How thick does the modified stone need to be? Also how do you set the height compared to grade if adding 4" slab?
What size/type stone is that? The video says modified stone but more specifics would be nice. Thank you,
Hello, The type of gravel known as 2A modified is composed of stones that work well for compaction. No stone is larger than 1.5 inches in diameter and it goes down to the smallest stone, which will be screenings (very fine stones). How it works is when it is laid, the big stones allow for a solid foundation and then the smaller stones lay in-between, which it then compacts almost like concrete (with a roller).
EST of the cost to prep the site I had it cleared of trees still some stumps left. Not leveled yet. Looking to build a 40X60 or 40x80
