Hey, Joe... I have to say that for the money, this particular Nissan is well worth the investment as opposed to the Infiniti QX80. More bang for the buck and the conveniences are just not that different when you consider all that you get with this Nissan model. This Armada is great, in my humble opinion. I'd take the Armada over QX80 any day like the major changes they did with it. In 2017 the body looked old than like was a 2010 now looks more top of the line. I love the blue color as interior color to these are popular see a lot of them now.
Platinum is almost 100k in the Middle East if you get the fixed middle row hand rest console trim with all other options. Car does looks majestic on the road, they did a great job.
Merry Christmas Joe and Lori. Nissans doing a great job……..I would go with this Nissan , vs Infiniti. You get the same features as Infiniti, so you’re just paying more for the badge, and most likely, service costs. I like the look of the Nissan more, as well.

I'd get the Armada and save the 💰 Not much has changed with Nissan/Infiniti since the days where my 01' I30t was a fully loaded Maxima with an analog clock.
love the Armada and the QX80 and glad they don’t look the same exterior wise. The QX80 is very sexy.. the Armada is handsome. Think I’d go with the Armada (midnight package)

I have a 2008 Nissan Xterra about to hit 200,000 miles that had been good to me. No major fixes so far so good. I was looking for a Ford Expedition but I might be test driving this new Armada 👍🏼
I am FINALLY getting one of these it looks like. They make an "S" trim with fewer bells and whistles again and the end of year incentives are crazy. For the 4WD "S' the MSRP is only 55k to begin with, and the end of year incentives are huge this year (supposedly an update is coming next year). It may never be this affordable again to buy a Nissan Patrol new (albeit a decontended one). The "S" I am looking at still has LED headlights, 360 degree camera though. But the stereo is only 4 speaker, the rear view mirror is manual, the outside mirrors are still heated. Exactly the simple but incredible sturdy, high mechanical content, lifetime durability SUV one would want. And I am paying less than a new loaded Pathfinder or 4Runner, for brand new full size V8 body-on-frame goodness.!! 🥰

Your maintenance cost will be the same as a QX80. I do say, if I wasn't looking at the leather I would say I was in the Infinity. top price $71k for Nissan, entry price $71k for Infinity. It's 60 miles to find an infinity dealer, Nissan dealer is just down the street. No question which it would be. Enterprise gave me an Infinity for a rental and outside of filling it with gas I love it. The backup sensors and the auto braking when traffic slows have already saved me from another accident. Visibility is great. The pickup trucks are not as intimidating as it was in the sedan or mini van.
You do know that the Armada is the least expensive full size SUV out ofv every single manufacturer right? So if this is not a great value, then you probably should be shopping for a mid size
We recently traded our 200 series Landcruiser twin turbo v8 for a new 22 y62 patrol.. haven’t and won’t be looking back. Y62 / armada is an amazing car
Well Joe you got me 2 for 2 today haha. Bought wife a 2021 Armada SL earlier this year. $58k with captain chairs in middle instead of bench. Vehicle does it all. We tested similar Infiniti but for the cash went Nissan. Agree with the sunroof zonk! Love the Platinum package wheels and digital rear view mirror wish we got those. BTW it can tow a hell of a lot!
Do you like the second row captain’s chairs? Seems almost all have them, but I think the bench seat is more practical. But I may settle for the 7 seater. In my Expedition ( totaled a month ago, USAA is still slow rolling my payment; sad such a good company went woke and keeps losers on staff) I hauled my get home bags etc. So needed space back there, the 3rd row seat was NEVER used, but occasionally had 4 passengers, 3 in the second row.
@@Citizen-pg8eu we do like the Captian chairs and have more use for them than bench. They fold very easily for access to 3rd row. Storage between the chairs is large. One grip is they don’t move back or forth.
Well that’s a great suv I almost bought back when I was married when they first came out I loved it but it was so nice that I didn’t want to take it off road so that’s when I brought a Dodge Durango still room for family and I didn’t feel too bad taking it off road but I wish I could have both Nissan this suv is nice if I get the chance of buying one again I’ll probably get one even though that freakin Jeep you review awhile back was awesome but the cost was a little bit higher than I could afford but I can dream Thank you Lori and Joe you guys are busy is it because this time of year all the new cars are coming out?

The only mistake is that Nissan USA don't have the Aussie/USE Patrol. Now that is a beast, with a wealth of 4WD Upgrades. Way tougher than just a family wagon.

You should check out the insta360 cameras. Would be pretty dope if when you do the pov driving, it’s more leveled to what you actually see when you’re driving. The cameras are pretty small and light
That brake calipers and rotors are just too small for a big SUV. Other than that, I like almost everything about the new Armada. I'd take the Armada over QX80.

This thing looks like the Infiniti QX56. Not interested. Its probly a half decent vehicle though. Nissan's are usually pretty reliable and it has a fairly nice interior with tv's in the back headrests. For a family of four this would be a nice ride. I would go for a Grand Cherokee Limited though and have a BETTER off road vehicle, better all year around and save about 20G's. Maybe even 30G's.

The Nissan / Infiniti are 2 different worlds. The Nissan and Infiniti are quite simular but here’s the difference with the platinum / sensory. Is it worth the Infiniti YES! The top tier Infiniti has a hydraulic suspension, semi analine seating surfaces, far more comfortable, and handles much better at higher speeds, sound system I found a better deal with Infiniti. The perks of the armada… Japanese made imported, holds less carbon in the valves, and a tried and true platform that is dated, but durable I own the qx80, my cousin owned the platinum armada. He has a brake controller, I don’t, I have a much better ride, handling, stereo. Your money, your choice. Either way, you can’t go wrong with either one. Durability is key here
The Nissan patrol looks better tbh and offers better features same exterior but with a different body kit looks more aggressive also the center storage is a fridge which really comes in handy in my country
As a Toyota, Nissan and Ram Fan I want this Patrol over 2023 Sequoia Because I dont like Hybrid and Electric Easy to maintain and ill swap its engine for V9x V6 Diesel from D40 Navara
I think it will be very interesting to compare against the new Land Cruiser as it will be a newer V6 Turbo technology against old school V8. If they are both available in your region. Merry Christmas.
Big, bigger, Armada. One massive machine. 15.5 mpg is not inspiring. I would rather see a hybrid. The exterior is quite nice. I concur with RAITI that those door panels are out of the 40's.
At the price of one of these we get a Toyota Fortuner ( sort of a 4runner ) here in India. The Indian automotive market has tonnes of competition but still we dont get amazing cars
To honest it's just the import duties and the taxes and stuff. Many Automakers dont bother with cars like these cause they are just too expensive to import. Plus Full size SUVs like this are just too big for India imo

Neither because they both do not have the hands free foot trunk activation. I would get the Infiniti Qx60 b/c it’s equipped with hands free foot trunk activation.

That's very smart the new Sequoia's 437 hp and 583 lbs torque tows 9,400 lbs and it's fuel economy is be than the Nissan.

in terms of fit and finish, I’m pretty sure they are made at the same factory in Japan so that is not a differentiator between the two

To honest it's just the import duties and the taxes and stuff. Many Automakers dont bother with cars like these cause they are just too expensive to import. Plus Full size SUVs like this are just too big for India imo
@@adityaranjit We have customers of all type , entry level cars are the kings. If someone can afford this car at the price it's sold in the US they won't face any problem with it being big
Neither because they both do not have the hands free foot trunk activation. I would get the Infiniti Qx60 b/c it’s equipped with hands free foot trunk activation.
