      @@euzebio2343no he says that there is some curvature but much less than previously told, which means that the earth must be a lot larger. But the problem with that is that the entire Helios model will be destroyed in that case since everything in it is calculated on top of this diameter. So if the calcs turn out correct and effective it’s proof for what many already have observed, that we do not live on a spinning ball with this size.

  • @suiinside

    the curve might be an artifact of the different layers the light passes through prior to getting to the pixel sensor .....(which has optical optimized layer of glass) but the curve of the lens pressure difference of the air in the plane and outside the plain and composition of the air, and the plane window are all interfering with the path of the light (plane window being very sketchy due to the different layers and bad optical property quality)
    but then again, 1 million miles compared to the globe radius ... you would say EARTH the area we know and mapped is then pretty flat (as in a comparative measurement from globe earth assumption to "flat earth measurement) .... an other thing is that the area you sampled is over land, and we know land has shape, surface change ... but i think on this scale that does not really matter any more :D

    • @jtolanmedia1
      @jtolanmedia1  19 часов назад +9

      yeah, its a complicated problem, window, air refraction, surface variation, etc.. initially I was going to do a statistical analysis and show the curvature with high confidence, then my mind was blown by how far we're seeing, based on the slight shift close to the horizon. The FFT phase cross-correlation is incredible, I never would have accurately determined the effects close to the horizon by manually analyzing the images, like I've done in one of my previous videos. I checked with the USGA and they use IR lidar sensors, and not even they can determine the curvature, they say the data they have is "elevations above the ellipsoid" the magical imaginary ellipsoid. Nasa doesn't help, in fact I'm accusing them of purposefully using fisheye lenses to hide the truth. Nothing wrong with using fisheye lenses for a wide perspective, but they are covering up the truth. The Chinese released incredible flat surface imagery with new lenses, panorama lenses. Truth can not be hidden much longer. The space age has brough about a new understanding of the surface of the earth.

      @@jtolanmedia1 So you know when someone says "I´m like a MILLION miles away"... well... there ya go. Science! ,-)
      Anyhow, fun fact, thing about the human body and plane windows, the european spine f.ex, has a difference in +10/-10 cm approx. between each person, hence when you sit on a plane, or bus, though never in the cinema for some reason, or concerts come to think of it, most peoples heads line up, although if they all stood up, the height differences would be as per usual. So, we all sit next to the window and look downwards through a concave window, and if you bend your neck to get a better "straight" view of the horizon, you will usually be looking through the top of the window giving you insta curve due to the window shape which I´m sure you´ve worked out when filming yourself. So, a child will be looking out the middle of the window where it will see a flat, level surface by default if it looks straight towards the horizon. Reverse Santa basically. This one hits harder for most though... "So who WAS the Globe then?" *cries*. Over and out. Lev Vel PS! The spine thing is best illustrated with (a member of the opposite) sex. Line up the top of your hips standing next to each other, you or the other person will have to bend the knees to level with the other person, look into their eyes when hips are same height and say: "Hip to Hip, Eye to Eye". Works every time, 69% of the time. Merry Yuletide

      sure, were extracting information from two images that contain parallax. i.e. objects closer to us move through a larger observed angle, then object farther in the distance, and this horizontal shift can be converted into distance. So the code determines the horizontal shift, in very thin slices, all the way out to the horizon. Then these slant radial distances are converted to horizontal and vertical distance. H distance from under the aircraft, and vertical distance below the horizon line, (using R* sin(el) and R*cos(el), where el is the elevation angle, determined from vertical pixel index where the slices were processed), and that's it in a nut shell.

    This is a fine algorithm, but you should probably base your unit conversion on data with slightly more precision than 2 digits (like those brochure numbers for lens and sensor data). Take video in the same format (that includes focused on infinity) of an entire revolution, perhaps in an open field or on a high hill, and assemble a panorama with something like Hugin or PanoTools. This should let you calibrate the lens data for your device. Gyroflow can also do a quick calibration using a monitor.

    1. Geographic Analysis
    1.1. Claim that Earth is "incredibly flat.": This claim contradicts overwhelming geographic and geodetic evidence accumulated over centuries, demonstrating that Earth is an oblate spheroid (slightly flattened at the poles). Direct observations from space, GPS measurements, and global topographic studies confirm this shape.
    1.2. Use of aerial and infrared images: While aerial images may appear flat due to scale and limited perspective from an airplane, this does not invalidate Earth's curvature. Geographical methods rely on more robust systems like satellite measurements to determine Earth's shape accurately.
    2. Physical Analysis
    2.1. Parallax and light refraction: The video acknowledges that refraction affects visual perception, which is accurate. However, it uses this phenomenon to argue that Earth is "flat." Refraction can slightly curve the light’s path but does not negate Earth’s curvature; it is, in fact, factored into advanced geodetic calculations.
    1.2. The claim that infrared images eliminate refraction effects is incorrect, as refraction affects all wavelengths, albeit less for longer ones. This is insufficient to invalidate established models. Estimation of curvature at "a million miles.": This calculation contradicts all known physics about Earth's radius, which is approximately 6,371 km (3,959 miles). Assuming such a vast curvature is physically untenable and lacks experimental support.
    3. Geometric Analysis
    3.1. Use of computer vision algorithms. The approach of slicing images and performing cross-correlation is technically valid for measuring relative displacements in images but has limitations: Without precise calibration of the optical system (pixel size, focal length, camera tilt), the measurements lack accuracy.
    3.2. Cross-correlation only measures apparent displacements and does not directly translate to the global geometric shape.
    Conclusion on curvature based on cloud images: Clouds are dynamic and variable structures that are not representative of Earth's curvature. Using them as a reference is methodologically incorrect.
    General Conclusion: The claims in the video do not withstand critical analysis from geographic, physical, or geometric perspectives. The observations presented seem to be based on a misinterpretation of the data and methods employed. Geodetic science has conclusively demonstrated that Earth has a defined curvature consistent with an oblate spheroid. The alleged "evidence" of flatness mentioned in the video is not supported by reliable data or the current understanding of the physical and geometric phenomena involved.

      oh, I haven't heard, I haven't watched other FE videos in years, science is fluid, as more evidence comes in we need to evaluate and shift, and we may even shift back and forth. The satellites and space is what hangs most people up, I was the lead ground system engineer for a polar satellite, infrared, for early warning missile defense, and here I am. We need to rise above the illusion, old simplistic geometric concepts are outdated, curve space time says it all. Sensors are deceived, people that depend on those sensors are deceived.

    Your vision processing algorithm suggests: R = approx 100k (km or mi). OK
    I have one question:
    Right now, the working assumption is that flatness/curvature is uniform in all directions.
    It is a reasonable assumption in working processes.
    However, as we start to look with fine pair of eyes/technology, I am of the opinion that this assumption can be questioned.
    When looking through the view finder, let's say the positioning is such that the horizon is spanning
    - "SOUTH TO NORTH" (left to right).
    - Antarctica towards Arctic (left to right)
    Is south-end elevated relative to north-end?
    Is there a slope? A horizontal slope? A curved (R=100k) slope?
    Will your vision-processing technology pick -up this "south to north" downward slope?

      hey bud, good questions, I'm still thinking how to best process my gigabytes of data, any suggestions welcome. BTW, the scale is miles, 100 000 miles and higher observed radius. Mind blown that's for sure, which means only one thing, the celestial lights we've based our theory on, and the small 4k radius, is dead wrong, this brings everything into question. If the earth is that large, we must be deceived by lights from above, as it passes and is lensed by .... The DOME! They built a futuristic advanced dome to focus the sun light, prismatic in nature maybe, so we could be living in a dome placed at the North Pole of a very large planet, or it's simply a planetarium of grand proportions built by the creators as a habitat for us and the whole animal and plant ecosystem. I have experiments in progress to determine the pixel resolution ...

    It will take some effort to follow your math, but don't you still have to contend with the following math:
    *cos(a) = r/(r+h),* where a is dip angle (easily seen with IR and theodolite). It's simplified with a couple of small-number approximations:
    *1-a^2/2 = (r-h)/r = 1-h/r* so
    *a^2 = 2h/r* or *r = 2h/a^2*
    If *h = 9km* and *a = 3°/57.3°/rad = .0524 rad.*
    So *r = 2*9/.0524^2 = 18/.002741 = 18*364.81 = 6566 km.* The accepted value is *6378,* so I'm a bit high by *3%* - could be worse.

    Hey JT, a lot of work you put in there, and thanks for that, but I do need to point out that when viewing the horizon the visual curvature is definitely not a radius of 3959 miles. The radius of the circle of the visible horizon is much greater. So I would think a fundamental error there on your part to make an invalid comparison like that.

    • @jtolanmedia1
      @jtolanmedia1  20 часов назад +8

      Hi CT, thanks. Lot's of work for sure. Let me point out that this code determines the parallax shift from steep angles out to the horizon, so we're imaging the visible "disk" underneath the plane that has a visible radius (not up-down curvature) in the horizontal plane of over 5000 miles, ( I had a few data points out past 15 000 miles.) We then curve fit a radial cut through the surface profile of this disk, that passes through its center. So not much to do with the horizontal radius of visibility, if I were to take 5000 mi, the limit of visibility and turn that into an equivalent earth radius it would be even larger. We really want to curve fit to data at steeper angles, and closer to the aircraft, where we know from Snell's law that refraction is minimized. USGA tried with IR laser drones, and got a flat surface. Only from space can we get a good perspective to measure the curvature accurately, but we know their tricks don't we. Anyway, in a future upgrade I might extend the code to look sideways from the center, but for now I'm pleased with the accuracy. Manually this would of taken a super long time, and the accuracy would have been poor. Cheers

    • @EdwinDekker71
      @EdwinDekker71 7 часов назад

      Einstein was just a puppet, specifically put in place to discredit the Michelson/Morley/Gale and "Airy's failure" experiments that showed the earth is stationary. He did so by (mis)using a Lorentz transformation to time/length/space ; y = sqr(1- t^2 / c^2) ^-1
      Basically saying that instead of earth being stationary (which it is), measuring devices shrink due to their velocity relative to the "speed of light" which is bunk. The ether has an induction speed which "science" calls "speed of light".
