos.
Poor baby…thank for saving him. I so admire what you do. Hubby and I will set up a monthly donation.
Ha, Ziggy reminded me a bit of an Ewok seeing him run through the snow :)
Ziggy was the perfect name for a dog who looked like a Rastafarian when y'all found him💓
The Komondor is the breed whose coat looks like a mop and/or Rasta. Ziggy looks like a Briard/Komondor mix. It would be nice to have a definitive answer.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏🙏
Ziggy, the best name for this rastadog! 😂 Can't even describe how I like Your work! It gives an example of true humanity, how we should treat animals and... each other! Thank You 😍. I'm supporting You whenever it's possible for me.
While Ziggy sounds better than Bob, let's be frank (no pun intended eh): the father was a legend, not his son. eh
Wishing we lived in California, because we'd adopt Ziggy in a heartbeat! Thank you for all that you do!
What a cutie pie!! Ziggy is the perfect name for him! It's always so heartwarming to see the dogs so happy after some TLC. 🤍
I wish all animals could have
a loving owner
Good Lord, that poor dog had "given up" - not wanting to live anymore. Amazing transformation. All you need is love. BTW, where'd the snow come from?
I love it! Zig learned how to dog! I hope he gets a wonderful home.
He is so beautiful. Thank you Eldad for another great rescue. I pray that he finds a wonderful home. Wish I could take him myself.
He was so broken, my God. It's almost incredible to see how happy and playful he was at the end of the video. Thank you for helping him.
He looks like my Dallas! I would totally take him if I didn’t have 3 fur babies. ❤️🙁
You have a place in yours hearts vor every dog or cat, all animels in troubl (and the others to). It is in your voices; in every lovely word and in the hands, so soft. So they get trust in you and the rescue can come to an god end. Love you!
❤♥️💜 from Germany!
I love watching these kidnappings. Same thing happened to me a couple years ago. I was just minding my business and some lady lured me with a cheeseburger….. next thing I know, I get lots of exercise and belly rubs. Life’s pretty good, I guess I can’t complain.
Thank you so much Hope for Paws, these beings deserve to be healthy, happy and have a great forever family.
Ziggy needs to be in an animal movie, he's so adorable!
Aw, he's so cute, running in the snow. Another job well done by Eldad and the ladies. Wonderful.
Thank You for saving Ziggy and all the others. You are all such AMAZING humans. This World is a much better place with you Angels in it. 🙏❤🙏
he looks so sad at first 😭 so great to see him back to a little dog attitude in the end
Please if you can join me and be a monthly contributor to this wonderful team. We need to support these rescues. ♥️♥️♥️ ziggy is finally safe and loved
