Im from the Netherlands. When i grew up (born in ´86) we ate Cornflakes, with added sugar, and Smacks (my favortite). I cant remember if there were many more avalaible. But it doesnt fill you up much. I switched to yogurt/kwark and cruesli and the flavoured microwave oatporidge in my teens. Now a brown bread and cheese . If I would eat cereal now I would consider it eating candy/sweets.
I hadn't had cereal in ages. The last time I had it was when I was in university. But one of my favorites is still Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I'm always a classic Cherrios person but if I'm in a mood, that will change what cereal I'm feeling for.

I am with Mrs D....no cereal for me in the morning. Granola with yoghurt or Toast with a slice of Gouda cheese and tomato on top. Freshly brewed coffee to go with that and I am a happy camper.
Your first meal of the day is the first slice of love you'll get so be considered about it. Don't Rush and be thankful that you are fortunate enough to have a first meal.

It's so weird seeing kids complain about sugary cereal. I thought cereal was everywhere like McDonald's. I'm amazed. No wonder why we're all crazy. We throw cereal in our ice cream and on fried glazed donuts. I don't eat it anymore but I was raised on cereal
Cereal is eaten in the UK, but a lot of families now have a more evenly balanced breakfast rather than cereal or milk. Cereals and sugar in general are often discouraged for kids in the UK, especially school aged children.

It's not the cereal and sugar they are not so keen on. It's more the artificial flavour and colours in American cereals which give a very fake, chemical taste. 🤢
There's plenty of sweet cereal in the UK but there's nowhere near that much sugar and certainly no weird colours in it. 😊
And some people have it with hot milk😢😢😢😢

American food in general has a lot more sugar E numbers preservatives and antibiotics . but you don’t have poo on your eggs like we do in the UK

Australian Nutri-Grain (Iron Man food) is the only cereal I would eat, but I can't get it here, so I have a very different breakfast these days.
