I went with attic trusses. And I'm glad I did it but are set at 24" or 16". they can require almost twice as many and are twice as expensive each. Added about 10,000 for the attic trusses. Probably an extra 3000 in labor, they were 2 piece. Plus decking and stairs add to the cost. I also went with a cupola. That was about 1400 for a 48" cupola and the install .I can see why someone would pass on it. It's a serious cost that could almost double the price of the materials. It looks like it's a nice hobby building. I bet the guy was excited to see it going up.

+Pioneer Pole Buildings, Inc. Your crew could get it done a hell of a lot faster if you put he roof together on the ground on the inside of the walls and hook modified boat trailer cranks placed at the top of each pole and raise the entire roof at once complete with roofing except around the poles of course.

I'd rather see a 12/12 pitch with custom trusses being built on the ground to allow for a second story. Why skimp with a pos truss when you can set a golden crown on that building?
