this isn’t the metallica sound, they lost that after AJFA this is hard rock not thrash metal and they’re meant to be a thrash band so i disagree with you there bud
@@josephharley7642 Well, then we really disagree. I don’t think there’s such a thing as Metallica sound. There’s only Metallica, and always what they’re just playing, is the (current) Metallica sound. In the middle of the 1990s e.g. it was.
This song was the 1st time I heard Metallica. Back when I was a teenager, we got cable and started watching MTV for the first time. This song, the music and the band looked so different from other songs on MTV. Had no idea Metallica was already such a big name globally. Bought Load album soon afterwards and just loved it, expecially Hero of the day, Bleeding me and Until it sleeps. Became a Metallica fan with only hearing that 1 album. Then when I bought their previous albums, I fully knew what real Metallica was!
I feel as though if any other band had released Load or Reload then they'd be thought of as amazing hard rock albums but because Metallica released them they weren't as highly regarded.
I have said this for years. I think if it would have been say a Godsmack album, it would have been heralded as one of the all time greats. People were not ready for this type of departure from Metallica. I had friend who threw out this CD after one run through.
Totally, I'm nearly as big a fan of load or Reload as their first 5 albums, but this song is still sheer badass even if it's only radio rock. I don't get why people hate on them so much, it's not like the converted to jazz or hip hop. It's just a change of pace because they wanted to try something different, even though it really didn't work out too well...

I'm incredibly glad my brother introduced me to them with this song, it blew my 11 year old mind. This is still great 20 years later.
The first Metallica song I listened and immediately fell in love with the riffs and the vocal
Was that a jojo reference 🤨
@@Skullman8970 this album was released in 1996. Was there Jojo at that time?
@@esztergom3721 Yes actually, Part 1 was 1987 but Part 8, the Part in which this appears as a reference wasn't out for a long time
This song has some real meaning. Hubris is the first word that comes to mind.
RUclips YOU WANT HEAVY…..METALLICA GIVES YOU HEAVY🤟🤟One of my favourite Metallica songs
One of my favorite Metallica songs, so underrated glad they busted it out and played it a few weeks ago at the show in Amsterdam. Same with Until It Sleeps.
Love Until it Sleeps. And No Leaf Clover. All masterpieces.

Off to never never land.
Nice reference
@@trenchrat5359oh so you got it too. Noice.😊
brings back the memory of ... snow

when I used to run away from school
Does everyone realize how accurate this has been for the past 10 years and how one by one the biggest names are falling and crumbling..
you know, metallica just never gets old. no matter which song from what album i could just listen all day long and be content
Old and
I agree ;)
Jane Korkoske yeah lulu was great
Could you do it with St. Anger?
Now you put that crown on my head
The perfect song for the current state of Disney.
That bass slaps harder than my dad.
Not as hard as my mom's. Even Trujillo can't slap harder than my mom.
Is ur dad a fruit seller with melon parfait
bro...
Bro you okay?
Here's a guy that grew up in a different America, a different time, perhaps a better America time in? Lol
My absolute favourite song from 'Load' and the message is a timeless lesson to those at the top of the pyramid ...Will always love you guys!!! ❤❤❤
Masterpiece of a song!
Riffs are just eargasmic!!
Yes
"You point your finger but there's no one around," that definitely applies to some supervisors and business owners I've worked with in the past.
Best Metallica VIDEO and the most underrated Song they have.
I think until it sleeps is the best one.
St Anger video kicks ass too
nah one had best video
@@FaultyFreya actually One is the most distracting music video of theirs IMO
@@shaneculliton9975 i was going from person preference as i adore the video for 1. now fuel can be distracting
This song is one of my favorite of Metallica
grumpy Jason playing his bass while pouting is my favorite thing
Love the bass, especially in the intro. I have always liked this song ever since I first heard it.
James has one of the best voices in metal 🤘
TIMELESS!!!! Metallica has a knack 4 doing the unexpected. ROCK ON!
This tune is all NEWSTED !!!!!!!!!!!!
This whole album is a lot better than I remember it being.
Every song in 'Load' is underrated. I will never forgive any Metallica fan who didn't make this album a success during that time.
This was the first song I learned on drums! Love this album
The sound of the LOAD! Love it. Probably the best Metallica album ever.
🤦
Bro is insane 😂😂😂😂
Totally agree! What a new life blown into this set of gems!
Liked it a hell of a lot, but still a huge reach!
And to all the haters out there, my favs were also of MOP & RTL, but you're out of your mind if you say they s#ck now!!!!!
Epic song. Bass line badass 🤘🏽🔥🎸
This song blows away sandman
This is puzzels to my ears.
Metallica: The kings of kings.
Saludos desde Argentina.

Where's Your Crown, Kings Of Nothing . . ?
BEST DAMN SONG SO UNDERTAKEN!
Totally forget about this song. Glad they played it live in Paris 2023 72 Seasons Tour.
This song deserves way more recognition and appreciation.
I can smell the beauty of this song
lyrics souds like a puzzle
One of the most insane for metal fans. King-long live you guys.
Legendary song and video by one of the greatest bands ever! This video brings my thoughts flooding back to the 90's.
The beginning is fire!
For me, this is "the perfect Metallica song", I think it’s even better than Enter Sandman.
this isn’t the metallica sound, they lost that after AJFA this is hard rock not thrash metal and they’re meant to be a thrash band so i disagree with you there bud
@@josephharley7642 Well, then we really disagree. I don’t think there’s such a thing as Metallica sound. There’s only Metallica, and always what they’re just playing, is the (current) Metallica sound.
In the middle of the 1990s e.g. it was.
@@convarHUN agreed 100%
It’s Inauguration Day 2021 and for absolutely no reason this song has been playing on repeat in my mind.
Another great song from a great album. Great bands grow and evolve over time. So do great fans.
You gots to get a point across. I Am king nothing in my own life thank you for gold.🎉
A very underrated album and song! Love you Metallica!
Underrated song, probably in my top 15 Metallica songs!
In my list this is the top one ..
If i was a WWE superstar this would be my WrestleMania entrance with Metallica playing this live
I don’t care what anyone says. This song slaps
Not all you Slap!!!!!!
Too bad that much this time period doesn't.
I feel as though if any other band had released Load or Reload then they'd be thought of as amazing hard rock albums but because Metallica released them they weren't as highly regarded.
Harren Mistry same but Load was pretty good
I have said this for years.
I've just played this video for my son,and he asked me to play it again.
HE'S 4 YEARS OLD!!!
You’re son haves good taste!❤️
@@musicbubblegumtv5886 thank you!
Well your son is a metalhead now like you. Well done
@Zombie Hunter kakyoin no
The most underrated Metallica song known to man. This is amazing!!
One of the most underrated Metallica songs. . . ever.
