I was in Kuwait during their USO tour. Took me this long to comment. They played at Camp Buering and I was in front, leaning against the stage. They played Reminded of You, and Ryan leaned down, held my head and placed the mic in my face and let me sing the song. This song is one of my favorites of all time.
strmtrpr79 bro! That night made the deployment worth it. Ryan has one of my dogtags. I tried to get Mike to let me play Bodies on drums... he said “what did he say?” And Ryan says “he wants to play with dead bodies!” That was in 2006... wow...
@@delta942085 by that time, the novelty of us sacrificing our lives had worn off. It wasn’t as gnarly… at least the news made it seem that way. Thanks for your support & service too brother
I love this song it means alot to me my dad was over in Iraq for 2 years escorting the convoys I respect what he did over there and I'm glad he made it home. props to all our men and woman over there
guys have no idea how good it feels when bands.. any kind even if you dont like the music, go over seas and put on concerts for us.. really does help keep morale up
These guys are so awesome. They've been across seas and visited the troups and have showed their support for the IAVA. I was lucky enough to meet them in August in Mankato, MN... Coolest guys I've ever met.
Awesome!!! I was there for the show in Balad, Iraq back in '06. What made it even cooler was that when me and my friend (who was also deployed) was at their show in Kentucky, the lead singer got to hang out with us for about an hour after the show. I was speechless!!!
Good luck man. Were all going to miss you, we wish you the best. Don't let anyone tell you what you are doing is wrong. You are the person who is protecting us. In my book, you are a real hero. A person that stands up for what is right, even if you may disagree with it. THANK YOU
I enjoy this song all the more that a great band is giving their respects to the soldiers. Even better that they held a concert for the soldiers. Their spirits probably were lifted off the charts afters this concert.
Ok mate, thanks for clearing that up, thought it was a bit strange when a website I was on said there were two bands called Drowning Pool. I was sure that had to be some kind of trademark infringmement, but now it makes sense.
Chucky Herrera slipknot is another kind of metal, nu metal for some people better, but that thing about comparing bands dont go with me..metal bands should be united, people should not try to say that one is better than the other, that only end in hate
You're right -- you have nowhere to go, and nowhere is where you've been all this time. You are the original nowhere man. You have nothing to offer those of us who are here in the greatest country on earth.
Dedicated to my grandpa, dad, 2 of my aunts, 5 of my uncle's and myself that went to go fight people we had no business with for 20 years, and that one marine that got a bayonet kill
We actually got to listen to this song in my History class. We were talking about how in WWII radio shows would take requests from soldiers so they can hear their favorite sounds. (like the sound of steak sizzling) So then our teacher mention Drowning Pool coming to Iraq to honor soldiers. And it gave people in my school an opportunity to hear real music. Yes Katy Perry I'm looking at you!
He is Ryan McCombs from SOiL. he was great in the SOiL as well but in 2005 he came to the Drowning Pool and now AJ Cavalier is singing in the SOiL and he is pretty good too
Anyone that is for the soldiers is awesome I really like all there music and i really like how they actually went to iraq and helped out our soldiers THIS IS FOR THE SOLDIERS!
Best place for a concert like this is in the desert when there is nobody else around and crank up the volume really loud and since there is no objects in the middle of the desert! There nothing for soundwaves to bounce off making it sound less louder!
100% all banker funded on both sides, all started by contrived events for the destruction of humanity. The "elites" laugh while they send our young men off to die for their own self interest.
thank you soldiers and I know its not much but thank you for serving and protecting your country my friends dad has served in iraq so he knows what its like

So you only want to be a soldier when you don't have to fight? Admirable. Unfortunately Americans don't have that choice. We stay committed to what we choose. I was reading a few of your earlier posts, and I am pleased to say that you don't represent the general consent of any foreign military personnel that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting
As the father of a Marine infantry SAW (squad assault gunner) I can assure you that our service men and women deserve our utmost respect and admiration. Try putting your life on the line for our country; it will change your point of view; or shut your mouth.
This is a fucking awesome song by an awesome band, and its go to see those soldiers enjoying themselves with some music they can kick ass to. I saw another video where they had raining blood by slayer blasting out of a humvee while on patrol in iraq. Thats fucking brilliant!
to all my fellow brothers and sisters in arms.....thank you for your sacrifice....only a soldier, knows what another soldier feels. -Saber Fox out............
i dont believe anyone thinks that the taste of war is sweet, but it is sometimes a necessity when you are dealing with a fanatic group of people who want to see you, your father, your mother and any other family members you may have, DEAD. i pray everyday that the war will be over soon and i also thank god everyday for giving us those few who are willing to fight for what is right to keep us safe.
@StanleyMarsh007 no no, im sure USO and very few celebrities have gone to afghanistan however only to bagram for a very limited amount of time. how do you know have you been to afghanistan or iraq?
Now they need to make a song to thank the Marines for all the hard work and ass kicking we've done. Even though I know this song goes out to all the troops who've done their part in Iraq. But it sings about thanking soldiers and shows the army but damn they need to sing one about the marines.
I was in Kuwait during their USO tour. Took me this long to comment. They played at Camp Buering and I was in front, leaning against the stage. it was an awesome show at Buering, he even took a hit off my buddies hooka during the show.

Bands like these keep the troops motivated and dedicated and let off some steam after a long period of time fighting!
These guys are so awesome. They've been across seas and visited the troups and have showed their support for the IAVA. I was lucky enough to meet them in August in Mankato, MN... Coolest guys I've ever met.
I saw these guys while I was in Iraq! It's even more awsome when you're right there in the crowd listening to this song!
That was really nice of drowning pool to go and perform for the troops. :D
As a former serviceman, I was always grateful for the USO bringing entertainment. Great stress relievers.
It was truly amazing seeing them live, I used to listen to this and a few other songs when outside the wire on missions.
I have always had alot of respect for Drowning Pool, and this confirms why...Much RESPECT!
as an American soldier... to the people arguing... shut up... to drowning pool... thank you, this video rocks!
I will forever love and appreciate DP for their music and support of the troops; army, navy, air force and marines. ROCK ON!!!
Good times of old Drowning Pool !!!
That had to be an awesome concert

It's his vocal style, its so distinct, and I know it from Soil so well that the first time I heard this I thought it was Soil.

THANK YOU
Blessings and health to all the brave heroes
best time to play this song is at night when your parents are sleeping and having it full blast, i love it
Not sure of the reason why, but the drums seem to be amplified or "louder" in this video compared to the original song. I like it.
agreed with you brother! listen to this shit in a vehicle with the volume and bass cranked up and it will feel like a little concert LMAO!
It's even louder when the drum set is an AK or PKM
I enjoy this song all the more that a great band is giving their respects to the soldiers.
Even better that they held a concert for the soldiers. Their spirits probably were lifted off the charts afters this concert.

Great band, great song, awesome video.
This kinda sounds like slipknot
Chucky Herrera Don't compare the master Drowning Pool with Slipknot
Chucky Herrera slipknot is another kind of metal, nu metal for some people better, but that thing about comparing bands dont go with me..metal bands should be united, people should not try to say that one is better than the other, that only end in hate
Marines FTW! 0:48 was my favorite part with the soldiers all hyped up lmao.

Haha, I love Drowning Pool. Me and my buddies listen to this song alot to remind us what we're really doing when we're out there doing our job.
